We stayed just over the bridge to the old town. It is also known as the city of a hundred towers. When we visited there was construction work going on everywhere. I believe in readiness for hosting EU City of Sport 2025.

Another lovely treat to watch, the photography is first class. How on earth has the wooden structures lasted so well all these years. It puts our brick buildings to shame.
It is amazing, and a tribute to those artisans who built them 500 years ago.
What a beautiful place, so clean and really interesting everywhere you look.
The mayor should be proud and there is restoration work everywhere
And the adventure begins.......
