@sgsystems i do think of myself as somewhat of a history buff, aye :P. But if you don't care about what happened back then, then what are you marching for? I thought that was the whole point of these parades? I agree some people are brought up a certain way and if you're brought up around these things and people who believe it then you're bound to accept it as the truth...all im saying is open yer eyes and don't believe everything that these people tell you. @peacefrog1916 so you are just a history buff then? to be honest i dont care about what happened back then and dont give a shit what the history books say either,cos history is just someones version of events,another persons views will be different so history will always have conflicting views! it doesnt interest me in the slightest anyway, i enjoy parading with the band because this is the way i was brought up and it has been part of my life for as long as i can remember! its who i am!

@sgsystems Of course I didn't know King Billy personally, did you? Youse are the ones who are obsessed with the guy. I just happen to have an education and have read up on my countries history, its pretty plain for anybody to see that King Billy was a tyrant whose rule was imposed, not just on the people of Scotland, but people throughout Europe. This man and his government ordered the Glen Coe massacre and his policies resulted in the starvation and displacement of thousands other Scots.
