Team Building with BITE
United Kingdom
Приєднався 30 вер 2010
Creating feeders, furniture and enclosures for animals across the UK. Either during our unique team builds, or contracted to design and build ourselves, with our main goal to help increase the welfare of all species we work with.
Vlog 3 - Week 3 of the build - Mud, diggers, and a whole new enclosure
Week three of the Hadlow build has had us making a great start to the second enclosure of the Hadlow build. Because it will house a digging species, we've had the digger on site creating a deep channel to sink the mesh into the ground, erect the poles and get it all braced with the top framework.
We've completed the fence separating the enclosure from the goats and started on the safety porch, the front of enclosure 1, and the public stand-off barrier. It's been a challenging week, but the progress has been amazing. Fingers crossed for no wind next week so we can finish the roof of enclosure 1!
Join Chris as he shows you all the progress so far in Vlog 3 of the Hadlow College build.

Lemur Enclosure Makeover - Jimmys Farm Team build
Переглядів 2012 годин тому
Towards the end of summer, we were joined by a group at Jimmy's Farm & Wildlife Park for a Team Build. As part of our information-gathering process, the group has asked to work outside, which led to us working in the lemur enclosure creating furniture in an unused area of the exhibit. We had a fantastic time, and the group did a great job building platforms, firehose hammocks, and joining every...
Primate T-Feeders - Team Build at Jimmy's Farm
Переглядів 20День тому
We have built these awesome T-Feeders in the past for the primates at Woburn, so when we were asked to make them for the macaques at Jimmy's Farm & Wildlife Park it was our chance to upgrade them slightly. Macaques can be quite destructive, so some stronger materials were needed to build them compared to the lightweight first version. The feeders are suspended from different areas in the enclos...

Tiger climbing structure and feeders - Walk through of the Blackpool Zoo build
Переглядів 46714 днів тому
At the end of the summer we had a great time constructing the new climbing and feeding structure for the tigers at Blackpool Zoo. Over a five-day period we used natural poles to build the multi-level structure, using one of the large poles already in the exhibit as the anchor to take everything from. The structure has four levels, with a tilt feeder built directly into it, and we even built a h...
Fossa Enrichment - Team Building at Five Sisters Zoo
Переглядів 18414 днів тому
In the summer we made our way up to Five Sisters Zoo to run a team build for an awesome group. Over the course of the build, the team created a new climbing structure and feeders that attached to the poles inside the enclosure. It was then all linked together with rope ladders that were attached to pulleys, allowing them and the feeders connected to them to be lowered and lifted. The structure ...
Hadlow Enclosure Build Vlog 1 - The framework starts
Переглядів 4421 день тому
Join us on a new video series as we spend the next few weeks creating two new large enclosures at Hadlow College. In Vlog 1 we'll take a look at what has happened over the first four days as we make a start on the framework of enclosure 1, and an overview of what the project will look like over the coming weeks. For more information about our unique team building events, courses or enclosure de...
Meerkat ball-pit, enrichment team build at Yorkshire Wildlife Park
Переглядів 51121 день тому
When we had a team-building group create the awesome encounter bench at Yorkshire Wildlife Park, the plan was always that future groups could build different feeding devices to go in them. Fast-forward a couple of months, and another awesome group created four extra feeders. The encounter bench has two areas where the feeders can simply lift out of, and another feeder then drops into the space,...
Tapir angel feeder - Team Build at Knowsley Safari Park
Переглядів 141Місяць тому
In the summer we ran our first team build at Knowsley Safari, creating two Angel-Feeders for the tapir and vicuña at the park. It was a different one for us, with the building taking place in the old elephant house which was a really unique place to host this event. During the half-day build, the group was split into two teams, each making an angel feeder. The device is designed to allow feedin...

Lion Platform Update - Adding Steps and Feeders During a Half-Day Team Build
Переглядів 537Місяць тому
Occasionally we like to revisit projects and make alterations or additions, which took us back to the lion platforms at Yorkshire Wildlife Park. The original structure was built during an event the public could book. It was designed for the older ladies who sometimes use this enclosure to give them areas to rest and get up off the grass. However, on observation, the steps were just a bit too ta...
Cotswold Farm Park Goat Climbing Structure - Half Day Team Build
Переглядів 23Місяць тому
We popped over to Cotswold Farm Park during the summer to run our first team build in this awesome location. The sun was shining and we spent the half-day team build out in the goat enclosure, creating a new climbing and feeding structure. The team was split into several groups, each taking on a different part of the project. Towards the end, everyone came back together to combine the separate ...
Meerkat Encounter Bench - Team Building activity
Переглядів 313Місяць тому
This meerkat encounter area was created in a team build at Yorkshire Wildlife Park this summer. The idea is that people taking part in encounters can be the ones to fill up the enrichment feeders, and the bench is low enough for them to sit on. The whole thing is modular, with all of the ramps simply sitting on hooks, so it can be reconfigured or even moved if needed. The feeders are also remov...
Primate interaction feeder
Переглядів 62Місяць тому
We love updating designs, and tweaking what has been tried to make them better. And that's exactly what we have done with this public interaction feeder: we made the door work better, gave the insects more chances to climb, and made it slightly easier for the primates to get the food. The design was based on a suggestion by the headkeeper, who wanted a device that the public could use during pr...
Twycross Zoo Gorilla Timelapse Part 1
Переглядів 47Місяць тому
Five days of work in 90 seconds is certainly interesting to watch! We're dead proud of how much we managed to get done in the few days at Twycross Zoo working to update the gorilla enclosure, with almost all of the main structures completed. We'll be heading back in a few days to complete the enclosure over another six days, and we'll be sure to capture everything we work on in that time, but f...

Builds a goat playground, doesn't show us goats playing in it.
That'll be the next video ;-)
Wow, great job!
How much would something like this cost? I’m looking for something similar for our 13 goats, some rescued.😊
Do you mind sending us an email at info@teambuildingwithbite.com as we can help out much more effectivly there :-)
It looks like a great way to get rid of rat problems too! Thank you for sharing 🤭🥰

What kind of fence is keeping them in?
Goats are hilarious, except a goat I once knew. His name was Lucifer. He would hide around the corner and when the children came off theschool bus he would charge with intent to harm. He wound up a at a nice Mexican Restaurant.
Luckiest goats on planet earth.
Did bear get treat or just tried.
Oh yes they got the food out no problem, and it's one of their favorite enrichment items now.
Those killing machines are so cute 🥰
A mental torture device that conditions bears away from natural feeding habits or a long term social evolution program so bears can become a new working class????

"Being extremely cautious of everything new" ...now here's a boy after my own heart.
Phenomenal build guys, we are building our own sulcata x meerkat enclosure atm and this has given me some great ideas. Is there a reason you didn't include a soak pool for the tortoises?
Hey thanks for the feedback. So although most of the design was our own, we still had to work within the budget and restrictions of the client. One of the restrictions was the concrete block which was budgeted and installed before we arrived to build. But, there's a lot of scope with what's there for the team at Filey to add things in such as a pool if they wish to.
Actual angle is 60°, I believe. 0 being a 90° cut

Thank you so much for sharing! I have two Aussies that deserve a natural playground since the backyard is boring and they need height to climb 👍🏼 I’d love to see more detailed footage of the builds so pls keep them coming 👌🏼And thank you for loving and taking such great care of our animal friends🤟🏽
You are so kind, thank you! And good luck with your cats!
Their claws are truly strong
You guys are underrated! Good job!
Thank you so much!
Very nice! A natural and big enclosure. good job!
We love this design, thank you!
Great video! It’s strange why the views are still few. Have you tried to promote video through services like Utify.io?. N]
It gives big cats a small opportunity to use their muscles.
