A structured and supportive community, albeit in tents, is certainly better than being aimlessly aloat in these streets outdoors. Still I think the govt should be immediately placing people in real apt housing the moment they're aware that someone is unhoused. There should be no such thing as unhoused people in our society. I believe it's a human right, and like healthcare.

Homelessness is very hard on people. Everyone in our society should be housed. I believe it is a human right and our govt is not doing enough to change it, and when we very directly could. Thank you to the people in this video who were brave to share their stories. Thank you to the person who made the video. You did a very good job presenting the side some people don't want to see. For all our squawking about "individualism", the truth is humanity makes collective decisions. Although even "decision" is probably the wrong word, because it implies humans have more agency than we likely do. We are driven to progress, to consumerism, to potential long term self destruction in exchange for fleeting pleasures and creature comforts. This is not likely to change any time soon because they're not choices we make so much as deeply embedded impulses. Humanity is placing all its eggs in the basket of technological advancement. We'll see if our technology and drive to advance can save us from many of the brutal consequences it's unleashed along the way.
