Hi, you can use any available port. I use the port 8000 in my examples because it is always available and easy to remember it. Replace this port with 3456,65456 etc. In this example I use the internet connection. Of course the ESP can work as access point without the internet. Is this the same method to write to a variable? As in....use the same set up but running a text box with pop up instead using slider? It makes sense to me anyway. Asign the value to a variable instead of a specified pin so you can call that variable later in multiple code lines. If it isn't, just tell me to dig a little deeper. LOL. Again....great work here. Please don't ever sell your company....just keep going with it! Thank you!

@@wadebrewer7212 I can't understand the question but... yes, the app uses variables to store values. All widgets can read or write to the same variables.

@iliaslamprou as in....if I just want to send a value to the arduino, the IDE coding should look very similar where I have to assign a variable to a virtual memory pin, then in the Virtuino app write to that V-pin and reference the variable it is associated with in the code. Meaning....the code and v-pin set up for a slider should be the same as a value input for a variable. Once I'm done with current generator project (should have done it very last) I have a solar hot water project to work on that I will want to monitor and change temperature setpoint from the app....thats why I'm asking. And thank you for the response by the way, keep up the awesome work with this stuff, the DIY community needs more people like you to make this hobby accessible!

@@phamtien5348I am sorry for the previous answer. Sign in to the thingspeak.com. On the menu select Devices/MQTT. Add a new device by selecting your channel. The server will give you the ClientID, Username and Password. On the arduino code find the lines: //client.connect("cliend ID", "username","password") Replace with your Thingspeak MQTT Device Credentials if (client.connect("ARsMBhk2DyMHKRgwHzceITw", "ARsMBhk2DyMHKRgwHzceITw","oWECJjqX/j8X46bdjGbHXxMW")) { enter your settings in the previous line. I have just downloaded the arduino code from the description of this video. It works fine to me. The only things that I have changed are the wifi ssid and passwork. Try the code with my device settings first. Then replace them with your settings. Check the results to my channel first: thingspeak.com/channels/114938

Hello, I checked the arduino code of this video. I am be able to connect to Thingspeak MQTT using an ESP32. Please try this code. Just change the wifi settings only. It works fine. Then on the thingspeak menu select "Devices/MQTT". Add a new device. Get your client ID, username and password for your device. Then try to connect to your chanel prnt.sc/4h6a4-iyC984

No, the app is not controller. You can edit a schedule only, you can't run it. You need a device for this. You can't do it with modbus devices

Virtuino IoT supports MQTT and Http protocol. Using the http protocol you can send commands to Tasmota device. I am not sure if the the Mqtt connection works with tasmote.

Hello, maybe it's not very clear but the app has a widget for entering price. Maybe it needs a little more growth. It is the "Popup Value Editor". Hello, you have to "portforward" the internal IP and port of the ESP8266 in your router settings. Check your router settings for this. This documentation will help you: virtuino.com/index.php/virtuino/documentation/virtuino-ip-settings-for-internet-connection but you can find unlimited tutorials on youtube. On Esp8266 code you don't need to do nothing. On Virtuino project you have to add the external IP as "Alternative IP" This is the reason Virtuino IoT supports two IPs. You can add both ips (internal and extrernal). On your router settings you have to make the port forwarding.
