I believe that running for councilor requires a dedication to the public good, which she does not show. Her comments about public transportation show an entitled perspective that alienates her from a significant demographic that would benefit from public transportation. To me, she seems entrenched in her views and advocates for herself and those like her but advocacy as a civil servant is meant for everyone in the community- not just those who "have vehicles and rides".
Anyone who says do your own research and refuses to provide sources should be automatically dismissed. She either doesn't have sources outside of Facebook memes and truth social or she made it up entirely. If you can't back up your claims, don't make them.
I think Lloydminster is a prime candidate to test out a private hospital operator. Like they got in Europe. They set their rates with the respective provinces and when you go in for your surgery or chemo whatever you flash your ahs/shs card and the government gets billed. Thru our taxes we pay a health insurance so nothing changes on the citizen's end. The current hospital can stay as an emergency, which global data shows that the public hospitals beat the private sector in terms delivery/quality/cost. But when it comes to elective services, private hospitals can offer more services faster and at a better cost to the insurance provider (government). It's all gonna be to the same standards. They figure out how to attract staff that will keep their operating rooms rolling. You wanna bill as many shoulders or knees or whatever to the insurance provider. So they keep that room staffed and usually they are priced way under what it would cost a public hospital.
There is always a dumbass survey between More Taxes Vs Road/Snow/Garbage But there is never a survey to put Recreation Infrastructure VS Services. And its quite an unfair analysis. The people that pay proprety tax are thinking to vote with their feet with that kind of attitude.
Other communities that built an arena into the pandemic and been hit with cost overruns of covid and building with the pandemic. Moncton for example got a 9000 seat barn for 110$ million. Since then they hosted the world juniors and is in a rotation to host the memorial cup. You built a 100million arena for 3000 seat that might not even have a jr A team in the near future. You guys went too fast and overspent. Lloyd is under 32,000 pop. You want to build a new pool upgrade the airport etc... the money is gone. Too bad. Other facilities will habe to wait until we reach 50k 60k pop. You dont have the tax base for these capital expense. You were a lousy councillor who participated into handcuffing the finances of this community.
I was wondering how the person in the background of Jason's interview could miss seeing the cameras and the interview going on. I was shocked to see the person appear as the next guest to be interviewed. She jolly well knew that interview was going on if she was awaiting her time. Her actions were a disrespectful embarrassment. I won't even bother commenting on your interview. Kudos to you, Kurt, for maintaining your professionalism. Thank you for all the interviews. They were very informative.
God help us all, if you get into city council
"Do your own research" 😂😂😂😂 I bet she thinks herself very smart
She seemed like an absolute nutbag already with her conspiracy theory posts and rhetoric, now seeing an interview though I believe she is just really really really dumb.
Authority should never be entrusted to those driven by self-interest. Her comment, 'My family had a vehicle and rides, so it’s a waste of money,' was completely short-sighted. If she intends to represent her community, she should start acting like it. Bravo to the host, for remaining professional.
Between this clusterfuck of an interview and her posts on Facebook....there is no chance in hell she's getting enough votes to be on council. Might as well start packing her bags to move back to Calgary. Kurt you did an amazing job keeping it together through this. Sorry you had to deal with the crazy..... JFC...who the fuck opens with "You took my V card" as a means of starting an interview for a professional position in government?!
Who is this crazy? Kurt did an excellent job keeping composure and asking for truth!
You should interview Barry Helm.
Let’s go tanner
My comment is concerning the Men's Shelter. It operated for years as temporary housing for men traveling through Lloydminster, down on their luck and genuinely looking for work. I have no issues with Good Samaritan work of that nature. However, this "homeless shelter" has developed into a hornet's nest so much beyond that. The people, both female and male, who hang around the shelter, bring their mental health, their addiction and criminal behaviour (yes I prefer Canadian English spelling) problems to the doorstep of the men's shelter and just never leave! And what are the results? Shooting galleries (drug use) and the likes of opium dens , seem to be the result. The medical clinic which was sorely needed and operated across the street for years is gone completely at the end of this month, just one day away! Patients simply did not feel enough personal safety in order to continue to attend! The good Dentist who operates in the same building (Possibly the only Lloydminster Dentist on the Saskatchewan side) has had his practice deeply impacted as well. Other businesses on the same street are collapsing. And I have not yet even mentioned the area residents, many of whom originally moved into the area and purchased their homes, paying similar taxes to others living in more posh areas of the City, but none the less as most people do invest in their homes their entire retirement savings, now find those homes worthless. If they would like to sell in order to transition into other accommodation, they likely cannot even scratch a down payment out of a sale, let alone a retirement income. I do not know of any families rushing to raise their children in the area. I have heard of the local Church having to clean up the entrance way in order to open their doors on a Sunday morning coming down! Business owners who have invested their toil and tax dollars into the area are having valuable property stolen or damaged to the point of uselessness. I have heard directly from folks living in the area that they feel unsafe outside their homes, in their own back yards, and further do not even sleep well in their beds any more. And yet, they cannot afford to move to the posh neighborhoods where the bleeding hearts arguing for more Samaritan efforts are safely living. I have recently asked City counselors indirectly, and I will now do so directly, would you, David Lopez, love to have the men's shelter EXPAND into new locations in your neighborhood? Do you have a church or public building on your street, that you would suggest is a great location for an expanded Temporary Men's Shelter? Certainly, perhaps the Catholic Church could open up some space to do the Christian Thing! Or even the school gymnasium? I mean it's not like transient temporary folks need to stay anywhere fancy if they are merely passing through looking for work. This men's shelter was never intended to be a residency for addicts in recovery, or a store front for drug dealers seeking a short line of distribution of their products! So perhaps it never was meant to be a policing problem. Or a mental health problem. Or a Provincial welfare problem. But there you have it. The City Counsel best step up and no longer shift the blame and shame elsewhere. If they seek the mantle of leadership, it not be simply to serve those in posh neighborhoods. I am not going to lie, I certainly would not want to run for counsel, as so many now are doing. Outside of a little bit of advantage I might enjoy by being or having been a city counselor, I do not think I am brave enough to take on the job! Thank you Mr. Price. It is quite obvious you have taken a relatively free medium like UA-cam and leveraged it into selling advertising for local businesses. But in the long run you are serving a community service which the local radio and televisions stations can not. And I wish you well at creating trips abroad and having yourself paid well in your own tickets and income by doing so. Feel free to contact me and I believe we can together organize trips to the Pyramids or even to sunny locations like Costa Rico. We will obviously skip danger zones such a hurricane torn Southern United States and soon to be battered by American Civil War.
This woman is insane 💀

I understand the homeless are people like you and me. I also understand that the city chased them out of the woods near the municipal golf course, chased them out of the parks, and any kind of public proprety owned bu the city. Because they cause trouble among some issues. Now that they are in people's yards, doing their thing, now you put the burden on the inmdividual citizen to have some tolerance, to be compassionate, the thing that you failed to show as a municipality. The individual right to be safe on one's proprety or safe home for owners and renters, trumps the collective rights of a municipality to their recreational infrastructure. You guys need to work with the budget that you have to make the people around the shelter feel safe. Wether you have to sell that golf course or cut other recreational activities. Safety is a top priority, like cleaming the snow and trash collection. Some council and mayor we have. Gonna have a 150M$ arena to host Trooper for the 50th time but can't stop children from stepping on needles or people's sheds from catching on fire. Because you chased these homeless out of where you don't want them.
Ottawa doesn't care about your carbon reduction. BOYS, they want to crush the middle class, the independent folks and they want us all dependant upon THEM. They want to bankrupt you.
That's the wef/un plan.
Trudeau lied?! Say it ain't so
Since Trudeau took office you can't believe or trust a liberal
Trudeau lied to everyone, wake up, he is the criminal here.
This is why we need to vote Trudeau out! He is bankrupting everyone, and it has to stop!
I can’t even hear his name without wanting to vomit. Justin Trudeau does not care about Canadians
If you get the money back why are They taking it in the first place because not everybody gets it back And the world will take care of itself go after the countries that are the big polluters That ships everything to us
Promo`SM 😢
Shame on you for increasing taxes. Time to pass the chainsaw in municipal programs. No hay plata!
Kurt I would like to hear from the businesses on how this construction has impacted them more so from these people who have no idea the impact it's had. I seriously don't understand why the street by Scotia bank was under construction as long as it was?
Awesome ads, methinks
