Matt Haynes Reads From Britian Bell's THE CREATION OF MUSIC
A sample of@narratormatt's reading of the new release by Britian Bell.
Bart dreams of being an inventor, of building something that matters. When a famous composer asks him to make an instrument that doesn't exist, an opportunity exceeding his imagination presents itself, along with it, struggle and heartache of overwhelming proportions.
When life throws its worst at him, and his decade-long vision is destroyed by his own hands, everything seems lost. But with the help of friends closer than family, his wife, Adele, and a mountain of grit, an idea becomes a reality.
Take a trip to Florence, Italy, and journey back in time to witness firsthand the creation of the most influential instrument on earth. The invention that changed the landscape of music forever. The king of all instruments. The piano.
Be sure to listen to The Creation of Music (Original Soundtrack) available everywhere you listen to music on January 31st, 2025!

Audiobook Tips For Authors: There's Time
After hearing this, I can firmly confirm I do not have an accent and I've lived in Loudoun all my life. I'm probably pretty weird..........
Also, ive heard roof pronounced more like took, hoof, and hood, and hot is more like hut. But is also closer to baht
Pardon my ignorance . I'm curious, I seen you do accents. But what's your accent? I'm learning English and I seen your videos and as a non-native speaker it's soo much easy to understand! Super clear. And I don't mean only the narrations. All the videos. Is this midwestern accent? or standard American? Thanks a lot!
Mine is General American. BTW if you're interested in Accent Reduction For English tutoring, I offer that :)
Interesting takes, some accurate others quite generically Mediterraen I feel (native speaker). I think that most Maltese people pronounce words well, except the TH which was very accurate and the ING -> INK, but what makes the accent distinct is the intonation... We speak with the exact same "melody" as when we are speaking Maltese, often lengthening and changing the tone of certain sounds as they are said. For example "I already told you!". This would be said as " I alrEAdy tOWld YOu - "All the people" would sound almost like "aLL d pee-pill" (as in medical pills).
Total layman's perspective here but I think it sounds a lot better
Thank you much! Yeah, I think I lean into it with more confidence, no?
Matt, your female narrations are the absolute best! I’ll be listening in a few weeks. I like a small gap between reading and listening. Thanks for this snippet! I can’t wait for Lima One to “come to life”!
Thanks so much N1F
I read this book the other day, couldn't wait for it to come out on audio.... Matt just adds something extra to it.. so Thank you Matt !
CAN YOU DO ANOTHER UPDATE VID ON THIS PLEASE
Confirming: You've seen the update of this one already, yes? (the one hastily shot in my car in the pitch black)?
You'll find a slight gaelic twinge the deeper in the hills you go to the east.
Oh goodness... help us understand. What are the qualities of a gaelic twinge. Any links you can point us to? Or just giveaways with how some words are pronounced?
Matt,I really enjoyed your clarity to best understand...
As a Fijian that’s pretty good!
Emphasize the R rrrrrr 😊
Good attempt but it sounds more russian / Indian / scottish
Bula, and Talofa! I have been living in Fiji now for 10 months. I moved from Australia (Samoan). I never realised my aussie accent was so strong until living here. I think you have done an excellent job. I would say a 8/10. I would say you're missing the speed of which they talk (of course you are not Fijian lol) and the little accents they put on the end of their sentences. This is more a slang or habit of the local dialect mixed with a little Hindi flavour. But great work my friend. You're a better than me at the accent lol. Blessings and Vinaka.
Our english is more British english oriented than Amercan and your song is nowhere close to it😂😂😂😂you sound more Scottish😂😂😂...
Huh, is it the trill that gives it the Scottish sound?
Could work alittle more on the pronunciation The D and the r shouldn’t sound Russian but you make it sound heavy Not sure how to further explain on that
No, I get it. Go lighter on the trill and centralization, correct?
@@narratormatt yeah can try that
That’s one of my favorite accents you’ve done. Loved it with the song lyric. Thank you
Nice accent
why thank you. How did you come across this channel? I'm always curious
This is helpful!
Thank you, Nancy. How are projects going?
reading salem’s lot by SK, trying to imagine what the characters sound like
Yeah, SK is kinda tricky because although the majority of his books are set in Maine (and the man's a Mainer, through and through) there are very few whose dialogue is written to indicate the downeast dialect. I mostly hear General American in my head when reading his books. How about you?
I was NOT prepared for how funny you would be at 4:26🤣🤣
Why thank you. How did you come across this vid? I'm always curious.
@@narratormatt Was hosting a D&D party for my fiance; he plays & I do not, but I wanted to serve them food in some fun, role playing way. The DM & I had initially decided I'd be a Valkyrie, (my fiance's character prays to Loki,) and bring them a feast. So I was trying my Oklahoman hand at some accents lol we ended up just having Loki summon them all to a tavern where I was a wench on my last straw with Loki and his sh*t, but since he had "honorable guests" we served them. The menu's were cool lol but thanks a million for having this up here. It was a lot of fun to practice, as I love doing silly impressions a lot anyways.
For everybody hating on Channing's Gambit.. FACE
FACE? Explain
@@narratormatt a lot of people were downplaying his cajun accent, and it actually wasn't that bad
It's basically a shortened way of saying, 'in your face'
in Kentucky, "on" is pronounced like "own" with the pronunciation of "gone" rhyming. Also, ruined is pronounced "rurnt" rhyming with "burnt."
Saying those words as you described: makes my lower lip jut out. Am I on the right track?
That sounded very alien to me UA-cam is filled with ppl speaking with a Trini accent. Anyone can copy the speech patterns and before long they'll pick up the rhythm. Trini talk is much easier than Jamaican patois and other creoles. Trinidad was a British colony. If you listen to news broadcasters and politicians in Trinidad you can hear the British in their voice. That standard form should be the starting point before getting into street talk.
Do you find then that the O's become eh-ooz
My mawmaw was cajun and gambit is one of my favorite characters so i thought i should try it
I'm from Louisville (try pronouncing that)and was very impressed. You got a lot right including the multiple accents and the nasal and tangy accents. Think of how bluegrass is traditionally sung. In Louisville its a flater accent but when i lived in Philly a i had olenty if folks making fun of the accent i never knew i had and asking where i was from. Well done.
LOO-vill... correct?
@@narratormatt close but not quite there. Although you might find some who say that since there are a few accepted ways and if you say if fast enough no one will care or notice. I often say Luhvul or maybe bits Luhvul. Helps if you have marbles or water in your mouth. Most say Lou uh vul. Some say looovull. Of course there's loo ee ville. I've heard people say older people used to give it the proper pronunciation but locals got too lazy. Radio and TV personalities often use that version. I often use it for outsiders. Personally I think it sounds nicer.
This is actually pretty helpful
Well, alright them. Are you one of the Gambit-voice seekers?
@@narratormatt He's onto me...
I love this video! Thumbs up to the algorithm.
Well, alright then. Why do you think the algorithm kicked me over to your corner?
@@narratormatt I have no idea. Perhaps my interest in language? But I don’t watch that many linguistics videos. And I’m not Danish either. Just luck, probably. The algorithm often hands me videos with few views, many of which I’m not interested in.
Could you make a playlist of all of your accent videos? I reference some of them for DnD but they are scattered across your channel.
Done!
This is fascinating analysis. I love this series.
Why does Noah Kahan have a deep south accent then...
This one is next on my list. I read the first two
I just finished reading this one. I really enjoyed it. I ordered the rest of the series

Trump's accent. I kind of like it .
Wow. I didn't realize he was born in queens. Just looked it up. What led you to check out this vid? I'm always curious.

Hellooo, I love learning languagues and I'm currently trying to improve my english, (mostly my speaking abbilities), that's why I was looking for some accents from the US with the idea of immitate one and master it while speaking. I also watched some of your videos and fortunately I see you're appasionate about this topic. You do a great job sharing with us this kind of information. Hope you can answer my question;).

@@narratormatt Super! Thanks for the follow-up! For a long time I have been struck by THE Voice of Reason's Howdy Doodish cadence... intonation? It's like he's playing a part/role. ? sounded a lot like a serious Peter Griffen, but im not from NH so i wouldnt know if its accurate or not. i liked the noir lyrics at the end, wouldnt mind hearing more song lyrics spoken out like an old crime detective movie narrator lol
Thank you this helped a lot 🙏
Do you still narrate?
Hi, Does this monthly study still exist?
Me about to make a name for myself after this video.
I would never have thought this was a Maine accent. Close, still not there. Marry the Appalachian with the Bostonian and then you'd be onto something.
