YELLOW BRICK ROAD TO THE RIO PARK HOTEL
Love these videos of stockton
We used to have more funicular railways like this in the United States. Now there are only three left.
Great video 😊
Nice to see it back in service but £1.80 one way seams expensive for such a short journey - yet the annual ticket seems amazing good value if you use it often.
Great video 😊 love the beefeaters
Here's hoping that bus/taxi lane isn't camera controlled.
Or was that Durham Rd, not sure now?
Yes, it is
👍👍
Had me completely lost there till you got onto Durham Rd. Gathered, Ragworth, Primrose hill area, Newtown?
Yes Durham road into Stockton
You should have played the Road to Ipa nima. Lol Thank you Andy.
Another great video recording the development, i have a friend in Sheffield that loves to watch your videos on the riverside development because Sheffield is developing its riverside and it very similar to ours. Can i ask a favor Andy when you next go along the high street from the parish church up towards the swallow could you get a close up of the Town Hall roof, you will notice below the clock there is an archway that you can not see from the ground also if you could get a shot of the other side to see if the archway once went through to the other side.........Many thanks!😊
@@daveeboney7089 will do on my next flight
@@burridgeandy8 many thanks andy
Hello Andy. Is that Pedestrian foot bridge to the station permanent, or are they going to provide a more substantial ( Lift wheel chair friendly acess and more?)
@@markchristopher8515 it certainly is not in use till the works finished
@markchristopher8515 they're building a new elevated footbridge over the tracks. It'll run from the far end of the new building and will cross into the old station at roof level. Lifts, escalators, stairs at either side. If you pause at about 1.58 and you can see them just starting to prepare groundwork either side of the tracks where the supporting columns will be constructed. And at @2.31 - the open space in the top floor of the building, (top left of the gable end if you were looking at it square on), that's where the new bridge will connect to the building. think its scheduled to go in for dec/jan
Hello Andy. What's happening here Sir? Kind Regards from Mark.
@@markchristopher8515 new clothing warehouse fast food and petrol station someone said it might be a Lidl
Good News Andy. Local Investment.
@@burridgeandy8Thank you for all you do, good Sir. It's Rare People such as yourself who cares and searches for the good things that are happening around you and not so local. Thank you for all of your Efforts and Your Precious Time in sharing this with us all. Kindest Regards From Mark
This is the closest I'll ever going to experience driving around another country without actually being there. Beautiful ❤
Parliament road 😧
By, you were brave, Hartington Road 😫
the place has certainly changed in 40 years - do I recall one graffiti message; "lots has happened; nothing's changed" 😀
Hartington Road used to be one of the most posh roads in Stockton-on-Tees back in the day from what I have been told but it is now one of the most dangerous roads in England.
There's a lot of wind noise
@@goodluck-950 bit like biker
Actually looks very nice, just abandoned
Some of the old brick houses are astonishing.
its flipping ginormous
Bit harsh
It didn't look half as bad as the sun was shining.

Thank you I enjoyed that walk you took me places were my chair wont go.even though I live here there are loads of places that I can't access.but it bought back memories of walking along those paths in a different time enjoying this town
Do you know why it was abandoned ?
@@theskyatnightrawunderthedome yes old mining works and cliff collapse

Thank you Andy. Wow,! It's really coming along nicely.
Nice! I hope to go there soon.
If you were to fly over Amazon on a weekday at between 2:45 and 3:45, you will see a white 3.5 tonne tailift van parked in bay 575. Thats me.
I used to like in the hostel opposite social services youth services back in 1999 ,so glad to get my own place away from it
What was the huge car park for at the start?
@@camper234 for the visitors there's not much carparking on the site hope that's answered your question
Must have just missed you came in on the Amsterdam flight 4.35
Been going to Raco for last few Christmas and New Years. This year we couldn't get on they are building a Aldi supermarket on part of the site and have lost over 30 pitches so trying another site down the road. Hopefully get back on another year when the building work is finished,
@@MrJasdog107 well thanks for letting me know I was just there in may

Yooo
Great coverage Andy👍👍
hi Andy do you have a email address or face book page i can contact you on as i am after a favor next time you video Stockton. cheers!☺
Great video. I was there a couple of days ago doing some filming for my channel too. I think they’ve done a fantastic job and you’ve captured it well 👌🏻
Hello Andy. Thank you for sharing. Question: are they going to refresh Darlington Station itself? Kind Regards from Mark UK.
@@markchristopher8515 they spending millions on the new carpark so assume they will
A new platform is currently being built on the east side for southbound long distance trains, can be seen at 1:50, so they’ll no longer have to cross the northbound trains to get into the existing station. There’ll also be new lifts and new footbridge integrated with the south end of the carpark.
The Pavilion is such an oddity. Who knew there was a weird little oasis up there?
Went there as a teen early 80s to the flying club got to ride in a Cessna and flew it for a while 40 pounds i think but amazing how far you can fly in a short time ! .
Thank you so much! Born in Stockton, brought up in Norton. Nice to see Norton is still vibrant - what a wonderful High Street. Bought my first bottle of bubbles in Allens in Leven Road - haha! And until very recently I was not aware Norton had 2 duck ponds! I wonder if others can spot the less famous one.
Would have watched but the music is awful sorry
@@stukenbrock27 it's photo legacy crap but I might change it to UA-cam music 🎶
