Beautiful autumn sunset flight in the 1942 Stearman over lake Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. Flying doesn't get any better than this.

My Judo instructor lived there as a child, homestead family then.
Great plane…. And a very good video 👍
with the old Pratts humming, who needs music?
Of course, there’s got to be a Hawaiian hula girl on the dash.
Wow that's an Old Goose.....one of the V early models... with Fixed Floats even.
Where do I sign up!?! 😃
Man, that is a dream airplane. beautiful versitile and simple. Would love to fly it in the real world, at the moment the simulator has to suffice.
Nice
Ein Traum von einem Flugzeug 👍😎soetwas schönes.. Allzeit guten Flug und immer eine gute Landung. Grüße von Frank aus Deutschland / BERLIN..
Дивовижний і гарний літак і ще гарніша природа дякую
As a young lad 8 I will always remember going with my mother from Annett Island to Kathacan for monthly grocery supplies on an old Goose with the bilge water leaping up when we landed. After seventy years this is still my best childhood memoriey. Thanks from an old man's heart.
Did this plane ever catch the golden monkey?
It Lalso had an eight -foot diameter sea plane prop.
In the 1970's I flew the Grumman Goose as a passenger in Antilles AirBoats from San Juan (Puerto Rico) to St. Thomas (US Virgin Islands).
Best video
She's a beauty. I never saw a Goose up close. I got to see I guess her sister the Albatross and got to work on a Catalina.
Gorgeous airplane. It looks and sounds like the result of considerable time, money and serious dedication. The approaches to the lake looked somewhat challenging and nicely executed. Beautiful.
Great video!
Beautiful airplane.
What cameras did you use?
GoPro Hero Sessions
@@love2aviate262 cool, thanks.
This is the most beautiful video about a Stearman. Bravo. Saluti dall'Italia.
Thank you Francesco! Glad you enjoyed it.
Why did you not set your flaps while taking off at the airfield? Just inquisitive.

First time I've seen Addison's Goose fly! Looks like Jay flying.
There are two airplanes I love the most the Grumman goose and the beechcraft king air 350 but I'd choose the goose first mainly because it's so versatile.
Used to see these planes in powell river British Columbia all the time as a child.a huge forestry company had a couple and flew the execs around the coastal opperations
Such an inspiring video!
Honestly, I'd rather hear the aircraft than the music.

That looks like pure freedom. I wish I had that plane.
fabulous looking bird
What a beautiful bird!! Sorry I just had to ask - one goose, two geese; one Grumman Goose, two Grumman Geese?
I have many hours in a Goose, flying for Chalks in Miami Florida back in the late 60's
Beautiful Stearman in her element in clear skies over beautiful country. Only thing that would make this great video any better would be to can the music on the taxi in back to the hangar. The sound of that W670 idling after a masterful flight is music enough. Thank you. Mike Kelly. "Old School" Aviator and Stearman pilot.
From the same location as Greg "Pappy" Boyington
Thanks guys, I really enjoyed this. After having watched many videos this is the first one that I could clearly hear the various sounds that the A5 makes. Well done.
You folks are so blessed! 💕
What an absolute beauty of an aircraft. What I wouldn't give to sit in the cockpit of that magnificent airplane while in flight...
Must be a real treat to ride in that machine.
Along with the D-18 and Electra one of the most beautiful planes ever built imho!
I just got back from getting my MES in Anchorage Alaska in a Goose, tons of fun, great folks at The Goose Hangar with decades of experience.
back when i was a kid i had a model plane of a grumman, i really love these amphibious aircraft.
I flew the G21 Grumman Goose for Chalks International airlines. Back in 1969 1970. Then I flew the Grumman Widgeon for Dept.of Interior, Everglades Nation Park, also I flew a Widgen up on the North Slope of Alaska & retired in 1986.
Chalks Goosed me from Miami to Bimmini in 65. I had just gotten out of the USAF so the pilot put me in the right seat. It was raining and was coming in around the glass :( I was used to rolling fighters into target, all the Goose had was a compass and a clock
Why? Why would u go backwards and put the Hamilton 2 blade props on? The 3 blade hartzells give way better off the water performance , single eng operation and are much quieter...
I love that paint scheme
Great video! I noticed ASOS reported vis 1/2 SM, but the S-ILS 26 minimums are 1 SM. Why are you allowed to continue the approach with below minimum weather? (Asking for my education)
Great question. You can continue down any approach to the DA at which point you decide based on your own 'actual' observation if you have the required visibility to continue to landing.
@@love2aviate262 Gotcha, thanks for the explanation! I think I was confusing Part 121/135 rules with Part 91
@@kipkap787 Yes, Part 91 allows it. Part 91 also allows takeoffs in zero/zero conditions, where 121/135 do not. For anyone crazy enough to do that. And some commercial carriers/operators have there own stricter approach mins that supercede the FARs.
Amazing aircraft. Thanks for sharing. Question. I fly one in the new Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 - I set 27 inches MP and 1900 RPM in the cruise. Is that right?
