I wonder how well it would have started if it were using 1906 gasoline and oils?
This is a special tank , it is filled with a porous solid , which cannot ever be removed and then sold after filling it with acetylene gas. The solid is supposed to stop explosions I think and it doesn’t matter if it is on its side .
How does the acetylene tank work? Is it acetone filled? Is it designed to be used on its side like that?
Yes I was wondering if the car in the video was purchased in Yorkville Illinois from a man named Rodger
What kind of tank is that, a B?
Is this in Nebraska
Yes
@@robheyen I thought so, considering how rare these are and I saw one in springfield ne
Amazing !! At idle, that engine purrs like a content kitty cat. Try finding parts for this car!! Not as easy as the T....... Beautiful piece of history !!!
50 in the things looks damn scary.
Never knew about this model seems rather advanced
I saw this exact car in Louisville Nebraska last week.
Thanks for posting. I am surprised how well your Model K runs, after watching many of your videos. I guess this really helps explain how well Henry Ford built this car, and his over strategy in building cars. I know with the model T, Henry abandoned his high-end cars like the K, but its clear now, after watching your car in action, that he took the best of the high end lines, and just figured out how to incorporated it all into his lower end, and lower priced T.
Not an easy start under any circumstances. Nevertheless it's a testament to your knowledge and skills as well as the original engineering done by Ford that your Model K can start and run well in those frigid conditions.
Wonderful & rare car! I think you and Pioneer Village in Minden have the only 2 Model Ks in Nebraska. Watching you crank start it made MY arm sore!! Great car and thanks for posting!
*nice to see these cars burning gas, instead of collecting dust*
What a fortunate man. The Model K is something I'd take over ANY prewar car. Give me a supercharged Cord, I'd sell it and get a model K.
very cool !
Why are you running this at 15°F? Genius but I'd not get out the house!
They drove them in Winter in 1907... no reason he shouldn't drive one in 2016!
AWESOME!!!
That is a wonderful car! If you have time I would love to see a video on how the controls operate. Thanks!
Sounds really good, keep up the good work! Another one back on the road, where they belong. Congrats!!
Awesome Rob, from Chris Brancaccio
Sorry that messed up but could you do a video on how to start and drive like some people have done for the model T :)
Could you do a how to start and drive video? "like some people have done for the

I remember this K in the Harrah collection when i was there in the late 70's before harrah passed away in 78.
Hey Rob, Danial here from the MTFCA forum. Great video! Love the perfect timing with the train on the overpass. Beautiful car.
GREAT VIDEO!!!!!!
Rob, that is a brilliant summary of the 'Six', very well put together and edited. I think that it will be of great value to the enthusiast and even the casual looker. Well done and thanks. Dane.
Very nice car ! Is this the Model K that was part of the collection at Zimmerman's "Automobile-A-Rama" near Harrisburg, PA in the early to mid-1970's ? They had a blue K touring... Thanks for sharing your car with us !
