It's laser scanned, meaning the track is basically 100% accurate. Every bump in iracing is exactly where that same tiny bump would be in real life, to the thousandth of an inch. It's amazing, really.

Well, that could just be visual, iRacing is one of the best sim, even if I too prefer Assetto Corsa

you are viewing it from a different FOV hence the difference in slip angle, if you notice the steering input is near identical if not completely identical

It's not a shame, Codemasters (now EA Sports) has exclusivity of explore F1. And certainly the contract rescission is very expensive. So, it's not a matter of iRacing don't want to, they are not legally allowed. Same worth to F3 since it's FIA took control a few years ago. About this F Alpine I have no idea.

Codemaster didn't have laser scan track

If you wanted to buy a laser scan track data you need to ask the circuit owner to laser scan it for you

of course. iracing have his own laser scanner veicle. but for istance they bought the nurburgring and le mans laser scan from rfactor guys.

iRacing literally came out in 2006 and has been in constant development ever since. if you had ever driven iRacing, you’d quickly realise that it’s not the graphics we play for, it’s the simulation experience. mandatory no assists, only cockpit cam while driving etc

Boi if you play on iracing that's not for the graphism but for the realistic experience when you drive

@@floydkerr I have all of those as well, and despite rF2 being the best simulation, iRacing is the only one where I have something else to do other than doing laps against AI :)
