    I was up there, and watching this made it fresh to in my memory, less then a year before it happened. I went back to Manhattan a year after it happened… I had never heard if the Twin Towers but my cousin had and after we saw the long line at the Empire State Building he said, let’s go down to the Twin Towers instead, so we did. I have a pic of my two cousins and myself up at the top.

    I can remember reading somewhere many years ago a professor of neuro science saying if a person falls from an extreme height the brain goes into shock, switches off and the person is brain dead before impact. I hope he/she is right and the people who had to jump didn't suffer. RIP and God bless to all.❤

    I never thought they were breathtaking, they were ugly overrated and of that era, gaudy. Also many people, including myself thought they were a death trap after seeing the floor plans. Tragically that proved to be the case for thousands of people on that fateful day and after. I’m glad I don’t come from a place where money and “reputation” speaks louder than safety.

    So much foreshadowing in this video. From the superimposed photos of yourself falling/jumping off the building to that little boy hanging onto a bar at 10:10, using the same body language and means necessary that those innocent people will be having to do in just two months after this video was shot. 😢

    We stayed here in 2019 before they were absorbed by Hyatt and loved it. If you keep your expectations in check, you will have an awesome time. I know travel sites say this is a 4 star luxury resort, but it's more like a massive 3 - 3.5 star refurbished beach resort with a beautiful beach lagoon. The staff was amazing and the food & drinks were decent. The rooms are ok. Dated decor but the bed was comfortable and the AC worked. TIP: Reserve your dinners in advance and try to avoid getting a ground floor rooms. Those will have a musty smell sometimes, but the upper floors were not a problem. Upgrading to Sun Club upper floor rooms. The beach is a beautiful clear and calm lagoon FULL of Sea life. It's a snorkelers paradise! if you ever come to Curacao, do yourself a favor and experience the Landhuis Chobolobo Senior & Co. Curacao distillery tour. It's the original Curacao distillery that started it all! They have self guided or group tours. Take the deluxe group tour. Not only is the history of the liquere very interesting but the tour is fun and includes sampling of various curacao liqueres and a complementary desert cocktail at the end of the tour (it's SO GOOD!).

    9/11/01 was the end of the childhood that a lot of us experienced in the 80's and 90's. It changed drastically over the following two years with the bullshit wars. Add in social media in the mid 2000's and that was the final nail in the coffin. Gen Z and Gen Alpha don't realize how much better life was back then.

    Thank you for posting this. I’ve watch well over 1000 videos of 911, some multiple times over these two decades. I’ve never been able to bring myself to watch a pre-9/11 video of actually what the workers would have seen on that day. This is my first video and, it’s overwhelming. To think of those poor people looking down and seeing the entire world, looking up at them completely helpless, must’ve been just so soul crushing. I didn’t realize how close the towers would’ve looked to each other and how they could’ve seen each other’s faces. That upper part of the north tower was so familiar to me from watching so many videos of the people who were hanging out of them… I mean, you show up to work, you’re bantering with your coworkers, hanging up your coat, getting your coffee, and Wham… you’re having to choose between burning alive and jumping over 1000 feet to your death. My brain can’t even go there. 🤯 😭

    Your video came up on my front screen this evening, so I watched. I spent the whole day yesterday on UA-cam, watching 9/11 things. Thank you so much for putting this out there. I have not seen a video like yours and I really liked getting to see the inside of the Twin Towers and the views that they had. I am glad that people are still remembering the ones who lost their lives that day and their families. I remember that day so well, and many days after. I will never understand people who want to fill their hearts with hatred, anger and evil, rather than just live the best life that they can while they are here. Thank you, again. I will take a look at more you have done another day.

    My family and I were at Twin Towers just a few days before this was taped. We were in town from Santa Monica, California to attend a family members wedding. God bless those that perished. We met a older gentleman, New York police officer, we had a good conversation about New York and Los Angeles in front of the sphere at Twin Towers, I will always remember and wonder if he served the attacks.

    • @FuzzyPyrate
      @FuzzyPyrate 13 днів тому

      It's still all inclusive, but nowhere near the opulence of Sandals. This is a very old resort that has been converted to a budget all-inclusive, and was recently absorbed by Hyatt a couple of years ago. Outside of a few cosmetic changes to public areas (like the buffet), they really havent touched much else. As a result, the rooms may feel dated for some people. We didn't mind because the color scheme and style of the room is very "old school caribbean" and we love that vibe. We were in a Jr Suite. The room was a cnice size, the bed was comfortable, the AC worked and the bathroom was really spacious and nice with a relatively new looking shower and dual sinks. All you can eat and drink all day every day. The All inclusive deals are pretty straight forward and basic. No extra frills like butler service or preferred reservations of beach umbrellas/day beds etc. As long as you keep that in mind, you will have a nice time. The All inclusive is 2 tiers. What I like to call the "standard" tier (not the official name lol) covers all non motorized water activities (basically kayaks & snorkelling), and all meals/drinks and alcohol (house brand) you want. The Sun Club tier is the same thing but you can get some of their "brand" alcohol. Mind you this is not like the US, so don't expect super pricey fancy brands. More like mid range stuff and some widely known caribbean/latin american brands. Sun Club is supposed to get you access to "members only" areas, but other than a small section of the beach reserved for Sun Club, it's not anything to brag home about. we honestly never used it. I was in the water all day lol. You get a few perks like a private pool area, and an additional breakfast option at Da Marios if you dont want the buffet. Also, ALL the restaurants are open air. Here too, please do not expect Sandals quality top chef meal presentation. Is the food good? Yes. Is it a mind blowing culinary experience? No. The main reason we sprung for the Sun Club was to get the Jr. Suite on the upper floors. 3rd floor = Less likely to get a room with that trademark Caribbean musty smell a lot of older hotels have. They have a kids club and a kids activity area as well (rock wall, trampoline and some play areas). The beach is more of a lagoon because they have a man made rock wall to keep the waves at bay....However it is GORGEOUS, especially since you get to see the sunset every evening from the beach There is an inlet by the dive shop on site which alows the current to flow in and doubles as a dock for their boat. The dive shop is not included in yoru stay so anything booked through them is extra. The only down side is that even thoughthe beach is sandy, some parts of the beach as you get in the water are a bit rocky so be careful. The lagood iself is a snorkelers paradise. There is an entire ecosystem nin the lagood as you get deeper in. Schools of brightly colored fish that come almost to shore, cuttleshish, starfish and sea urchins along the rocks. I spent most of my time snorkelling and recording on my camera.

    Many years before, in the late '80s I came with my father to New York as a tourist, just a kid back then. Dad suggested we go up to the Windows of the World. I refused, loyal to my native Sears Tower, like I would somehow be betraying it by going up and looking at the view in a skyscraper in any other city. (Yet the Statue of Liberty was fine, go figure.) I regret not going up there to this day and I will regret it for the rest of my life.
