It depends on your credit rating and if your credit rating is good, you might be able to get a card under 100% APR. 2, 10% growth investments is absolutely possible and if we are talking about retirement, the S&P 500 has averaged in around 10% for past 100 years. A defeatist attitude will get you nowhere my friend.

"If" doesn't apply to most people. What applies to most people, who are in debt, is a lack of financial acumen, and far too easy access to credit of any kind. People should understand long term goals, compound interest, and not to believe that they can be millionaires in a few short steps, because someone on UA-cam said they did. And, my friend, I have no loans, no mortgage, a decent car, my own home, and I will be extremely comfortable when I retire in less than a decade.

I suppose Steve it depends on the mindset and your goals are and maybe your age too. I think my point is that you can borrow more against assets like your own home and use this capital in other assets such as a rental property, stocks, gold or whatever takes your fancy. As long as your rate of interest on your investment is more than the interest you are paying back on the loan, you are in a winning position. Also, if you buy real estate and use leverage, then you will amplify your returns even further. Thanks for the comment 👍
