n 1994, the UK passed the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act, which aimed to reduce and restrict rights, clamp down on unlicensed raves, and increase penalties for certain "anti-social" behaviors. The act gave police the power to shut down raves with "repetitive beats" if they deemed it appropriate, including open-air raves with 100 or more people or where preparations were being made. The act also allowed police to stop vehicles within five miles of a rave. The act was the latest in a series of government attempts to end illegal raves, following the 1990 Entertainment (Increased Penalties) Act, which allowed fines of up to £20,000 for hosting illegal raves. The 1990 act didn't have much effect, as the illegal rave scene continued to thrive in 1991 and 1992. The 1992 Castlemorton Common rave in Worcestershire, the largest illegal rave ever held in the UK, may have been a factor in the passing of the 1994 act. Some say the act marked the end of the traveling rave scene, as people moved away from living on free sites and onto farms, and became more fearful. "Fuck E'm & Their Law" - The Prodigy.

I loved this festival.

Noisily just wasn't quite the same in the new venue. For me, anyway.The old venue, Coney Woods, had a great charm and character. Still, i did really like that Psychedelic art gallery. Fantastic. Also that installation with the rings of lights around the base of the trees was incredible. Right at the end on the Sunday night , i stumbled across a small stage and the last tune was a kind of slow, wonky and woozy version or remix of Groove Is In The Heart by Dee Lite. Not sure if the DJ was just playing the tune slow and/or mixing it up or if it was a cover version but anyway it was just mad brilliant. Anyone know what the track or remix or version was? It was either The Nook stage or Parliament Of Funk stage, last tune on the Sunday night

they had to change the name from secret garden party as there was so much drugs and crime mainly from the homosexual LBGT crowd a big area was given over to them we would never go again festivals should be for normal people

secret garden party started really well but they made some bad mistakes the main one was allowing a homosexual zone these LBGT folk caused a lot of problems, some were on drugs and were grabbing males passing by and forcibly kissing them there werea few fights and a lot of bad feeling Same as the Green man festival in wales last year at the festivals end there was a lot of trouble i dont get these " gay zones " we dont have one for normal people, so why one for them ?

I am SO excited for this year. Do you know if it’s easy enough to come on and off site? Wanting to go out for a shower 1 or 2 mornings 🤔
