I asked on a big emu forum if you can place eggs vertically in a normal incubator. Everyone told me that this was not possible. I tried it anyway with 6 eggs. Unfortunately this year the fertilization was very bad. there was no difference in hatching percentage with vertical and horizontal. For me the test was successful!

Emu Farm - Just a normal day at the farm

Day 54 in the incubator. The chick should hatch 24 hours after the first hole in the egg. The skin and membranes can dry out so I help them a little with breaking the shell. They have to do the hatching themselves. for some people this is a slow and boring movie. however, I think it's wonderful to see new life. What do you think??
