Hello, first of all I'm in love with ur portfolio. I'm in class 10th right now and I wish to apply for ivy league art universities. But I'm not sure how the process works precisely for art...I mean what are the admission requirements apart from SAT's , GPA and an excellent portfolio?...do they require any other achievements?? Extracurriculars? Competitions? Kindly clarify. Thank you:)

One thing I’ll tell anyone who’s applying is RISD is especially keen on the perfection of your artwork. They do NOT want a person with absolute clean perfect pieces; they want to see experimentation and your passion for art. This doesn’t mean they don’t want to see skill, technique, and conceptual skill but showing your love for the subject is the most important so don’t stress out too much if you think your pieces could be better.

Hey just coming to this now but my school just started an AS Art class this year, and there are many things we’re unsure about being so new. With the portfolio is it best to send your original art work or take photo copies of the work and then build your portfolio?

you really motivated me today, thank youu T.T only recently i started doing art and stuff, but im getting better at it so im really happy. i was thinking just to apply to national level uni (NID India) but i've been looking at art portfolios in youtube. seeing some portfolios really inspired me i could do it, and some really de motivated me thinking im not "good enough", especially those from RISD. its not like im not aiming for bigger colleges, but im kinda afraid to try, but not until i watched ur video today :) i really liked how u addressed on how youtube exaggerates on these stuff. we ought to get swayed by other people's success and demean ourselves that we can't do it. i thank you for speaking up on this and now i really wanna apply to top US colleges too!

The syllabus says Component 3 includes a 1000-1500 word essay. Does all your writing sum up to 1500 words? Btw, I love your artwork!
