Monkey Island Stan Theme Evolve
Stan's theme across all Monkey Island games. It is strange to hear his theme from the first game. It makes sense that they would change it for his used coffin job and keep that new theme for his insurance agency because those two go hand in hand, but they could have brought back his fist theme for MI4 or 5 because those have nothing to do with the coffins anymore.

Monkey Island Voodoo Lady Theme Evolve

Voodoo Ladies theme across all Monkey Island games, or at least the best cases I could find for each game. The one I dislike the most is MI2 Special Edition, I don't know if I recorded it wrong or if it is just worse than the original. Monkey Island LeChuck Theme Evolve (No Voices)

LeChuck's theme across all Monkey Island games, or at least the best cases I could find for each game. I'm surprised I couldn't find anything better for MI6. I wish I could record the theme in MI4 without the talking, but even when setting talk volume to 0 it still seems to play during the cutscenes. This version of the video does not have that cutscene. MI2 and MI3 are the best versions in my opinion. Too bad they butchered it in MI2 SE.
I would have gone with LeChuck's Lament for MI2, has less of other people's lietmotifs in it.
well, let's add the sea of thieves version now
The Stan music in Secret here wasn't in the floppy versions; it was added for the CD enhanced version that was released after Revenge (and then kept in the SE). So the real "first" Stan theme is actually the coffin sales one from MI2, based on "Go Tell Aunt Rhodie (the Old Gray Goose is Dead)". That was carried into the other games. It makes sense in MI3 but as you point out, it seems a little odd in the others. But in fact, the one heard in the CD/Special Edition is the odd one out. That said, I personally prefer it to the "normal" one. But it's a minority opinion, alas.
Oh interesting, I didn't know that the Revenge one came first. The whole floppy/CD stuff and having a bunch of diffrent sound cards is before my time so I know very little about it, but it is fun to learn tid bits like this here and there.
Wait, so the MI1:SE theme was an original composition for that release?
@@pearsareawful9006 Not for the SE (2009) -- for the CD version from 1992. Stan's shipyard is silent in the EGA and VGA floppy versions (1990) but they added this kind of "smarmy" sounding music in that scene for the CD version. Then that same music appears again in the SE. P.S. is your username just a personal opinion or is it a Doctor Who reference?
@@arcanetrivia Capaldi said it best, they're words to live by.
Love it, thank you. I would love to see a band playing this genre of spooky reggae
For sure! Although to play all version of it they would need quite the array of instruments.
