Hello everyone,
Thanks for taking a look at my channel. I'm new to this motovlog world and recently retired from the Aerospace industry in August 2021. I currently reside in Florida and have for the last 43 years.
Like many of you I have dreamed of traveling long distances and seeing America on two wheels. I'm currently riding a 2019 BMW K1600GT. I'm not entirely sure at what I'm going to do but I'm going to give it my best shot and just have fun with it. I should state I'm neither a journalist nor a professional videographer.
I'm just an ordinary motorcyclist much like you probably are, who enjoys the freedom of riding and tinkering with my bike. I will always be open to your suggestions, tips etc. All that I ask is that we keep things positive as there is certainly far too much negativity in the world.
It is my hope to share my experiences and my stories of traveling on the open road and what I learn as I make my way across this great country of ours.
Take Care,
Greg

Ribeauville Schaffhausen
Day 5, BOE tour
Today, three countries are on the agenda, we ride from France back to Germany and on to Switzerland. Our main focus is on the country in the middle, specifically the Black Forest, because this is where we spend most of our time and have the most (riding) fun! After crossing the Maginot Line and the Rhine, we reach the Kaiserstuhl, an ancient volcano whose slopes offer the perfect terroir for Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, and Pinot Blanc. Shortly afterward, in Waldkirch, we leave the Rhine plain and ride steeply up to the
Kandel, a mountain that seems much higher than it really is at 1,241 m. The view from above is intoxicating! Our next destination is the almost 200-year-old Hexenlochmühle, the only mill in the Black Forest with two water wheels. Nowadays it also has a café; don't miss the heavenly Black Forest cherry cake! After lunch and many winding roads in the Black Forest, we finally reach Switzerland in the afternoon. Directly on the outskirts of Schaffhausen is the Rhine Falls, which may not be the highest, but it is the biggest in terms of discharge and therefore officially the largest waterfall in Europe. We will of course visit it before riding to the hotel. The city of Schaffhausen itself is also very worth seeing and invites you to stroll around, especially watch fans will be tempted to spend some money here...

Santis - die Geschichte Gondola, Austria

Short video on the last few miles of road before we reached the Santis gondola. This is not recommended for anyone who is fearful of heights. They can pack up to 80 people at a time into the gondola. It also can stop during the ascent or descent which can be a bit unnerving especial after several minutes, which did happen to us on the way up.

Day 7 of our 8 day riding tour, Switzerland to Austria. This is just a small sample of the roads in Europe. There were 4 of us wearing intercoms but my GopPro is not wired to hear them, just me for commentary.

The Cat Ferry, Bar Harbor Maine to Yarmouth Nova Scotia. June 22, 2023. Glass smooth sea's for 3.5 hour crossing. The boat has food and beverages for purchase as well as comfortable seating with plenty of leg room. My first attempt with my new GoPro 11 and helmet microphone. Still more work to do.

How to replace an Air filter on a 2019 BMW K1600GT. This video is intended for those individuals with basic mechanical skill. I should also state this is my first DIY video for the K1600. I have since acquired better camera and tripods etc since making this. I do my best to explain all the minor details to remove all of the plastic.

I was just recently down this way myself. It's a beautiful spot. Your video shows the scenic ride well 😊 I really liked all the wild flowers.
Thx for helping
Thanks..!! u really help me to remove everything to have access to the "oil breather" that was leaking..
Thanks big time for sharing, great job!
Very good video, thanks!
Thanks for the informations. Your bike looks so clean under the panels.
Damn, BMW couldn't make that any more labor intensive. LOL. Thanks for the video.
uhhhh..... ever seen a GL1800 air filter? it's WAY worse than this
Why don't you wear gloves for protection
I most often do. Our group pulled out prior to me being completely ready. I didn’t get a chance to get them out of my pocket. Poor excuse I know didn’t want to hold up the group.
I’m a fan of all bikes! This is a cake walk compared to my 2018 Goldwing DCT
I’ve helped a friend with a Goldwing. I definitely agree that It is major surgery to access the air filter. I imagine a Honda dealer would get close to 2 hour or more in labor to change it.
Great video here mukka
Nice
whats the bike is? nice vid tho)
BMW 1250RT
Looks like a pain in the ass.
They do it so that you will take it to the dealer to get it fixed so that they will make more money they make it hard for a reason it’s all about the almighty dollar!!!👍💯🇺🇸😎
Good job very helpful. Thanks for making the video. Great job also.!👍💯🇺🇸😎
Very informative. I will try this week👍😎
Great video thank you very much!!
What kind of twisted thinking does BMW train their engineers to operate by? I have a 2014 K1600 which I recently purchased, as well as a 2011 335is vehicle. BMW engineers and Mercedes engineers apparently consider it perfectly fine to require the disassembly of at least five major subsystems to get to items that are basic maintenance. What is WRONG with those crackjobs??? My bike has only 8000 miles, so presumably I have some time before I have to subject myself to this rigamarole, but I don't look forward to it. I am already deep in months of work to get basic maintenance type of items completed on the 335is.
Thank you so much for the clear and detailed steps, much appreciated!
Спасибо! Хорошая работа!
Hey Shaftdrive, how were you able to mount your RAM phone mount onto the BMW logo in the center of your handlebars? Thanks.
Nice group! Wife and I have two apts in Orange Beach
Nice moto… yeah I’m looking for this kind 2019 GT with real moto gauges, the new GT are way expansive and has screen 📺 instead, but this is the same same bike like 2023 ❤
Well done, thanks, that is a very easy to follow video 👍
Great video...! What's the cost for this type of service?
All this for an air filter??!
First time I took the Tupperware off my GTL, I was trying to take a bunch of pics, lined up all the various screws in the holes with the disassembled sections, etc. you have made a great reference!
Very good instructions. The hard part to the job is finding all the fasteners which you explain in detail. Thank you for sharing the information.
