Boeing B-17G "Preston's Pride" at Mefford Airfield, Tulare, California. The aircraft is an outdoor museum piece that needs serious work in order to be air worthy again, but is a nice addition to the airfield. It is sitting right by California Route 99.

That is actually a G2B. Its had the G3 wing modification. This was a favorite of G2 owner's because it gave new life at 40% of a new airplane. Cost Gulfstream a lot of sales and was discontinued because of it
6/27/24 was the first day I ever heard of Gay Tow Submarines. Well, the ocean does have a reputation for drawing a good number of gay people.
Thank you for your help.
I found that the calibration worked better after cleaning the screen. Is it possible that the screen registers some dirt on it as a touch? It seems so.
You are my superior officer and also my friend, I have been and ever shall be yours...I have used this quote a couple of times in real life, in the Marines...I am still fiercely loyal to some of my former commanders...
Truer inspiring words were never spoken . The needs of the many out way the needs of the few ( or the one) . But as a supior officer , you are also my friend . And that’s how I approach you .
@2:07 Man that is one BIG pencil. 3 feet by my Mark 1, uncalibrated eyes!
I saw the movie 32 times when released in 1982.
Way over thought. You need to approach this with a simple design. You're getting in your own way. A good antenna theory book will take you along way. Shunts and chocked are not the answer. A single eight wound one inch copper shunt will be the answer. Get rid of all the rest. Keep it simple. The antenna can do the rest of the work.
Theres no hushkit on those engines
Each according to his “gifts”. That means life is unfair because there’s no such thing as talent. There are only gifts which aren’t distributed equally. God “grants” ability. It’s not yours. So now the government will grant ability, and this time it will be distributed equally. White people have stolen all the gifts.
I am a Vulcan, I have no ego to bruise 🥰
Will never be the same again. This friendship made everything else happen.
"You are my commanding officer. You are also my friend. I have been...and always shall be yours." Sums up the whole relationship right there.
I like how they were talking about Decker being relieved in TMP, without actually naming him.
👍🏿
This is Real Trek. Not the crap we've been getting for the last several years.
This is why The Undiscovered Country is my favorite StarTrek movie.
"The needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few." Something Mylan employees (and ANY of the company's enablers) should have understood before they accepted work at the most criminal and unethical drug companies among many in the U.S. -- the ONLY advanced country that refuses to regulate drug prices so tens of thousands do not die as a result of lack of access to affordable medications.
I'm in a very restrictive HOA and I'm looking at all options. I have a privacy fence to keep neighbors from prying. How visible is this antenna as are you still using it?
Logic does not dictate that the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few. It just happens that whoever wrote this screenplay was a utilitarian, which is just one example of how to use logic in a fragmented, incomplete way to arrive at a false conclusion.
But, in fact, it was the needs of the one that won out. That's why they all risked everything to save Spock in the next film.
You’re right. What if “the many” are a bunch of crazed lunatics, and the “the few” or “the one,” are the people trying to stop said crazed lunatics??? In such case, definitely supporting the needs of “The Few” or “The One,” is the way to go.
Spock, himself, came to that realization, when he was willing to jeopardize the mission to bring whales to the 23rd century, in order to save Chekhov. He admitted, while not logical, it was the human thing to do, emphasizing, at the moment, that there was considerable merit in doing the human thing. Also, it was Kirk who said to Spock at the end of ST III, his reason for saving Spock was because the needs of the one outweighed the needs of the many. Kirk and his crew had just risked their lives and careers to save Spock.
Note that about the whales Spock perpetuates the logic/reality dichotomy which is baked into our culture but does not reflect the fullness of what logic is. Logic is reasoning by method, it's thinking by observing rules which keep your thoughts in contact with reality. It's a much broader (and indeed more practical and interesting) subject than the classical focus on deduction and fallacies.
What company made and issues this kit? What scale is it, please?
Magnific work my friend 🤩👍💎💎💎💎💎💎💎💎👍
Did they really chill in shorts all the time?
LOL, I watched you intently as you professionally went through that unit and then to install those lights that everyone knows are the most unreliable and hated bulbs in history was regrettable.
Judging from the shorts only uniform it must have been hot.
I'm pretty sure that every time Nicholas Meyer rewatches this he must be wondering how on earth did he directed this Masterpiece.
Why did you cut a 8 foot ground in half now your not grounded true ground is at 8 feet deep and Lmr400 is 100 to 1 better,
Excellent landing
Fantastic place to visit! Lots to see and lots of hands on stuff too! Not to mention the USS NAUTILUS is there to go through! Hope to go back again some day!
That plane should be in a hanger. The wing has been knocked Off twice.
HOA friendly- yes. Wife friendly- not.
Memory escapes me at the moment. There was a Capt. In Ww2 whom commanded in a fashion similar to the model. Great workmanship. Thanks for sharing.
Whilst modern subs are masterpieces of engineering, they're ugly as sin. The old diesel boats had beautiful lines.
in mine i did the fans but all so replaced the fan inside.. then wired them up to an 9v reg they dont need to be pushing full speed. and used 12v LED strip.. but i need to find out why my amp gauge is not working.. the meter moves if i put 1.5v on it but wont work in the PSU
my friend terrific job thanks 73 from kb2uew
Thank You Sir.
Reminds me of an old joke probably inspired by "hot bunking" to save space where two men alternate using the same bunk - one sleeping while the other is on watch. The Captain calls the crew together and says, "I've got good news and bad news. The good news is that you all get to change your shorts today. The bad news is, Wilson you change with Smith...Jones you change with Carlson ... ... ...".
Damn, 21 years in the armed forces and I never got stationed at an all guy unit where everyone just wore briefs. 😋😂
The "con" refers to the conning tower. It's the "bridge" that is below it in the main part of the ship.
Con refers to the "Conning Tower", the room just below it in the main pressure hull is the Control Room referred to as "Control". The Bridge is the open air surface conning station in the "Fairwater" That would be were the OD, JOD and the Lookouts would be when the boat is on the surface. The Conning Tower or "Con" is the boats "attack center" and is the location of all the torpedo fire control, sonar, radar, periscopes and the ships primary steering or helm station, the Control Room or "Control" just below is the location of the diving controls, secondary helm , high pressure air and hydraulic controls and navigation etc.
Where is this model please and what scale is it-?

He did make a few mistakes in his presentation, mainly and calling the control room the con and calling me conning Tower and attack Center, though there modern terms at a given the nuke boats
I'm having trouble with the touchscreen. Everytime I try to touch the screen to select a command it doesn't work. Can you help me?
Dumbass
That's a big model.
Not sure what kind of boot this is. A lot of shirtless men 🤪
frank groot, It gets hot inside a submarine. American subs have air conditioning. Some crewman go shirtless and shorts. Some don’t.
My granpa served on board USS Redfin (SS 272), a Gato-class submarine, during WW2 🇵🇭
That’s kinda wild, I got the Revell Gato kit and was looking for a boat to base it on and picked the Redfin. The Manitowoc boats were strong and powerful.
