    Thkx for the detailed video; I had the same issue for a few weeks; the error code reported a faulty FCM (Fan Control Module) which meant replacing the entire unit with both fans and was upwards for $1400.00….I keep driving for a few more weeks and then spent 1/2 day t/shooting the issue; when I got to the connectors (u have to remove the undermount protection), i took a carefful look at the cables and found a single cable that was almost broken….i fixed that and issue got resolved. Maybe lucky me but I wonder how many people have had a similar issue. I would suggest before u do anything, check the connectors and make sure u don’t have a broken cable. All the best.

    Yours is a chipper with the chipping blades on a drum which feeds the brush material through one pass and then out. It leaves a lot of the material only shredded and not finely reduced. I would be very dissatisfied as well with what materials you ended up with. What you want is a hammer mill type shredder chipper. It has its chipping blade on a heavy flywheel where you feed the bigger limbs, say 2 1/2 to 3” through the side chute. The smaller brush goes into the hopper at the top and then the hammer mill flails shred it up. There is a curved metal piece with 1” or 3/4” holes that keeps all the material back, including also the material that the chipper section chipped up. All this keeps going around getting shredded finer until it is small enough to fall through the holes. I used a shredder chipper that was built like the description and it was a MacKissic Mighty Mac 12PT. With it I cleared up all the brush and limbs from about 80 trees, mostly white oak and some firs. It was a lot of work but I was impressed with how small the pieces were that it all reduced down to.

    The back old pads look great. I’d have just kept the old ones on and replace them later down the road. Unless you slam on the breaks. They should last a few years more. My 16 Camry Hybrid has small pads upfront and larger in the rear. So rears can last a long time. I have had my car for over 3 years and haven’t replaced any pads yet. Probably going to do another inspection this spring and do a replacement. 70k in mileage and still going strong. 💪

  • @chii2054
    @chii2054 8 місяців тому

    Just to mention, the not-charging is a safety feature. Li-ion batteries that are (self-)discharged beyond a certain threshold destroy their internal structure. If you do something like this, your battery may start burning. It may also start burning some time later, e.g. if you leave it in the charger overnight. Please be aware that tampering with Li-ion batteries may get your house burning (and yourself injured or killed).

    Thank you for this video. I was just thinking about replacing the shift knob in my A6 C6 (4F5). After all, there are many suppliers. It was always unclear how labor intensive and complicated the replacement would be. Either just the knob without leather and frame. Then I would have to rebuild that, which is quite a fiddling. Or these China knobs with leather and frame. Where the leather and its processing unfortunately does not make such a particularly high-quality impression. But good, now I know at least that the installation is relatively uncomplicated feasible. Thanks again!

    Thanks for sharing your experience with this chipper. The rusting and bubbling going on there is shocking for a 3 year old chipper. These chipper shredders are expensive. Consumers expect quality and something that will stand the test of time for that kind of money. Its unfortunate that it only comes with a 2-year warranty.

    Jensen and Jansen are two different brands. They are not the same! In the video it looks like a Jansen?

  • @MC-pg2ko
    @MC-pg2ko 10 місяців тому

    I like the Jansen because of the gravity feed. What I don't like is the heavy price-tag and that I am buying equipment with very little information about it, except what people have posted on UA-cam, unlike another model I am looking at: DELEKS (Italian made?) where everything is explained. From how the machine is put together, how it works, how to maintain it etc., plus it has a 3-year warranty. Transparency at its best.The only thing I haven't figured out yet, is if its gravity fed/self feeding. Looking into this before I commit. It might not matter a jot if I know how to troubleshoot and carry out the maintenance myself and safe myself some money. I'm not sure I will be able to do that with the Jansen. I don't even know where the belts are!

    • @unlimiteduploads2971
      @unlimiteduploads2971 7 місяців тому

      price tag for all these are excellent compared to a little bigger one that takes the same branches, like frost and others start at 15 to 35k usd, and the branches they chop are pretty much the same as what these chippers take. so getting this for 1/10 the price and doing the same branches, just that it might take a bit longer, (even though, these will be faster with no feeder as u drop it in and it goes through much faster and u go for next branch) so if ur quick these will actually be faster, as long its not like 10cm branches all the time, like 5-8cm and u can just drop it in rather often.
