@@natsukashiilove2470 The freshman dorms are in the same building as Fordham's graduate law school, so floors 1-10 are reserved for law students.

Hey! Thanks for watching! This is a converted triple. I didn't think it was too cramped, but it does take some getting used to if you have never lived with a roommate before. That being said, I wouldn't worry too much about being in a converted triple because I got accustomed to it relatively quickly and had a great time!

John Willis Hey! Thanks for watching! In terms of eating, there are a lot of restaurants near the studios and dorms, and three different grocery stores nearby as well. I recommend picking up groceries on the weekend so you don’t have to worry about food during the week. Also, Ailey did email me my roommates ahead of time and gave me their contact info so we could communicate. I hope you enjoy the intensive!

Hey there! Thanks for watching! I never went to the junior division intensive, however the audition was pretty much the same as the professional division. It included a ballet class and a modern class. If you have any other questions, I could try to answer them!

Hey! Thanks for watching! The classes are all an hour and twenty minutes long. I had an alternating schedule where I would start at 9:00 on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and have 10:00 on Tuesday and Thursday. Every dancer has something like this. I always ended early in the afternoon since my classes started early and my suitemates and I had so much free time to explore the city! I definitely recommend this intensive if you are just looking to see more of NYC, because the schedule allows for it!

Hey Dana! Thanks for watching! I think that the best way to meet potential roommates is to connect with people through Facebook (they will usually make a facebook group for your class closer to the start of the semester). I just went random though and I love my roommates! The important thing to do if you decide to go random is to just get to know your roommates as much as possible before coming. And don't be nervous! I think you'll find that most people at LC have similar interests so it shouldn't be hard to make connections!

Hi there! Thanks for watching! While I did not personally known anyone who did an internship, Ailey offers year-round internships to college and high school students. The application information is on their website, and I'm sure you'd be able to accommodate it to fit the summer schedule.

Ana Luíza Motta thanks for watching! I did put a double as my first preference, but because there were so many incoming freshmen this year, I knew there was a possibility that I could be in a triple. Overall, it hasn’t been as bad as I expected! The fact that we get our own bathroom is a great perk and I love my roommates! So I wouldn’t change a thing!

Aww thank you so much for watching! It is hard to say goodbye (my mom was pretty sad as well), but on the bright side, you'll have plenty of excuses to visit New York if she decides to go! Maybe she can even start making videos so you can keep in touch! :D

how is the diversity?

@@jcn1324 The audition process is very selective and a bit stressful, but the experience is definitely worth it! They take grades into consideration so you have to be accepted by Fordham first before they can consider you for Ailey. As for tuition, a lot of factors play into it. It depends on what housing you choose, your meal plan, your program etc. It is a bit more on the expensive side, but Fordham offers a lot of on-campus job opportunities to supplement tuition costs. @@icecoldmelanin2747 Fordham is actually a lot more diverse than I was expecting. There are a ton of international students, and students from all over the country. New York is also basically its own little world, with all sorts of races/cultures to explore. This was one of the main things I took into account when I applied. Ailey is especially diverse, which as a dancer from the Midwest was very refreshing to see. Thank you for watching!

can you double major with dance and something else?

Definitely! Ailey has a junior summer intensive as well as a professional one and both allow you to stay in the dorms at Fordham :D

Hey there! While Fordham is a Jesuit school, they do not place a ton of emphasis on religion and are generally very accepting of everyone! I'm not very religious either and I haven't encountered any problems. Thanks for watching! Hope this helps!
