Hi David thanks for the response Not done any mainline trips this year but some of my friends who did did not enjoy it as much as when the mark one stock was in service owing to the fact the windows were sealed and it was too warm in the coaches? Hope you enjoyed the trip however Brian

@@thirdengineer Thanks Brian, we had a great trip (in a mk1 coach). We did a Dalesman a few weeks back in the Riveria mk 2s, it wasn't a hot day and the aircon was working fine. David

@@tonyjones99 remember it well I was on the Shaftesbury on a Liverpool River Plate run when we got the news. I knew a few of the crew on the Royston Grange having done relief work on board in London a couple of times for around 2 to 3 weeks whilst the regular crew went home but no one ever wanted to leave the ship as it was a good run and steady number with a round trip of around 3 months with a short visit ti Rotterdam en route.
