Just beautiful!
Looks like a great day ! Thanks for posting.
It was a great day. Thanks for watching!
Very pretty setting. Lovey fall day in the park
The autumn leaves seemed to be at peak color.
Very nice! Thank you.
Glad you made it!
Nice work guys
@@edwardkendall3905 Thank you 😊
Great group !
The Moss sockets don't fit
Well done Matt. Thanks
Than you, Sherman.
Nice tour
Thanks, Bill!
Nice video. I particularly liked the graphic of the route map at the beginning and the multiple car and camera angles on the drive. Well done.
Thank you. It's a nice animation app that I've used before. Gives a nice visual of the route.
Beautiful!
@@fredjohnson8304 Thanks!
Almost makes me miss my 1968 Spitfire! The TR-6 was my dream car for many years! Beautiful corral of great cars.
Glad this brought back some memories. Hopefully fond one ;-)
There doesn’t appear to be any TR3’s in this group.
Surprisingly, there were none that day and that is quite unusual.
Looks like a real nice crowd!
We missed you! Hope to see you at the next one. Daily drivers are quite acceptable ;-)
Beautiful, and wonderful music.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed the video.
Nice Tour!
It was a very enjoyable excursion
Not one TR3 in the group. Guess they aren’t as popular as the more refined (and weather resistant) models in this group.
Very unusual for one of our get-togethers. TR3's are tied with Spitfires as the second most popular model in the club after the TR6.
@@thecapitaltriumphregisterclub good to hear. I’d love to attend one of your events, but I live in the other Washington, so it would be more of a trip than I’m up for in my ‘56 small mouth TR3.
@@joeljeffcoat6241That would be an epic journey!
Looks like MOSS MOTORS will be getting a order lol
Kudos to the person responsible for doing the recording/editing/posting of videos for this club.
Thank you
@@thecapitaltriumphregisterclub I’ve long had a soft spot for British sports cars. My very first car was a 1972 Spitfire that I bought in 1979. Mine was in Sienna Brown with a tan interior. My ex-wife’s late uncle was also a Triumph fan. He restored on his own a TR6 (in French Blue over black) as well as an Austin Healey 3000. Both cars were absolutely gorgeous. Living in New Hampshire, he had plenty of great roads to drive them on. Later on in his life he sold the big Healey, but he kept the TR6 (which he preferred driving). He and his wife participated in British car meets throughout New England. They won a few trophies and made many good friends in the process.
@@VirtualGuth The Spitfire was the car I fell in love with back in Jr. High School. My daily driver for 20 years was an MX5 Miata but finally purchased a '76 Spitfire 1500 and joined the club.
@@thecapitaltriumphregisterclub After all these years I still find the Spitfire to be an incredibly beautiful design and consider it to be one of Michelotti’s best. Thanks again for making the effort to record and post so many of your club’s events. I hope that you enjoy your Spitfire for many years to come!
Sorry to have missed this, looked like fun. I am envious of the garage/workshop.
The garage was fantastic. We dubbed it our new club house :-) See you at the next one.
Where can I get a download of the check list?
Let me get a copy and I can email it to you.
Ich liebe Spitfire seit über 40 Jahren ❤
Long time tr6 owner the car sounds great you can’t do everything all at once as long as the car starts and stops enjoy it those guys are a little anal if your nervous just change the hoses if their rotten trust me if your not attempting long drives enjoy the car they need to be driven don’t be scared.😊
Enjoyed the work in the TR6. But, as a Spridget owner I really like that white Sprite! Would like to hear more about that car.
Glad you enjoyed the video and yes, the Sprite would be a great subject for a future video.
Excellent video featuring details I missed while visiting on that beautiful day. Gorgeous machinery, lovely people.
Thank you, glad the video added to your already enjoyable experience. See you in 2025!
In 1971 my wife drove to the hospital in my 1956 MGA with a 3 main B motor. She alerted me so I drove my Mini Truck with an Austin America motor and hot cam and twin SUs as fast as I could. Up a winding road to the hospital, Half way there is a large turn out. In the turn out was my MGA driver's door open ball peen hammer on the ground at the right rear. The hospital is 2 more miles up the hill. I nailed the throttle and gat to the hospital to be greeted by 2 nurses urging me to hurry. 45 minutes later my dear daughter Emily was born. How did she get there. Why the hammer. She cot there because my brother was on his way to work and saw her on the ground banging the fuel pump with the hammer, yes I still have the hammer. The fuel pump quit so he picked her up in his Triumph TR4 and dropped her off. She is long gone, the Mini Truck is long gone , my daughter is 52 and we are friends and neighbors.
Thanks I found them, good to see the 250's by themselves and not with the 4's
There is a nice trick to put the pins back for the door handle and window winder. Cut a straight length from a wire coat hanger and cut halfway trough to make a new pin. Then insert the wire and wiggle back and forth to break the pin in place off. Voilà, no fiddling with long nose pliers or surgical clamps.
Great idea!
Hats off to That old man with the baby blue triumph tr3
Still driving at 87!
Looks like the boys enjoyed tucking into the grub
Half show up just for the donuts or lunch ;-)
NO TR 4,s?
Sadly, there were only two. Go to 24:30 in the video to see them.
@@thecapitaltriumphregisterclubI have to say I was disappointed at the dearth of f TR3’s. If I wasn’t on the west coast, I’d be inclined to drive my ‘56 small mouth to the event. Otherwise, I seemed to be a wonderful event.
Just excellent! You really captured a great show on a beautiful day. Thanks, Matt!
Thank you! Glad you liked it.
Love this video, thanks! I did not have a chance to get around and see them all, so this helps.
Thank you. Glad the video worked as intended.
Great show. Lots of variety. Great video.
Thanks for watching!
No Spitfire wants to come out of hibernation in Feburary !
But that's when "Drive Your Triumph Day" happens!
Thanks for showing donuts at the key integral point, instead of the "before and after" lever action (when anyone is contemplating their own rear suspensions problems.
Have to start with donuts
How was the car show? and get that rag joint fixed ASAP
Britain on the Green was a great success.
Always thought the TR6 was one of the best looking cars for it;s time.....but never the best running,
James May (Top Gear) called it, "The Blokiest Bloke's Car Ever Built!" ua-cam.com/video/4FageCtKA0g/v-deo.htmlsi=xawMF--7mTbn4okF
Where does that hose go that is attached to the valve cover vent? The early cars had a flame trap attached to that vent and the discharge of the trap was manifolds to each carburetor and the carbon canister.
Good question and don't know. It looks like it was passing through a hole cut into the wheel well. Might be vented to atmosphere considering he does not have any emissions control or charcoal canisters on the car anymore.
Good stuff. Thanks for posting.
Thanks for watching.
Don't leave us hanging. Where is pt II?
Great video - thank you London!!
Thank you. London Auto was very gracious and the sessions are always well attended.
Thanks for posting a well made video. Better than taking notes!
A video tutorial is always better than notes ;-)
Yeah Dave is good. New brake switch installed. But notes owner needs to replace bump stops. Have rear shocks rebuilt . Good job.
Surprised the donor car driver didn't know his brake lights were out, yikes!
had not realised anyone was using these ...thought everyone was doing the shock upgrade kit. interesting....looks like u had good fun and its a great hobby when it gets people to all meet together and have a good old chat. thanks you.
I think there are lots of TR6's still running on these shocks.
Great video. I think my favorite is the sky blue mgb w/chrome How in the world did you combine different drivers' camera recordings into one, on you tube?
Thank you. Used four cameras on three cars. The sky blue car with the very loud horn is a 1964 Spitfire Mk1. That car is featured in one of our "Get Your Hands Dirty" videos where we swap its engine with another Spitfire.
Excellent, one day I will join you. Looks like a lot of fun. Thanks for sharing.
Hello Brendan. It's great fun and we would enjoy the company. Hope to see you at the clubs Spring Drive on May 4 and Britain on the Green this weekend. Say hello, I'll be with a red "76 Spitfire.
Looks like a Great Day
Always a great day when you are driving a Triumph ;-)
@@thecapitaltriumphregisterclub For sure
All British? I think if you look into the Triumph founders, history and designers, you'll barely see a British name. I think it's mostly a case of possession being 9/10ths of the law
love the pageant blue on spitfires. as you can probably tell.
It's a great color!
Little steps at a time gets to the end of the road. Good luck hopefully you got all your parts by now and finishing it up
Thanks Frank. The spacers and plug have been ordered. Hopefully we can make a Part 2 documenting the completion.
