How to get into the diamond business, Part 10 - Basic Tools and Equipment for diamond grading
The report is already wrong in the combustion temperature of carbon, it's BS. The oven is max. 1800 F as you stated while carbon combustion is 3600 F, totally different than the report. Easy to look it up. Report is plain wrong, case closed.
I like inclusions like real daimonds have a Hpht lab one d grade clear that shines out the back because of that unlike others daimonds
The report is not legitimate, 1-4 % of carbon is left after cremation, that makes approx 4 grams for a bigger man. This amount leads to a half or one carat diamond.
Link to the report leads to error 404
Thanks. They must have removed it. I will see if we can find it and repost.
Here is another video to back up these claims: ua-cam.com/video/CiFtdbVDCSU/v-deo.html

How much you need to start the diamon business
Enough to buy your first diamond. That's how I started. Then flip and repeat. Started with a $500 diamond and grew to 100,000 diamonds. Took a long time and several mistakes along the way.
I paid $1800 for my engagement ring and it’s appraised at $8,500, did I do good? 😅
Not knowing all the details, it sounds good.
Im looking to buy a 2.5 caret pear shaped diamond lab grown 3 stone setting in platnum or white gold what do you have?
If we do not have it in stock, we can easily make/create that piece in a short period of time.
Yeah the carbon from the ashes are used as a catalyst to grow the stone, not to make up the entirety of the diamond. No I will not buy your stones.
We do not sell cremation diamonds. I was using pricing examples to show how inflated cremation diamonds are based on what natural diamonds cost. Keep in mind. These are lab created diamonds that do not have any part of of a deceased persons carbon in the actual diamond. If you read the actual report, you will see no carbon can survive.
Those are some trouble saving facts.
Are you purchase diamond
Yes, we purchase diamonds.
Please share your thoughts for natural diamonds vs lab grown for 2025
I plan on uploading soon..
Where are you guys located at and do you have a store front? I've been holding onto an engagement ring my ex-husband gave me for our 20th anniversary. It's 5k, SL1, color grade H and has an appraisal certificate of $10,576.90 in 2008
Hello Cindy, We are located in Rochester NY but 95% of our clients are located put of state. We offer insured shipping for our US clients. Here is our process; mjgabel.com/our-process/
What if i get the diamond certified by gia after is cut and polish etc.. Will it be worth anything
Sure. Depends on what it grades as.
Diamonds of this clarity/color should be set in Rose or Yellow Gold to hide imperfections
What sizes does it come in
Thank you for making this video. I have not seen another video explanation this informative regarding the two different methods used to create lab diamonds. The more accurate information consumers have, the more confidence they will have when purchasing lab diamonds. I recently purchased a CVD with an IGI certificate and I’m a GIA diamonds graduate 1997. I purchase vivid pink VS2 princess cut 1.5 k. for $1,250.
Are there any reputable, online courses you can recommend? I’m based in Australia
would you be able to confirm GDGL grading of diamonds. i can't seem to confirm this on youtube.
Can you please email the certification? info@mjgabel.com
Do you know of any good lab grown diamonds wholesalers?
Yes - There are TONS out there. But yes. We work with several.
@ any names you want to share? I’m looking to buy some from a wholesaler.
@@sizzlemann4281 I cannot share publicly. I can privately. Feel free to email your request at: info@mjgabel.com
Hpht is mimic more growth like a natural diamond..cvd is like fast food hpht is like slow cooked to perfection..why else would they use hpht to correct cvd flaws ..at the end of the day its all about the lab report...
Good day, I have a 1.25 carrot ring that was appraised at 4250 Canadian. I would love to dicuss selling it to you guys
Feel free to email or call us for a consult. info@mjgabel.com / 585-598-1090
I have cz, mossinite, mine diamond, and a lab grown cvd diamond and love them all. I think mossinite has more warmth and the price is very affordable. If you are wanting a diamond and have a $$$ budget then go for mined diamonds. If you want perfection of the 4 C's then lab grown is right for you. I bought my mossinite ring online, now with the lab grown cvd diamond bought loose stone and took to my jeweler to set it for me. I found loose cvd diamonds are cheaper to buy then purchasing in a ring already made, plus I designed it myself so it's 1 of a kind!
How much is that ring !!!!!!!!! My anniversary is coming up.
I am sorry, this piece has sold.
Just get to the point
Interesting video, thank you! Personally, I see lab grown diamonds as the new CZ. I prefer antique old mine cut diamonds (which seem to be holding their value, you tell me?) in vintage jewelry, and recycled diamonds if I’m going to buy from new jewelry designers. I like the imperfections in natural diamonds that make each one unique. The ethical/environmental marketing for lab grown diamonds is not convincing to me. But I work with people in their 20s/30s (I’m 40) and the marketing works for them. The price for size as well. And I find they don’t want to take the time to do their research and “take a risk” with traditional jewelers that may rip them off so they go the easy route with perfect lab stones and retail stores that started out as “taking out the middleman”. And as for alternative engagement rings, I’m not hearing anyone talk about how other gemstones are also mined and their consequences. This is what I’m seeing and hearing from around me.
hi
I have an EGL 1c diamond from 10 years ago that I was considering getting certified by GIA because there's one close to us, and I wouldn’t have to ship it. I was told it would help with my insurance because it's more respected and less contested than my EGL. In other words, I could get an inferior diamond if I just kept my EGL cert. Is this true? I spent a lot of time looking at diamonds and comparing them even to GIA, and I felt confident in my purchase choice, but im not sure if I was right.
Hello - we are happy to discuss via phone, probably easier than corresponding here. There is a lot to unpack here and want to make sure I understand the situation. Feel free to reach out to Matt directly at: 585-598-1090 x210.
Nice
I want to sell a diamond tennis I just won from a jewelery store in America (traxnyc), it's 14k gold, 22 inch, I think 11 carat in small diamonds all around, I think they're lab-grown, but I didn't get a certificate with the package. But the jewelery store is well known and not a scam. How would I go about selling it ?
Well you can try FB marketplace if you are selling it yourself. There are also some FB jewelry groups you can try. If you do not want to sell on your own, we can certainly sell for you with our global reach.
What about the cut ?
What do you think of Swarovski lab grown diamonds?
They are NOT diamonds. Swarovski is synthetic non diamond.
As long as you guarantee that it is NOT a blood/slavery diamond, or a conflict diamond.. I want an ethical diamond.
I go for the opposite keeps people in work
CVD is the best..
Same a lab daimonds
I love to learn more from you matt wow you've been through alot and gain huge experience I have been studying diamonds, sapphire, ruby and emeralds along with the crystal formations of each and have some rough also loose gemstones myself that I would like to obtain profit from and I just can't find a buyers thank you for coming online an making this video I'm intrigued to learn more an one day become a gemologist one day I just haven't got the money right now to do so but your information your giving has got me so excited to learn and study more Thank again!
Hi,am from Papua New Guinea i have rough diamonds my stones have clear opening on them and I can see through them they have glass inside the stone others have diamond glass on them thanks for your video on UA-cam.
Wondering what my 1.03 vs1 G diamond is worth? It’s the normal round cut and sparkly and around 50 yrs old
Hello, Can you email us the specifics of the diamond / ring? Is it certified? Happy to give you an estimate, just send an email please: info@mjgabel.com
Way to contact you please?
585-598-1090 / info@mjgabel.com
both hpht and cvd diamonds are lab grown meaning it didnt come from under the earth. why some sellers making their cvd diamonds selling for thousands? of course natural earth mined diamonds can be expensive but its billion years old under earth and mined by humans. lab grown must not be expensive because it can be replecated by humans with lab grown equipment. The reality of diamonds are gone.Worthless cvd and hpht diamonds. It seems like the having a diamond is not an excitement anymore. i think mining is expensive and earth damaging process but reality is lab diamonds must not be expensive anymore because of its abundance and can be replicated in labs.

@@willglazier9792 - Yes, it's actually called the Lulo Rose. It's the largest rough pink diamond ever from Angola. It believe it had sold for $16 million. www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-62316058
Definitely prefer CVD
Hi good day I would like to ask a question, so I've a 1ct diamond in an 18k yellow gold ring and the ring weighs 20.2 grams So would that ring because of the cost of the gold material be expensive? So I've shown one expert emerald cutter and he thinks that it might worth a lot but I don't know cause I'm not an expert but I do want to sell
Can you email us the specifics on the piece and we can give you an idea of market value: info@mjgabel.com - Please be sure to include your contact information.
Are these diamonds pawnable? Imagine going to a pawn shop and telling the owner "I would like to pawn my uncle Joe who's in this diamond. How much can I get for him because I'm going to Las Vegas. I hope he brings me some luck throwing the dice or the slot machines?" 🤣😂🎲🎰 "Don't worry he was an a-hole when he was alive" 😂
So from reading the comments it sounds like I can start saving my hair clippings after a haircut and have a diamond for myself before I go.
Yeah, and be buried with yourself already on your own finger or around your neck. You are an instant twin!
Csn you put all this series in a playlist ?
We will try and figure that out. It may be above my pay grade.
You should charge for this
Thanks - Hopefully you gained something from the video.
OF COURSE THEY'RE A SCAM. Do you think they would LET people have access to cemeteries ? Thank you for helping these people. Here's a shocker; Jacqueline Kennedy and the entire family led a crusade against funeral industry. They felt it was a scam against middle to low classes. That's why JFK one horse simple carriage and relatively modest coffin. THAT'S WHY! LOOK IT UP. KINDA USELESSLY INTERESTING. PEACE ✌️
This is the process used to create diamonds from human remains. Yes, there is a process Step 1: Carbon Extraction The process begins with the collection of cremated ashes or hair. Typically, 100 grams of ashes or 2 grams of hair are required368. The ashes or hair are then processed to extract the carbon. This involves heating and chemical treatments to remove non-carbon elements245. Step 2: Carbon Purification The extracted carbon is purified to remove any impurities. This step is crucial because any impurities can affect the quality and clarity of the resulting diamond. The carbon is heated to very high temperatures to burn off impurities and achieve a purity level of 99.99% or higher245. Step 3: Conversion to Graphite The purified carbon is then converted into graphite, which is the form of carbon used for diamond growth. This involves subjecting the carbon to high temperatures and pressures over a period of weeks5. Step 4: Diamond Growth Using HPHT or CVD HPHT Method: The graphite is placed in an HPHT machine, which simulates the extreme conditions found deep within the Earth's crust. The machine subjects the graphite to temperatures of up to 2000°C and pressures of up to 60,000 atmospheres. A diamond seed is placed at the bottom of the press, and the molten catalyst metal dissolves the carbon source, transporting it to the diamond seed where it crystallizes into a diamond136. CVD Method: Alternatively, some companies use CVD machines, which involve placing a diamond seed in a chamber filled with a carbon-containing gas. The gas is heated until it breaks down, allowing the carbon atoms to adhere to the diamond seed and grow the diamond26. Step 5: Diamond Cutting and Polishing Once the diamond has been created, it is cut and polished to bring out its desired shape and brilliance. This process is similar to that used for mined diamonds and involves cutting around any inclusions or imperfections to achieve the best clarity and carat size134. Step 6: Coloring (Optional) If desired, the diamond can be colored through processes such as irradiation or HPHT treatment. This can result in various colors like blue, yellow, red, pink, green, or black26. Step 7: Quality Control and Certification After cutting and polishing, the diamond undergoes strict quality controls and grading processes. An Authenticity Certificate is issued, detailing every aspect of the customized gem. If requested, the diamond is then set into jewelry14. This process ensures that the resulting diamond, though created in a laboratory, has the same physical and chemical properties as a naturally occurring diamond. However, it is important to note that there is significant controversy and skepticism regarding whether these companies actually use carbon from the cremated ashes, given the high temperatures of cremation that typically burn off most of the carbon78.
