2 month and a few hundred mile update...I’d still buy another.
Ztto lightweight 11-50t 11 speed cassette shifting

Turn the volume up and you can hear the shifts. Very crisp and clean shifting.

Bnew chain po ba ginamit nila nung nilagay nyu po cassette?
nice setup. Is that a shimano XT M-8000 GS (med cage) or SGS (long cage)?
@GOLDIX hi its 2022 now, how is the cassette holding on, still no broken tooth on the aluminum side?
how is the long term wear on this cassette, and had any problems with broken teeth ?
what chain did you use?
Thanks for the video! What chain are you using?
link?
Maximum send! Good job.
Do you still use the cogs?
Would you recommend the cassette?
Very nice Video, great race 👍
Hi, is it worth buying it? I see there are a few bad reviews.
I think it is. It just depends if the weight of the cassette is worth it to you to give up in some other areas. If you’re a larger person or someone who crushes the pedals and shifts with disregard to the result on the drivetrain, then there’s probably better options. If lightweight, range, and hg hubs are your jam...it’s pretty hard to beat.
@@mxiv4245 Thanks for reply I just order one 11s (11-50T) the black with silver from from Aliexpress
Is that a gs rear derailleur?
Is that a gs rear derailleur??
Yes
@@mxiv4245 the mid cage one right?
Yes. Both bikes with the 11-50 Ztto cassette have the gs. I have the Ztto 9-46 11sp xd with the sgs long cage on my bike currently.
@@mxiv4245 Thanks!
Awesome
Working on a bike stand doesn not mean it works well when riding, and riding hard. From personal exp with M8000 on a 11-50 zitto cassette. Depends on what perfermance you expect
How many chain links is needed for this setup? Also, some guys said that this cassette is not durable coz of aluminums sprockets, so what is your experience with this setup and cassette? Thank you.
114 I believe.
If I jump to a big gear do I have to upgrade on rear derailleur and shifters in order to make the bigger jumps? Or can I stick with a 9 speed derailleur like my stock Alivio
9speed derailleur needs 9speed cassette regardless of a larger gear. you may need a goatlink for it if you can get a 9speed with 50T. 9speed RD to a 11speed cassette wont work. youll need to replace your RD and shifter
How is the casette holding up? Does it have any issues? Specially the back pedaling that they're talking about?
Is it micro spline? Ztto?
Hows it holding up?
Lotto Draw Result Today it’s been great. I have the same setup on my daughters xc bike and we’re going into her second season on it without issue. I’d guess near a thousand miles of use but she’s so light it doesn’t really count lol
By the way do you any issues shifting on the 9t?
Now I'm really considering giving the 11-46 a shot to go with my NX 11 speed. The original 11-42 I bought with it a year and a half ago works and shifts great, but it could use just a touch more range, and the 46 is a lot cheaper than the 50.
hi, is this cassette on standard HG hub? what derailleur and chain are you using with it? thanks
So the whole thing is aluminum not just the last 3 cogs? Does it last long, I'm sure not as long as steel. I got a really heavy sunrace on mine looking to get a partial aluminum one. Mine is 11-46. I put on a 28tooth chainring on so now I want to get a 10-44 or 42. I'm not sure if I can go to 9-42.?? I need to understand more about freehubs. I want a magnetic one instead of springs. With more paws, mine has 3 and I need more.
Would it work with a slx??
progamer owen it should. The RD-M7000-GS (SLX) has a slightly larger capacity than the 8000 (XT) version, so my guess is it would be fine.
What hubs are you using, i love the way it sounds...
PEDALISM Jr Gonzales Sram Roam 60 wheelset. I have no idea if the hubs are available by themselves, but the wheels have been superb.
Sounds like my Industry 9 hubs, which give the S.O.B. sound (swarm of bees). Loud.
Great review of this cassett.....I'm looking for one online and can only find them on ebay. Where did you purchase from? Thanks
Hi! What is chainring on this bike? How many links does chain have?
What size derailleur did you use? Medium (GS) or long cage (SGS)?
Nathan Murray gs
@@mxiv4245 would the gs work with the 52t
Elie Haers don’t know for sure but I would guess that it would.
Thanks a lot for your vids on the ZTTO cassette! Have you any experience with the similar 11-52t one? I’m on the edge of buying this or the 11-52t cassette. Have been using the SunRace 11-50t heavy one and it’s getting problems after 1‘800km. (I‘m 110kg and ride in all conditions)
Adrian Schwizgebel I don’t. I have heard that it’s more likely to need the extended link for the rd with the 52t.
Recomendarias comprar cassette de las marcas sunshine, bolany y zzto?
Hi buddy! This is the SLR or SLR2? And do you know if the Sram GX 11 works with this casssete without the goatlink? Thaannks!!!
Fábio Azevedo Melo This is the SLR. I have absolutely no experience with Sram rd’s on this cassette. My guess is that it would work without the goat link based on how well the gs Shimano rd works without it, but can’t say for sure. If you run that setup, comment back so others can know👍
@@mxiv4245 Thanks a lot bro! I bought a SLR2 about 20 days ago and it don't arrive yet... So I didn't found any video that show this configuration, but I will try without the goatlink... Thanks for the videos and reply! Maybe I post a video with my setup, and tell you if runs smooth...
@@fabioazevedo9896 make the video for slr2 bro, i want to buy if is good
How's the durability of the cogs?
open beta good so far. I made another quick video update to show where it’s at so far. Check that one out. 👍
@@mxiv4245 did you put a goatlink on your rd?
open beta no. Both the gs and sgs work fine without it
HI, I am looking for 9 speed 11-42t cassette for my bike and i did not find any made by shimano, sunrace, sram. They made 11-40t but I wanna 11-42T. I found ZTTO, sunshine and Bolany 9S 11-42T. So, can you tell me about quality of ZTTO cassette? Thank you
The construction of the cassettes you're referring to are different from the ultralight versions in 11 and 12 speed, as shown in the video. I couldn't comment on the quality of those cassettes, but can say that the quality of this model is... well, pretty good. It's not remarkable to look at but the machining is good and the coating is even.
@@mxiv4245 ok Thank you man
I am in the same situation
@@cachismith I bought ZTTO and it workz fine without issue.
@@mxiv4245 ive been using a 9 speed 40tooth ztto cassette for over 2 yrs now on commuting bike.they are fine.of course with any big cassette need make sure rear mech adjusted well and make sure the gap using b screw is minimal on big ring to provide clean shifting.by the way ive noticed using a 10 speed ztto chain seems to work better than 9 speed chain.i am using a sunrace indexed thumb shifter which i enjoy alot.
Thanks for sharing the installation process, my friend.
How have they been holding up? Any issues? Great review!
This cassette has been really great. I mentioned it on the ZTTO 11 speed thread in the forums on MTBR, and I'll say it again here...this cassette paired up with the XT RD-M8000-GS, XT SL-M8000, and ZTTO Ti 11 speed chain is the best shifting bike we own. The shifting is more crisp and precise than the E*13 TRS+ on my bike. It almost makes me mad how nice it shifts...and that it isn't on my bike. Not a single dropped chain, backpedal issue, creak, nothing. As far as durability goes, I'm hesitant to comment. My daughters bike gets ridden way more than my wife's (since she's usually chasing after the little one) and even then, since she's young and light, it's not like the cassette is taking a beating. It does look great still, but I just don't know how it would hold up to a 225 pounder like myself beating on it. We had the first XC race of the season at Vail Lake, California last weekend and it was raining and muddy (SoCal muddy TBH), but still had great shifting and easy cleanup of the cassette and ZTTO Ti chain.
MXIV424 I bought one. Waiting for it show up. I thought I would check back. Any issues come up? I am surprised these are not getting more reviews and press.
Yeah, I’m surprised too. But it’s really a niche item; you have to want a wide range, 11 speed, with a HG driver, and care about weight. If that’s you, it’ll be great. We raced Bonelli last weekend and it was perfect.
I see that you paired it with the XT medium cage rear mech. So you think an SLX GS mech would work just as well?
Nathan Murray slx doesn’t spec quite as large of a range as the xt does but I would guess it would work.
Your deraulier is RD-M8000 GS?
That one is a RD-m8000-SGS (long cage) and works perfect. The other bike I have this cassette on has a RD-m8000-GS (medium cage) and it works perfect as well. I already had the SGS on that bike, but if I were buying a new RD to use with this cassette I would go GS.
