If he really named his account after a kid who committed suicide though, that’s definitely a weird, emotionless thing for someone to do. Far from the strangest behavior I’ve seen on the internet, but still shitty nonetheless. 🤷

To make a long story short, I've just been very busy with work. To go into more detail: Every so often, I'll sink a couple hours into a new video project, but I haven't really landed on one that I feel "inspired" to see all the way through. If you wanna recommend a new scene for me to make an edit of, though, you're always welcome to. I won't guarantee that it'll be made, but the food for thought is nonetheless appreciated. Agreed. It’s hard to emotionally connect to a scene when the music is so jarringly unfit. I far prefer the old feel Dragon Ball used to have; very grounded and sincere.

Isn’t that what he said? Piccolo told him his soul would be sent to “a very different place than the one where Goku’s soul will end up”. I think the implication here is pretty clear. I feel like if he’d just said “nah bro your ass is headed straight for hell lmao” that’d be too blunt. Wouldn’t really fit the mood.

@@grapespace no he said his memory would be wiped and his soul purified. There ain't nothing purified about any of the people in hell. We see it throughout the series where people in hell are causing trouble and remember everything about their lives.

@MDagrosa That’s what happens to people in Dragon Ball’s hell, though. You can see this process in Fusion Reborn. Souls that are sent to hell are run through the soul purification machine and cleansed of all their evil energy; their memories erased in the process. In some anime filler, you can see prior villains (such as the Ginyu Force, Freeza, and Cell) in hell with their bodies and minds intact. That’s true. In the manga, however, none of that happens. Piccolo’s dialogue here is accurate to both the manga AND Fusion Reborn’s depictions of Dragon Ball’s hell.

True, but even if he chose to travel back to the past sometime AFTER Goku had arrived on Earth, a second timeline still would have been created. Trunks killing Freeza is a decidedly minor change in comparison to the reason Trunks went to the past in the first place: To give Goku the heart virus medicine.

Yeah, that sounds about right. The non-canon aspect of the movies has always been interesting to me, cause you get to fill in the narrative blanks yourself, much like you did here.
