Black Elk's "Prayer for all Life"

Black Elk’s “Prayer for All Life” Disclaimer: The audio sound byte I pulled from the net some years ago. I don’t know its source. The words are attributed to Black Elk, a fragment of “Prayer for All Life.” The final three lines beginning with “There is no death…” are attributed to Chief Si’ahl of the Duwamish Tribe. The video I pieced together with photos from the net. I claim no rights to the ...

Winwood is a legend. His pieces frequently belong in a classical music amphitheatre. Not easy to get into the fast paced mainstream. I'm not taking anything away from the other genuis musicians making this. Winwood attracts the best of the best.
THANK you!
Excellent montage for a wonderful song.
I bought this album when it came out because of shrieve, winwood, anf demeola! Great album then i bought Go 2 another great album
Steve Winwood has such a smooth voice and is perfect for Yamashta's music.
i bought this when i came out , first time i listened to it i was blown away , did't know what hit me . what a great album would listen to this every night before i went to bed wit headphones on ..
Jammie ......
kalifornia made me anxious
Thanks stumo yamashta for these magic music
I wasn't 100% into the alt/female singer thing back in the 90s (I'm more of a hard rock / grunge /. metal guy), but this track completely blew me away. Still does. I played it tons of times when I got the CD because of "Bed Of Roses" This track was the mesmeriser. Etherical. The mellotron flutes at the end just add to the atmosphere. The song itself is brilliant. Why it didn't get tons of airplay is a mystery, but then there was a tons of music going on in 1993 and only so much room on FM radio at the time I guess. At least we have it on the 'Tube. Peace out to everyone.
If I believe that destiny Could change the hands of fate I'd believe forever Was a lonely to wait But i can see inside your eyes Mirror's soul cannot tell lies And i believe like i believe Miracles and destiny You make your own reality And i know when i... Look up to the sky There's angels in the clouds At night you can see their eyes See the stars Lookin down How i feel at the thought of you Leaves me with Nothin to hide Cause when im layin Next to you Naked my pride I can wait a lonely time I would wait and wouldnt mind Cause i believe Like i believe Miracles and destiny You make your own reality Cause i know when i I look up to the sky There's angels In the clouds At night you can see their eyes See the stars, lookin down Oh whoa... If i believed Destiny Could change the hands of fate Id believe forever Was a lonely place to wait I can see inside your eyes Mirror's soul cannot tell lies I believe like I believe Miracles and destiny you make your own reality I look up to the sky There's angels in the clouds At night you can see their eyes See the stars Lookin down... Ohohhhhhh Lookin down Lookin down down
The ending is even more Angelic

I haven’t heard this song in a long time , it’s so beautiful and I never knew there was an amazing guitar solo in it, never heard it before , anyway it.gives the song a nice twist
I was 19. Working at a Record Co. in Morton Grove Illinois. I don't know how or why I got this record but I used to go home after work in the dead of Winter and play this with candles burning. All I had was my stereo, a beanbag on my shag carpet and my LP's. Not much else. When my woman wasn't there I didn't mind....just me and the tunes, the shadows and the candles. Sigh. Sounds pretty good to me now.
İnteresting.
The beginning of this sounded like "Rhinoceros" by Smashing Pumpkins.
most beautiful song ever written. i cray whenever i hear it. please write something for us Indians❤❤❤❤
I am so gratified that you chose to Post the first four continuous cuts on this LP: These are the cuts that made me keep the LP for all these years. Al Dimeola does all the guitar solo-work from cut 5 on, but the stellar work you're hearing here, in cut 4, is by someone I've never heard of anywhere else, Pat Thrall. Stomu Yamashta's Music is atmospheric, and moody, right where I live, Michael Shrieve's drumming is great of course, and Steve Winwood? He's Steve Winwood.
Pat Thrall played guitar for Automatic Man, and played lots of other places.
@@todminnigerode306 Also a stint with Pat Travers!
still have cassette tape. Unbelievable
Beautiful song, brings back memories
Una pace infinita
I'm so blessed to have been a part of this generation of music. No other genre of music has moved me since. I go back, starting 30 years ago, and I wanna stay there. I'm in my mid 50s now. All I got are my memories. I don't expect music to evolve from the present horrible rut.
The most beautiful song ever made
Absolutely
This ain’t lucky lager!
I listened in '94 on radio gmr fm Bandung
I wish someone would do a cover of this or the guitar cause damn.

I remember renting Kalifornia back when it was on VHS. Before the movie was the music video for this song. I listened to it and rewound it to listen to it again and again. I must have done that a hundred or so times before I remembered that there was still the movie to watch. Good movie but EPIC song.
It was also at the end during credits
I cry every single time.
Me too
All I can say is WOW! Never heard band, brought here by a huge prog rock playlist. Going to look more into this band and DL some albums.
