I doubt if the author of that comment traveled to Damascus. First, women made that video. They interviewed teenagers in a public place as they gathered for a birthday party. Young Arabic women will be more vocal with other women, even foreign women. Consider this: Public place. Party. Laughing teenagers. Random happy teenagers speaking college-level English. I suggest the author go to a restaurant at random and find a group of American teenagers speaking college-level Arabic.
