This could have been a much better series than it was... but Ewan and Hayden did great.

The tragic part is, anakin made a deal to save everything he holds dear. In that he lost it all. Devil will give but not before he takes it all from you first.

I love how this scene was shot. The camera cannot stay still for one second. Showing how unstable and vulnerable these two characters are, in the moment. Then the glow of the lightsabers on each face. Showing that there is no hope left for Obi Wan to save Anakin.

alot of people get so caught up in the political respresentations, and how they can tie the series into religion, that they forget what the epilogues and original trilogy are ACTUALLY about. its about being the little guy. the nobody. from a small town with no name in the middle of no where. and yet despite that wanting to be better, and wanting better for any and everyone around you. wanting to be the good guy, and to make the world a better place. the story of a young and bright mind like anakin slowly being hit repeatedly by the worst in life and then warped and manipulated at his lowest. its the epitome of tragedy.

Realistically the Kenobi series could’ve just been a movie with the last few episodes being the majority of it and everyone would’ve rated it much higher.

Kathleen Kennedy took a giant dump on this entire story and made Bob Iger suck her deek for losing them billions. She is definitely a strong and independent wah-man.

Well im crying at anakins tragic life again…everything he ever did only led to more pain anakin ruined his life so he became darth vader …because he refuses to forgive anakin…the movies didnt portray that well in the movie it seems hes just power hungry…yes but also in reality he wanted to destroy everything anakin did cause even if his intentions were good they all fell apart and created more pain

Oh what wonders a musical score, and good editing can accomplish. The show was such a disappointment, and yet it spawns masterworks.

In the lore, anakin was an experiment of palpatine's master. His force power was legendary because of his twisted biology. They mistook him as a light side hero. Nothing they could have done would have saved him. It was trusting him that was the issue.

Great stuff

The music, the lighting, the subtle changes in the voice to indicate the differences between Anakin and Vader, the sheer emotion on Obi Wan's face... it's perfection.

This was the ending to Episode III that should have been. It's taken the world 20 years to appreciate the complexity and depth of cinema's #1 tragic hero of all time.

I am anakin when I was young I was bright full of light I wanted to help everybody I wanted to save the world but this world beat me down has taken away family friends my happiness and even taken one of my partners due to suicide and I feel like it was my fault I was corrupted poisoned by people and drugs and ill never be the same one day i may redeem myself but when I do i fear it will be too late.. I am what remains.

Vader was the perfect hero and villain all in one sad story but a great one to always remember

The kenobi show was not great but when vader/anakin came on screen it was fire Vader had a lot of hate to obi wan to sheev but mostly himself

With moments like this, I do wish we had actually gotten a more focused Obi-wan series. Or the film as originally intended. All these beautiful moments were lost between a sea of mediocracy and Disney's attempt to set up new characters that will inevitably go no where. Obi-wan deserved better than playing second fiddle in his own series.

It's incredible how Anakin speech pattern matches of Darth Vader.

It’s subtle but so powerful when Obi-Wan first sees Anakin’s face through the gash in the helmet. I believe the shock and revulsion Obi initially displays is his own guilt and shame he feels as a result of his choice to walk away and leave Anakin crippled and burning at the end of their clash on Mustafar. Obi sees the pain and torment he left his friend to endure for years all because he couldn’t bring himself to truly kill Anakin. Not then and not now during this encounter. But it’s only a brief moment. His face then softens and his eyes fill with an almost fondness. He’s seeing his brother again. Even in this moment, he sees his brother under the heavy scars and the seething hatred. After everything, Obi still has hope he can reach his brother. Anakin knows Obi better than anyone and sees this hope in his eyes. That’s why Anakin says what he says. It isn’t to relieve the burden of his oldest and greatest friend. It’s to truly take that last remaining hope from Obi. To show his heart is now Sith, he crushes the last bit of hope in Obi-Wan’s heart. At that moment, Obi-Wan understands that he cannot have his brother back and his bond truly dies at the end of those words. Obi-Wan won the duel but he lost his hope. That is until many years later when A New Hope gave him something to fight for. Tragic and beautiful.

As kids we hated the villain's, but as we grew up now as adults, we understand the villain's.

That scene from Obi Wan made the whole series worth the watch

Cool little fact: I was at a Disneyland Halloween event with my wife and I dressed up as Ahsoka and Anakin. We were near Cars Land with no one around, I was staring down at my phone when I feel a pat on my shoulder and hear “Hey man I love your costume.” I look up and Hayden was standing right there complimenting my Anakin outfit. He was with his daughter for her birthday but he still took the little bit of time to compliment our outfits and snag a quick picture with us. Super awesome guy.

But we all know that Anakin wasn't completely gone. Vader may have thought Anakin was dead, but Luke knew he wasn't. "You were right about me. Tell your sister...you were right..."

I can relate to anakin / darth vader i to have suffer been abused and lost everything as well. I have suffered and been abused for so long that my heart is filled with hate , anger , rage and has turn to darkness. I feel no empathy for anyone after what they did to me i will never forgive them for their wrong doings ever. All i need is my darkness and rage i nothing else
