I love the whole process and the time & effort you've put into this. The shirts came out great, and honestly i can agree with having your own clothes fit your body. Growing up poor and having to do a lot of these things as a necessity made me realise that there's self care in buying a new fucking pair of socks.

Yes! I also love fixing things like bag straps. It annoys me when someone says "but it's just a cheap bag?" So what! It's my bag, I love it, and cotton takes a lot of land/water/fertiliser/human labour to make, so why shouldn't we treasure it and take care of it?

Today the drive belt on my vacume snapped but i litterally sowed it back together 😂 needle and thread are very useful tbh

I’m on board with everything but the socks. Does the mending feel weird and lumpy to you? It would bother me but if it works for you I say don’t stop!

I feel like you're a seamstress. But go off.

Fixing things is where it’s at. Most recently, my son’s straps on his oculus controllers broke. I replaced the broken parts with some scrap leather and a new rivet and now good as new without having to toss the old skins and spend $40 on new ones.

Probably saves way more money this way ♥️

I can't get over how cool that bag looks, and I don't even use bags haha
