LAMMA 2012: The Great Wall Steed's First Impressions
Mine don't have those features
Sorry, but they are better and better, and today they put a lot of effort into quality. is not like use to be.. if you want to buy a dacia duster, toyota hilux, which is the brand, or this one with a mitsubitsi engine, I'd rather buy this one
I didn't know great wall Existed.
I am interested in a Great Wall Wingle 7 2024 pan covering
With monotonous drum brakes caution asbestos.
cheap shit !!!
I agree but the big problem... There's No Service Centre here in the Philippines that"s a Big Problem!
I like Great Wall too! But NO service centre here in the Phil.
Toyota landcruiser,poorly made motor?......
This is 8 reasons why i should burn 🔥 it
This is the most stupid car ever made,
Why?
My 4wd doesn't seem to work, what are some common issues for this? And does anyone elses 4wd red dash lights stay on ?
Dumb old drum brake and a former outmoded column drivestick
This car is one of the most reliable car’s for it’s money the car lasted 8 years until a write off car crash. The power ratio in the car is perfect and it will be the best car for you (if you take care of it) but i highly recommend it
I rather walk.
The manual gearbox and transmission is weak, would rather save up for a hilux then buy a ute urgently the wait will be worth it aha
Should've bought the Isuzu it's based on
China company
Very good car
Sebelah mana top mesin qeen hol
Dimana top mesin qerenhol
Лорка спокойно може да Говорим
4 years driving it and good and reliable as always, don’t know if someone else’s disagrees but this is my opinion based on my experience, I love it and I’ll get the new model for my son next month 👍🏽
hmmm, the front is giving alot of 2008 vw vibes
Great wall has not done a UA-cam video for 3 years, to me that says they have very little faith in their own products, I feel the UK market is not working for them, cheap yes, on paper looks good, yes, but qaulity and refinement no, they need to up their game here if they wish to succeed in the UK.
Not convinced here, if you look at the Steed in other countries, we are getting a substandard vehicle here that is cheap only, also true reviews show that quality is not here to, gearbox seems to be a major issue here on them as well, I may be wrong here but pictures do not lie here.
You should interview me. I am a very dissatisfied owner of a V200 bought brand new. The car has been an absolute nightmare. Never again.
rickdafrog is that a Great Wall steed?
I hear the v240 was the best engine option in hind sight. It a Mitsubishi 4g69 out of cars like a lancer, eclipse, outlander and tritons Ute's. It's a well proven reliable motor and survived longer than the Chinese engineered turbo diesel
I bought one brand new in 2015. I still have it because the resale value is crap. I’ve had way too many issues with it and the company has been very slow at fixing the problems. Water intake in cabin, air con failed, welds popped, engine overheated... it’s an absolute nightmare. I will tell everyone I know to never buy Great Wall. They’re absolute shit.
Any updates mate? As bad as ever I’m guessing?
احسن سيارك
I'm thinking of building a expedition vehicle that would have to be able to handle rough terrain. Definitely going to consider the Great Wall
Hi you have in Romania showrooms or Ukraine Hungary or Serbia Bulgari
Were assembled by Litex in Bulgaria
You could have chosen someone who was a bit easier on the eye
You must have high standards.
Uguale alla mia ,va veramente bene.
If you buy jeep I will make sure every person considering a jeep knows it not the same as it was when amc Willys or fiat owned it as us Americans will not buy a car from you or jeep as long as you own them we will make sure you get bankruptcy and fall and make so little money you die of starvation or sell jeep and the rest of fiat crystler
That bloke actually made it through the whole of his sales pitch without bursting into hysterical laughter. Someone give him a cigar! It's only got a two star NCAP rating. Would you trust it not to leave you dead in a crash? The ride quality is rubbish. It steers like a pregnant duck and rocks and rolls around bends, It'll only tow two tons, and if you load the bed up with anything more than a weeks worth of shopping, it'll struggle to get up the slightest incline. Oh, and if you do ever have to slam on the brakes, the leather seats are so slippery you'll end up in the footwell. I test drove one, and it made me feel very, very ill. Then I bought a second hand Ranger instead.
still its better then a nissan navara
Wow... You're a real charmer for a man with a tiny penis aren't you! I wonder if that's how you talk to strangers that you meet in the street? That's my opinion based on solidly researched facts and figures and on the very worrying test drive that I had in one. It's also part of what led me to buy a Ford Ranger 3.2, a reliable and well built truck that will actually tow 3.5 tons in addition to carrying another ton in the tub, and in comfort. Also, it's rated with a five star NCAP which means that I'll actually stand a chance of walking away from a crash, and that's something that's never going to happen in a Great Wall. You've seen a truck carrying six men up a hill? Wow! I regularly carry half a ton of tools while towing a two ton trailer up and down muddy farm tracks and across fields in mine. Like I say. My opinion based on reality and not yours, based on god knows what, and that wasn't asked for in the first place.... Bore off and going and troll someone who cares.
navaras are shit. they are so shit nissan has to buy them back ffs lol. chassis are snapping in half. that anit a good pick up in my book. the great wall pick up wont snap in half. only navaras snap and rust to bits and thats if the cheep timning chain in the engine dont snap first. nissan navaras are the worst pick up you can buy. you got to be dumb to buy one.
yes this tuck is shit but its still better than a navara. navara = snap crackle and pop. Honesty i have a 15 year old wheelbarrow with less rust and holes in it than a 5 year old navara chassis.
Y'know something? For you to be able to put across such a balanced argument, you can't just have a chip on one shoulder, you must have a gigantic one on each. I'm not bragging about anything. Just stating a fact. I need a reliable truck for work, if it lets me down then I lose money, so I did my research and got the best that I could afford within my budget. If that offends you in some way, then hey, just dry your eyes, put on your big girl's blouse and suck it up. That ain't my problem!
GREAT WALL IS CRAP!!!!! THEY DO NOT COVER ALL PARTS ON WARRANTY!!!! THEY WILL RENIG ON YOUR WARRANTY!!!!
DO NOT BUY A GREAT WALL!! THEY DO NOT COVER ALL PARTS ON WARRANTY!! THEY WILL RENIG ON YOUR WARRANTY!!!!
its better than buying a nissan navara rust bucket
DO NOT BUY A GREAT WALL! THEY DO NOT COVER ALL PARTS ON WARRANTY!!!! THEY WILL TRY AND RENIG ON YOUR WARRANTY!!!
Hatbox hello im from argentina, its i was thinking to get one for work in my farm, and i want to now more info of your experience.
Great Wall , una marca que uso personalmente hace 6 años y muy satisfecho por el desempeño y calidad de esta marca china. (Great Wall Florid Cross) Felicitaciones . Excelent Car , Good job
for the price these utes are great! yes things aren't as smooth as ford rangers and Toyota hiluxs which is understandable! i have 2 great wall Ute's. one for farm and one to go on farm once the current one gets over 100xxx.....the motors on these things (petrol model) look exactly like a l200 to me, all the running gear looks like a l200 which are terrific utes, overrall great utes perfect for people who just need something cheap cause your worried about recking a ranger or hilux! this is definitely a good substitute
Having driven a steed and achieving 38mpg, keeping to the service scedule of 10000 miles and the rack and pinion steering is much more direct than the same year ford ranger or mitsubishi L200. The suspension is pure isuzu and the gearbox is a Borg Warner unit not unlike that in the vw amorak. I guess it's easy to judge harshly without ever putting your money where your mouth is. I think it's fair to say that like kia or hyundai these will quickly rise in popularity and then in price, after all about 80% of the spangly show off consumer electronics come from the same country
what is the song about: "driving into the dust with you driving no place to go driving into the dust with you on and on the story always goes now i have lost the sunshine in my soul"?
facebook.com/groups/1428208167454233/
It is only rated to tow 2.5 tonne and looking at the video it seems that there is no High/Low transfer box. Still for the money its quite good value. Low price isn't everything though as Lada and Moskvitch used to be bargain priced but where are they now? Grey imports of three year old 4x4s from Japan will be tough competition in this sector of the market.
I have one for farm, It does have high and low box. it is actually a bit speedier than the older 3litre isuzi's I like her, terrific value
Lol what happened to the fookin USSR that made lada and moskvitch
I have driven one in England. It is great, good for the money. The Chinese cars are picking up, and becoming competitive.
jongmans38 must be just kidding. I have driven one in England, and it is just fine. It is good for the money.
that's a very stable car,, if it can finish double on the Dakar safari rally
Nice truck hopefully next year
I have driven one of these cars, gearbox is terrible and feels it comes from an old tractor and the steering feels like the steering wheel is attached to the wheels by elastic bands. Fuel consumption is high and service interval short. If you get offered it for free take it, but you would be daft to spend your own money on it.
I can only view the steed as a budget workhorse vehicle, like the video showed. Me personally wouldn't buy one as a leisure weekend vehicle.
It's like a Nissan frontier
