This is absolutely golden. Spot on with all advice.
Great presentation and some brilliant advice it will definitely help me picking marks in future. Cheers mate 👍
Really helpful. Thank you for sharing...
Many thanks for this tutorial. I've learned a lot, but it may have been easier to illustrate where you can't catch bass, but good stuff all the same. Raymondo.

Please can you help me how to catch mullet fish I'm struggling to catch i have seen your videos Mike ladle typical mullet fishing with ragworm and bread. I'm from Chennai ragworm are very expensive is there any other of fulling them or are there very smart
Best bit of venue finding info I have ever heard….👍👊
Very informative. Wish I’d seen this earlier. I’ll feel bad catching to eat now. 😢 thanks for info. Will checkout web site too. 👍🏻
I usually wouldn't bother with a minimal visual presentation like this, but this was excellent. You really touched on all the pertinent points, with no unnecessary fluff. I've been fishing over 30 years now, but have recently gotten almost addicted to lure fishing, especially sea bass. Bass fishing has improved drastically over the years this far up the East Coast of Ireland (Dublin) and the range of good lures really compliments it. I'm so heartened to see the prevalence of catch and release increase over the years and care for the quarry show through. Again, excellent presentation.👍Sub definitely earned.
Just extraordinary 🎣
Love their passion
Thanks for your help
2022 right here 😉😜
Great listen thanks Marc. Reading through your books a 2nd time
Another thing...I have a mate who swears by the "Need an onshore wind, need it to be dark, need it to be this and that...etc". My question is....so if the conditions aren't optimal, do the Bass just sit there waiting? Surely they go through a cycle every 24 hours....feed, rest, feed, rest, etc. Otherwise, a period of high pressure (for example) will see them not doing anything. As predators, surely food is searched out when it is needed, irrespective of what we perceive are ideal conditions?
Nice one, Marc. Enjoyed...thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge. Interesting about water temp.....surely if the Bass are there, regardless of temp they will be feeding? Otherwise what are they doing? Not in any way a criticism, just wondering?
Desperate to know this: what is the correct name, is it “Bass”, “Seabass” or “Sea Bass”?
There is no right or wrong really. The species of bass that we have around the UK and European coasts (latin: Dicentrarchus labrax) is known as 'European sea bass' in scientific and academic circles. 'Sea Bass' has been the in vogue name for the past 30 odd years, thanks mainly to the restaurant and TV chef influence e.g. Keith Floyd, Rick Stein, Gordon Ramsey et all refer to the fish as 'sea bass''. In the UK anglers drop the 'sea' and just call them 'bass' as we have no freshwater bass, such as they do in other parts of the world.
easy when sand is that soft u can use a pump with diameter size of a scaffold tube, u could not use that size pump at most places have to use 22mm not a 50mm alvey.
We made this video 12 years ago...tjhe 2 inch alvey pumps were the only pumps available back then. Now much thinner pumps are sold everywhere. Hard sand isnt a problem fo bigger pumps, if you know how to use them.
Tough to watch that poor soul getting battered like that.
awesome info guys cheers

Everything you said makes sense, because there is a 'science' behind it all. Your passion is inspiring and I shall be attempting to put some of this into practice at marks local to me here in Swansea that it may be applicable. Many thank and kind regards, Karl.
