Really like the slip on that case. I imported the 4K from the US, but just have the main artwork on my slip. So happy it got a physical media release though, the special features are amazing!

I'm hoping Criterion is able to release the new 4K in the UK, atm it's America only and not available on Amazon yet. Once I get my hands on that 4K, I will be putting my blu-ray in a protective case.

I was genuinely thinking about not getting this figure, but I did anyway. Took it out if the box and I can’t believe I almost didn’t get it, its beautiful! Looks a lot better in person than in pictures.

Yup, Amazon did not send slip covers with this for some reason. I sent it right back to Amazon and went up to Wal mart and purchased with the slip cover.

I think this is the best the film is ever gonna look. We desperately need the Heisei and Millennium films on 4K because those sony blu-rays are outdated and could do with a new transfer/restoration.
I couldn't agree with you more! The more I watch this 4K, the more I love it. Hopefully Criterion delivers on a Heisei and Millennium box sets. This 4K is currently on mt top 10 of 2024.

Good review. I’m a fan of the movie since watching in the early 90s. Ed Harley reminds me of my Dad, how he’s dressed with button shirt rolled up sleeves, drives a old truck too, old school. And I just bought the same Pumpkinhead SF bundle you got during the shocktober sale for 69.00.

@JAVIWOODPRODUCTIONS I should get my set Tuesday. I also suspect that some of the missing shorts might be due to some kind of censorship because someone else pointed out that a lot of the wartime episodes were taken out. Like when we were at war with Japan and I know in some of those films the term "Jap" or "Japs" was used by the Stooges, so I'm thinking Sony might have decided to remove those because of all the crazy hate that's been going on thanks to certain orange former president. But that's just my guess on some of the missing shorts. BTW while you are on UA-cam you may want to check out a fan made Stooges video where Moe decided to get into politics. Type in the search Moe For President and you should find it. The actors involved do a good job of imitating Larry, Moe, and Curly. LOL

@@robgordonhotknight63 Some of the comments informed me that almost every era of the Stooges has missing shorts. A lot surprisingly.
@@JAVIWOODPRODUCTIONS It's odd that Sony would release all 190 shorts on DVD but leave out 90 of them for the Blu Ray. Oh well still plan on getting the Blu Ray set. Looking forward to the feature movies. The only movie not included is Snow White and the 3 Stooges, but I already know why it's not included because that movie was done by 20th Century Fox.

Remember the colors are more blue in some scenes and in many dream sequences are intentionally more are specific by the Directors Wes Craven to create the movie as Titled A NIGHTMARE On ELM STREET were intentionally adjusted for the movie is a dream sequences to create That Effect

excellent review. I watched the 4k, and it looked fantastic, color clarity everything, 4k scanned with the original camera negative made the grain look so fine. I grew up with this movie watching it on TV. It’s my favourite in the series, because Freddy is scary - like how he says “this is god” 🫳 - he’s not too talkative as sequels. I’m surprised your parents didn’t let you watch it. my parents didn’t mind, they weren’t concerned about what’s on TV lol.
