The Ultimate Guide to Breed Mealworms and Super Worms at Home - Save Money and Keep Your Gecko Happy
I've just purchased a large amount of black and red cricket eggs in a coconut medium (I'm in Thailand). I'm looking at breeding them for my chickens/fish and want to get as much eggs laid from the adults before I harvest the crickets for feed. How many times or for how long do the adults lay eggs or does this vary depending on the breed of crickets? I was going to feed the crickets high protein chicken feed as well as vegetables.

How are his feet feathery like that? I caught a wild one but it’s feet aren’t like that
@@fuzzyslippers4349 It’s because of his breed. He is an old frill pigeon. The wild ones don’t have feathery feet, chest fluff, crested heads, or short beaks. There are many different pigeon breeds with different appearances that are cool to see!
Did the babies escape through the bars when they started adventuring? Ive been thinking of getting that cage, but im unsure if it is actually baby-mice proof.
@@anuviitala3463 Hi, no, I never had any issues with babies escaping. I haven’t noticed the mice chewing through the bottom either, but I see they like to chew the bars, causing the powder coating to come off.

We bought four feeder mice each for $4 which was $16 in total for one feeding for our snake he won't eat rats We don't know why. Anyway, one of the mice attacked our snake and left a pretty nasty bite on him. Anyway, our snake's fine but it was a scary experience
@@keenanwhitmer7562 Oh, no, that’s unlucky that the mouse hurt your snake. At least he was fine in the end. If your snake will eat frozen mice, then maybe you can try that instead in the future if you are worried about another similar instance happening.
Oh yeah you should NEVER feed your snake live animals UNLESS there is no other choice and you can moniter your snake safely. Four mice for one feeding for one snake??

Hello, I was wondering if a pigeon will poop everywhere if I let it free roam, and is it hard to clean off? Sorry for the inconvenience!
@@Drawithme-wp1pu Hi, yes, the pigeon will poop wherever, but usually, most of it will be around their favorite perching spots. There is such a thing as pigeon pants that you can look into to help with the mess, but it can be troublesome having to change it every couple of hours. As long as your bird is healthy and well-fed, the poop will be pretty solid and very easy to clean off of surfaces!
@@BubblyPetz1 tysm!!
My pigeon doesn’t have a cage only 2 small houses.
@@Aer6iu6 Thanks for watching. My pigeons don’t have cages either and are just free roam. They have a designated food/water area and a spot with a bed as their “home base.”
I HOPE YOU ARE NOT *LIVE FEEDING* REPTILES OR PIRANHAS. THAT'S SICK MALEVOLENT ANIMAL ABUSE!
great video! but i personally dont recommend paper bedding for rodents, except in small amounts as nesting and bedding material. its not actually as absorbent as you'd think, which can cause ammonia to build up faster. instead safe woods like aspen and kin dried pine, as well as pine pellets are a better choice for the majority of the bedding
@@meatlemonade3338Thanks for watching! I only had a couple of mice in the beginning which I used paper bedding for. I switched over to pine pellets shortly after just due to the price, so I never had the experience to compare the paper to wood bedding in terms of absorbency and smell with a full colony.
Always put down on old blanket do you are not shaving silicone out of carpets
@@madc.8153 Thanks for the tip. I should have thought of that…..😅
Thanks for the informational video! I learned a lot! I recently acquired a racing pigeon that was eating at my bird feeders, couldn't fly (probably exhausted, but can fly now), and the owner didn't register it so I have no way to return him. I've decided to keep him/her. He just recieved a clean bill of health from the vet, and is actually really healthy. I can only have him indoors, but I have in a 48x28x31 size cage. Built a perch for him also. I currently have him by a window that if he does not want to look out or needs to get out of the sun, he can do so. My question is, will placing him near the window so he can look out affect how I bond with him? Thank you!
@@doriandunham7998 Hi, it’s great that were able to take him in! Putting him near the window should not affect bonding at all since he is the only pigeon you have indoors.
@@BubblyPetz1Thank you. Wish me luck!
Youve come along way just in 2 years!! You certainly deserve at least 10K subs!!! Hope you and ALL of your animals have been well!
Thank you so much!! I hope one day I can reach 10k subs! I’ll keep working hard!!!
Hi @BubblyPetz1, I need advise. Recently I found wild pigeon outside struggling to eat food in the 40 degree Celsius heat. Found a box grabbed her, she didn’t resist much and brought her to the vet. Vet said she has cankers which is common in pigeons and will take time to heal. Due to cankers her lower beak was sideways that’s why she couldn’t grab food. Left in the vet for 12 days, cankers removed but her lower beak still sideways. She is second day with me trying to hand feed her. I need advice. Please if anyone knows how many times a day to give her food and water? That’s a main concern. She is in the box, sometimes trying to fly and once fed she is quite 😂. She is more active compared to when I found her. She doesn’t resist much when I try to pet her but feeding time she is resisting little but then she calms down and hand feed her. Is it ok to keep her in the box or should I get cage? If I release her she won’t survive coz she can’t eat on her own. Sorry for long explanation, any advice helps. Thx. By the way loved your video 😊
@@NoobNiteMobile Hi, for feeding, I would recommend 2-3 meals a day, but for water I’m not totally sure. I’d probably give water after every meal. My pigeon drinks about 1/4 cup water each day, so I’d probably space that amount out for your bird. Is she really unable to drink water by herself? Have you tried offering a bowl of water and dipping her beak into it? I think she should still be able to drink even if her beak is crooked.
@@NoobNiteMobile I’d get her a bigger cage to be in too if you can get her drink on her own. I probably wouldn’t do too massive of a cage, though, because she might get stressed out trying to escape whenever you have to catch her for feeding.
@@BubblyPetz1 thank you very much. I’m feeding her morning and evening. Today 3rd day she is with me. About feeding if you can advice quantity that would be nice. When I feed her she sees the food and tries to eat but can’t grab. About water I’m using syringe but I’ll put water near her. Let’s see if I can catch her trying to drink water. About cage I’ll get her smaller one as you suggested. Till then she is in the box. Thanks again.
@@NoobNiteMobile About a tablespoon of seed per feeding.

I have a pigeon.

And they cannot destroy furniture and other belongings.
@@maplemanz Yeah, that’s one of the big reasons why I like them better than parrots, haha.
Love the winged eyes 👌🏻 and you have a LOT of awesome exotic pets 😅 More than I initially thought!

Don't waste that nitrogen rich water down the drain.... Water your indoor and outdoor plant with it. Recycle the water my friend. 😅
@@jamesksf1990 Wow, I didn’t even think about that! I’ll have to keep that in mind for next time!
What about a single person having a single pigeon, and the person needs to run to the store, or go for a walk, or go to a friends house for an hour or so -- Will the Pigeon be happier and feel more secure and at peace going WITH their person (as long as it is being kept safe and protected from any and all other elements, people, and animals), rather than "staying home alone"??
@@flashlitestriker4028 If your pigeon is bonded to you, then they will always wants to follow you and be with you. You’re pigeon probably isn’t used to traveling and the outdoors, so bringing it with you might stress it out; however, you can work on slowly desensitizing it to the sights, sounds, and experiences outside of your home. That way, your pigeon won’t be scared and can travel around with you without any issues.
@@BubblyPetz1 Sweet! Thank you!
Do they poo into your hair?
@@nikonnikiforoff Usually not since they are bigger birds and they poo off to the side. If you have a pigeon that often likes to sit on your head, then they might get poop onto your hair occasionally, but I’ve heard that you can train them to sit on your shoulder instead of your head if you want to avoid this.
Ah bless❤ thank you for your info. Was a bit worried. I have mourning doves in an aviary and I saw a patch on one about an inch in diameter. I did then notice new pins forming under the skin. Other than that all healthy. Thanx again

Birds in captivity- just sad
@@patsih883 Maybe. I say it heavily depends on the owner and how much they provide and do for their birds. Most birds in captivity are captive bred and don’t know life outside of that environment, so they won’t miss it or be sad like a wild born one forced to live in captivity.
Help full ❤🎉
I'm glad it helped you!

I have three juvenile pigeons, they are being hand fed a nutrient filled slurry in a syringe atm. How do I know when they’re ready to begin eating on their own?
@@whenyoutrybutstillfail505 Usually, they are weaned at around 30 days old. They should pretty much have their adult feathers at this point. You can start by keeping a bowl of seeds in their cage to encourage them to peck at it. If they are at least 2 weeks old, then you can feed them from the syringe but can also introduce them to seeds. You can soak seeds overnight and use the bottle feeding method to get them to eat. There are videos on UA-cam about this that you can check out to help you!
Great vid as always 😉 Used to have a leopard gecko that always ate crickets. Had to buy a bag of a dozen every week, so this would've helped if I still had her. Looking great as always Aila 👍🏻
@@Pigeins Thanks for watching! At least, if you ever get a reptile again in the future, then you’ll know what to do! 😊

Can you make a vid on how to get ur pigeon to stop biting you bc my pigeon lay in fertilize egg and it broke into yolk and she sit on it and I. Try to take it out coz it stink but she bit me all time
This is natural behavior in pigeons when they are defending their nest. The biting could be avoided if the pigeon saw you as their mate, but that would usually mean keeping only one bird so that they bond to you and not another pigeon. You could probably use a towel to grab your pigeon off the nest to remove the broken egg if you want to avoid getting bit.
Got my first bird few days ago so i watched a lot of video recently, this one is the first to give me the real answers to my questions, thanks ! your birds are beautifuls

If I work 8-10 hours a day, is that too much to own a pigeon?
@@angryrabidfoxes7380 It depends on how much time outside of work you can spend with the pigeon. If you can’t spend some hours with it, then you should have at least 2 birds so that they will keep each other company.
@@BubblyPetz1 thanks!
