Out and about riding tracks with mates and fellow riders, either on the little bike in the scrub or the bigger one looking at the countryside.
2024 Honour Our King Adv Ride.
Adventure ride from Mackay down to Rockhampton. This is where the track started, heading south to Rosedale via back roads. Day 2 had us heading over to Kroombit Tops to camp the night. A run down the Razorback Track to Biloela for breakfast before heading into Goodedulla Forest. Then we had to backtrack to get over to Marlborough to visit Charon Point then over to Stanage Bay for the night. The last day was an easy run home again via some back roads. 6 days covering 2200km.

Out on the trail bikes through the hills for the weekend. Found a few logs to hop over and gullies to cross. Had a large group to keep entertained. Whoever stuffed up ie put the bike on the ground or had to work on their bike, got to wear the tutu until the next rider stuffed up. Thanks to Jake for the video files.

Final marking out of Loop #3 for Pioneer Valley Enduro Club upcoming 2 day trail ride. 40km of varying tracks from open scrub to bars touching trees, sandy gullies, creek crossings, uphills, downhills and rock creek beds.

Day 3 Gayndah to Bunya Mountains The sun popped up early and so did we, however not early enough to miss the gatekeeper. Day 2 Cania Gorge to Gayndah A light breakfast at camp before packing the bike up and down the road to Monto. Bevo headed straight there as the fuel tank was getting very very low. A small bike ride into the hills, an early start before meeting up with the rest of the crew. It wasn’t long before I was nursing my way home due to a failed clutch. Tubed Tyre removal and reinstallation.

Removal of a tubed tyre from the rim and then reinstalling the tubed tyre onto the rim. Give others a guide for the task. Others may do it differently however practice it at home where you have the tools and time so when it happens out on the trails, you have the confidence to get yourself going again.
Pioneer Valley Enduro Club March 2024 Trail Ride

2 days of riding trails in the Mackay hinterland thanks to the Pioneer Valley Enduro Club. Pilot from Tierawoomba Stn tried telling me Collaroy Road is a private road. I disagreed and rode it again on my return from Walkerston.
As far as I know the Collaroy/ Tierawoomba road is a public access road. The main reason for that road these days is to access properties plus the nebo/gladstone powerline. He might have been talking of another road however I’d be surprised if this one ever became private.
@@1iadventures I agree. Apparently the owner of Tierawoomba also owns most of the properties along Collaroy Rd. He’s got the largest wagyu herd in Australia

Nice work! I also have a 2012 that is approaching 80 000 abusive kilometers. Leak down is creeping up, around 12% through the base (rings). So a rebuild is soon due. Did you change all the bearings or just crank case bearings and preload shims?
Changed all bearings. I used OEM bearings as they are a C4 clearance compared to a standard bearing being a C3. That’s probably a good reason why they are so rattley.

Looks good! I can’t decide between this and the Brittania.
A mate has the brittania on his dr650. I didn’t like it due to the build quality. Joe at yenkro is a bit introverted however a great to talk with and knowledgeable.
I’m not sure how it would look on my 701 as it’s not the long range version so I can’t use the side panels. I use this bike as a lightweight adventure bike and could use the wind protection plus the space for a gps and accessories looks good. Our USA distributor is 4 hours away, I might take a trip to see them up close. So many towers to choose from now.
@@BlackdogADV I have my 690 back to the bare bike (no front tanks or racks). Looks good and not dependent on having tanks to secure it. I’ll see if I can find a photo.

Warburton to Cowes via Pakenham. Only a short distance day, pulled into Pakenham for the guys to get some new rubber (tyres that is). We are back in suburbia, cars and roadworks everywhere. Got into Cowes and straight to the Esplanade for lunch- fish and chips. A bit of supplies, find the house and maintenance time. Then a couple of ales and steaks.
