How to use Color Muse with Viper Formulas
Well once again having trouble with red. I have the pigment mixture and having problems with coverage. Doesn't cover well. Too transparent. 😢 how many coats to cover that white repaired area?
First off what product are you using ? Then we can best advise
@viperproducts5687 formulation pigment #130 high strength micro resin pigment. Mixed with promax ultra mixing base, low gloss, clear.
@@Dre_day82 That is the weakest of all the reds That is a mixing red that needs to be mixed with other colors should not be used by itself . Try using bright Red or 135 Nap Red much stronger pigment also how much pigment did you load on Red we usually load 25-30% Max Pigment load into the clear base
130 Red is only used with formulas its also the most expensive red.
@@viperproducts5687 i will definitely keep that in mind. But I did use it as a formula. Probably not enough of the other colors, though. Being as I have to color match colors that I don't have swatches for. Thank you for the advice. Helpful as always.
SEM Color Coat is not for leather, Classic Coat is for leather. That said your point still stand it's a 1 part aerosol paint, the crosslinker is key.
At the end of the day its marketing .Color coat , Classic coat , Marine coat Etc. Are all solvent based spray paint and none of them work long term. None of them have chemical resistance. Just because a can says its approved for a specific use does not mean it is. Due your own testing and you will see . Our products are professional products designed specifically for the purpose of refinishing leather , Vinyl and Hard plastics . They will out perform anything currently on the market and have the look and feel of s professional finish .
How does this compare to superior restoration products paint?
Superior uses Classic Dye. Which is a standard grade old style PUD . Polycryl is in a whole different league it is the only Polycarbonate Hybrid using patented resin technology. It will easily out perform any other dye on the market with long term durability and extreme chemical resistance there is no other coating that even comes close including anything sold by superior. Viper is different then the other suppliers because we are the Manufacture we design and develop the products there is no middle man the products do not get cut or watered down. Viperproducts.com

When I place the Colour muse tool on my car, if the colour of my car is metallic diamond white, will this tool tell me which colour will be used and how much to make metallic diamond white colour
The color muse is a color picker that picks from a library of prematched colors for interior parts not exterior
Love your guys products! It all I use anyway which heat temp vinyl compound would you suggest for real leather? I’ve always just stuck with Dura flex but when I encounter real leather I never know exactly how to approach it
IN this video we are repair real leather .We show how to use base fill which is a lower tem compound to make the base repair then we go over that with duraflex. You need to watch the heat on real leather that is why we apply the base repair compound using a lower temp to get adhesion. The entire repair could be done with base as well .
There seems to be a lot of "marketing terms" thrown around here. And the fact that you don't sell to the public pretty much seals the deal. Many industries introduce a middleman to ensure profit.
How do I buy the product? I want to get it in Black. Thanks
This is an older video , At this time we do not sell our products to DIY people . We only sell to professional techs who know how to apply professional finishes. We simply do not have the time or manpower to explain how to use the professional Products or tell them they need if they do not know what they are doing. Professional repair is an art and skill not for the DIY. You would be much better off having a professional tech fix your damage . Contact any car dealership and ask them if they have a repair tech they use Thanks for your interest .
@ I don’t have any damage I just wanted the color. No problem though
I assume this would not work on a leather armrest?
Yes our professionals can fix leather or vinyl with our professional products
What air dry compound did you use?
What is this process called. Where can I have this done ? I have a couple small tears in my drivers door armrest. Thanks
vinyl repair .check with detail shops or stop into a car dealer to find out who does this in your area
I color match Escalade interior from 99-06 to very dark pewter so that it will fit most Silverados or Sierras and it’s been a good little side hustle for me, but I’ve been wanting to change dye and the supplier for two main reasons 1. Color Hue was never consistent Making the dye Appear different each time I bought a gallon 2.Dye doesn’t fully bond with leather so once there was a tear it just spread from there and trying to find an adhesive promoter that isn’t expensive or that actually works is a little difficult. Right now, I currently have a few products in the cart at the website and I was wondering What do you recommend as a adhesion promoter for plastic and leather?
Our products are very high performance and have excellent adhesion. For extreme adhesion we have a primer tat is called grip base. This is mostly used in high wear areas like a bolster or steering wheels. Our products use a non toxic crosslinker to dramatically increase adhesion and chemical resistance. There will be no pealing problems as long as the leather is prepped properly. As far as cost goes you get what you pay for inexpensive means its been cut and you will probably have issues .Unfortunately everything is expensive in the current environment. We do not build our products based on cost we build them to work. Thanks Tom
Thank you so much for this. I wasn't sure what I was doing wrong, the paper was sticking on the leather. My iron wasn't hot enough and I didn't have oil on my paper. Thanks
The products are the first thing we sow in the video
What are all the products used
Why would i use alcohol on my car leather seat tho?? I think the aerosol can paint is cool
Many cleaners and sanitizers contain alcohol that is why most of the products sold commercially are just a quick fix and do not last .Aerosol Spray paint will ruin a leather seat . Aerosol o or solvent base spray paint will make the seat hard and will crack and peel .Real professional techs have to fix these hack repairs . Our products are not for DIY these are professional products for professional techs.
Another banger is drop?
? What are you trying to say
This is super impressive. Did you use a burner? I think i saw it just to clarify it. Thank in advance
We use a butane torch to do these repairs. These are high skill professionals . This video is to show what professional repairs are These products and techniques are not for do it yourself repairs
Did you clear coat any of the products or add cross linker to any of the products
In this Video none of the finishes were top coated with clear however if we were to topcoat our product with our duracryl topcoat which we do normally it would even further increase the durability . We did use our non -toxic crosslinker and the very toxic crosslinkers from color lock and geist .The demo is an apples to apples comparison . Which shows how our exclusive hybrid technology is a much better high performance product the a standard grade DIY product like color lock or geist . If you use those products do the test yourself and you will see even crosslinked or top coated the results are the same , They know it and we know it . That is why you will never see durability test shown for those products. Viper is the only high performance product designed for extreme chemical resistance and factory look and feel for use by professional repair techs.
Whats the last item that was sprayed on near the end
Professional Spray texture was used near the end but these are high skill professional repairs. With professional products .Not a do it yourself product

Can I use advanced leather solutions sg4 primer instead of grip base? Can I apply the blended toner after using sg4 primer? Can the blended toner be rubbed on without using an airbrush or hvlp sprayer at all?
Hi there, when will be available formulas for blended toners ? Thanks

Hello there. I am trying to dye color change my beige Audi leather seats to black. Where can I get this product please? I don't see it on the website.
viperproducts.com
Are there only formulas for pogment plus clear base? Or it is the same procedure with blended colors? Thanks
Pigments are more accurate .At this time its only for pigment, but in the future we will make it available for the blended toners . However the blended toners must be made to a specific weight to work in a formulation so we will develop formulation blended toners for this purpose
@@viperproducts5687 Thanks for quick response,I didn‘t know that,I ordered all base blended toners 😞,I thought I can mix them with color muse device!
@@viperproducts5687 To bad about that😞 I have already order all colors as blended toners,I thought Ican mix them whit color muse or yours formulas
Why are leather repair products and instructions so incredibly difficult to find. You'd think with 14 billion cars with jacked up seats this would be common knowledge with products on Amazon or walmart. NOTHING.
These are not training videos these are professional products not DIY you need to have all the correct products and professional training not as simple as diy instructions
How the hell is this stuff not in walmart or amazon. You can't find ish for heat cure or pro leather repair ANYWHERE
These are professional products for use by trained professional . These are not DIY products.
These are professional products for use by professionals . These are not walmart or Amazon gimmicks. they are available on our website.Viperproducts.com But we do not offer support to DIY . There is more to it then you think
I don't believe it. The only video on the internet showing how to do this GD shit. This should be like common knowledge with all the trashed leather seats in 14.5 billions cars across america.
Whats the product named? Do instructions come with, and do you really have to burn it?
We are not selling do it yourself kits. Our videos are for professionals. that know or should know how to use the products. The surface has to be correctly melted to create a permanent repair. Professionals learn this when they are trained.
@@viperproducts5687 I was going to purchase this for my business, but this was an asshole response. Huge turn off of your products.
How much time did you allow for the SEM and the Color bond to cure before doing this test?
They were all applied and dried for the same amount of time 24 hours before the test . Spray paint is spray paint there is no crosslinker once its dry that's all you get it can dry for 3 months and you will get the same results not to mention it will crack and peel over time. Our professionals have to redo these rattle can jobs all the time .It just makes a mess and only looks ok for a short time its a quick fix. No durability. Real pros do not use rattle cans. We match the colors and blend the repairs with professional high performance finishes..
Do you have any regular leather clean & protect maintenance products (as opposed to dye & repair stuff). Would you recommend one of your clears for this purpose?
Yes we have cleaners and conditioners
I paint chairs with Sherwin Williams
Good for you that shows you have no idea what your doing. That is a hack and will come off easily just like rattle can spray paint .We are showing what a long lasting professional finish is , We do professional high performance repair we don't do Hacks.
Hello how do you texture these air dry fillers?
We use spray texture . You cannot directly texture air dry fillers like heat cure compounds
Seems rather easy to me😂
Man, that sucks.
So I have a Color Muse 2 (is that better than the Color Muse SE?) and I've been color-matching leather seats in my customers' cars and going to Sherwin-Williams with the color codes and getting a color-matched quart of Superpaint for all my leather repairs. So far it seems to work fine, but was wondering if I could increase the durability of the finish by putting your Duracryl on top. Any feedback is appreciated. Thank you.
Do you have a dealer network or similar? Would be interested in getting a panel matched and material to paint it, but I don't have a need for the entire system. None of the SEM pre caned colors match the color so been looking for something more custom.
We are the manufacturer of the products . We offer custom color matching for a fee . If you send in a sample of the color we can match it to your sample and provide a premium coating designed for the item your trying to restore. We are not a mass market generic type of product like SEM . Everything we do is custom .
Where and how do I purchase the dura-flex filler?
viperproducts.com under heat cure compounds . But unless your in the business the duraflex filler by it self will not help you repairs still need to be grained and colored
@@viperproducts5687 I’m not in the business anymore. I loved it!! That was the most satisfying job ever. I’ve purchased the ones sold at O’Reilly’s. The filler is mixed into dye. I find it is difficult being that it clumps. Thanks for the response. When I’m fixing to look at your product. I’m going to need dyes for sure. Is there a place to list a referral?
@@viperproducts5687 just looked at your site. MIND blown! Affordable too! I don’t want to say the brand or company name he used, but he paid a lot of money and he even called his company by the name. They will not sell to an individual. I’ve been looking. I don’t know why I just found you, but I’m a happy fella now. Thanks
Very clever. Not much point without the “how to” explanation
This is a demo video not an instructional video .
Is this color muse or something new, available now?
Not yet it will be launched in about 3 weeks. It will be on the website when its ready viperproducts.com
@@viperproducts5687 Thank you.
This is a newer version of the color muse and its our own version of the software
@@viperproducts5687 Nice, I can't wait to see it on your site.
Used SEM my entire career, lived in the NY so freezing was an issue. Now I’m in North Carolina and I’m thinking about water base. I have a difficult time with change.
How would you fix a light gray suede pillar with cigarette burns?
Skull yeah bruder
This is honestly really impressive, and fun to watch!
Why couldn't you just take it aprt and replace the vinyle all together?? I mean looks grate what you did but seams like alot of needless work for something that could be fixed in about 10 minutes
that would be much harder what you saw took like 5-10 min that would easily take 30 min to an hour
Replacing the vinyl would be expensive, at that point replace the entire armrest with an OEM part. Vinyl repair is fast, effective and cheap, that’s what dealers want.
This repair rook 5 mins . To replace it would take much longer and more wok involved
What is the pre for?
Pre ? What are you talking about
What's being put on to the patch thing
It says it right on the first video XR-11 is being put over the plug
@@viperproducts5687 yeah what's the plug made out of
@@deepimpactdetailing2436 a piece of scrap leather
Prep? What uses
We use silicone remover as the main prep used with sand 600 grit sandpaper
The product you’re putting under the rip, is that a small piece of foam?
No that is a piece of leather being used as a subpatch
@@viperproducts5687 that’s what I thought, but wanted to make sure.
