My prayers and thoughts are with you
What light stand are you using?
We were using a Matthews C-Stand. Cheers! www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/320208-REG
RIP! Going to miss Jimbo! Great guy!
I bought one but idk what barn door i can get for it. Bought it barebones used. And do i need a focusing gobo attachment. 😅
4 years ago yet it's saving my butt today. lol. Setting up for a shot tomorrow...... cramped office space.
So glad to hear! Good luck in the office space! 👍👍👍
Great Video!
What telescoping stand are you using for the leko?
What’s a good dimmer to put multiple lekos on?
This thought put in words was just what we need for our church.
Hi, thanks for a great idea. Looking into BMPCC's and they have 3.5 plug for timecode, any reason that comes to your mind that this wouldn't work with 3.5 plugged cable/splitters?
Well done. Thank you for this.
Do you know if the c70 can work on the Robin mx3
Great video! What dimmer is that?
Here is a link to the dimmer used in the video. Enjoy! www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/755346-REG/Impact_D_1000_D1000_1_000W_AC_Dimmer.html

Great video, I wonder if you've tried to diffuse this fixture, and if so what did you use? I talking more about a chimera or softbox type of thing. Thanks!
You could probably stick some R119 in there I have had good results with that diffusion on tungsten fixtures.
Maybe drop links of where to find products and list off all your equipment you use for the spotlight ? Would’ve been helpful
What do you use to mount the fixture to the c-stand?
A Matthews TVMP Adapter
useless
They're pretty useful. Though sourcefours are primarily used for theatre. The more modern day led ones are great but a bit pricey.
Haha, you're funny. In the 90s every musician sold their analogue synths and vinyl record players. Now they're worth tens of thousands. In about 5 years the analogue light revolution will begin. Why? the organic mystery and the warmth. You heard it here first...
@@LanzaroteShowcase I agree. What other lights do you consider analogue light? Curious as I’m still learning
@@krosfyah4932 I meant tungsten and Hmi lights. They’re hot and dangerous but make people look great. I picked up a couple of spots which I’m using for interviews and effects such as cookies.
@@LanzaroteShowcase agreed I wish they didn’t draw so much power either. Low pull leds have spoilt me somewhat. Still can’t be beat for great spot and gobo/ cutting either imho. Long live analogue
Great content, thank you
I never managed with a C300. It's not the weight, but its shape that prevents a good stabilization!
Can you use the canon c200 not the c200B just C200? thanks
Prank cs you can use the C300mkii, so I would bet you can make c200 work well!
Yeah. This is great!
Thanks for your comment! Those adapters works well!
Really nice composition on both shots and great to hear someone actually talk about set design when filming an interview!
Thanks so much, James! We really believe in good set design
Try the Elation Seven Par IP out! It has a CRI of 90
You guys should not stop making videos like this! It's really useful behind the scene work and insight
Thanks so much! We loving being on set!
Is the timecode burned on the video or the audio track?
kkblevins31 on the c300mkii, timecode is meta data that is included in each video file. Each video file also contains 4 audio tracks as well. Makes it one click of a button to sync up multiple tracks. So easy.
How much do u guys get paid for this kind of work if u dont mind me asking?
What dimmer are you using there?
It's an Impact D1000 (www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/755346-REG/Impact_D_1000_D1000_1_000W_AC_Dimmer.html)
Great video. Which the best Ronin model to work with the C100?
The ronin-m works great with the c100. You just need to find a external monitor to mount on the top of the ronin-m bars. The Regular Ronin works great too, but its not worth the extra weight.
New Branch Films the monitor could be a cellphone?
RIP HEADPHONE USERS........That high pitch is nasty, please learn how to eq and remove high pitched hiss -__-
Should I buy c300 mark1 or c200 for cinema video shoot it’s just music video shoot want to shoot like movie
Sandeep Singh you’d want to get the C200. But it’s only $2.5k more for the c300mkii
New Branch Films thanks for your reply I am asking about c300mark 1 or c200
Sandeep Singh you’re welcome. Like I said in my previous comment, you’d want to get the c200.
You don’t need to gaff the monitor to the bar, I was working with this system this weekend and what we did was use a 1/4 20 male to male adapter and using one of ronin’s quick release bar mounts and mounting it via that. It was much more solid than gaffing it but I suppose whatever works 👌🏻
Jacob Voss our c300 we used on that shoot does not have a 1/4 screw anywhere on the monitor unit. Very unfortunate. So we couldn’t do that. However, the c300mkii’s monitor DOES have a 1/4 mount, so when we fly the c300mkii, that’s exactly how we do it. Thanks for the comment!
Amazing, thanks for this, please send link to where i can purchase the multiple cfast card readers unit. Thanks
Seed Productions www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1060363-REG and then you need to buy 4x of these cfast readers (www.adorama.com/ilxlrwcr2tbn.html) They are discontinued now, but only because Lexar was purchased by another company, not because issues with the product. Enjoy!
Thanks, very helpful.

Looks like you're shooting an AA movie ?
Vladimir Talijan Thanks. We are filming a educational online training video. We really wanted it to look beautiful. Thanks for the comment!
Nice setups! I'm a fellow c300 mark ii shooter. Such a great camera. Well wishes from NJ!
officejet1268 thanks a lot! Yes, we love the c300mkii! Is this how you would normally do a multi-cam setup? Or do you have another technique?
New Branch Films I've done multicam for a conference with my c300 mark ii, my c300 mark I and some high end pro camcorders. Worked like a charm!!
officejet1268 that’s great! The C300mkii and C300 still match super well when you’re using CLOG on both. Do you film much in CLOG2? Because it is the flattest profile, that’s what we prefer for most color grading options
New Branch Films I tend to shoot in Wide DR with a cinema gamut the most. A lot of my projects are quick turn around so I find that this gives me a great amount of dynamic range and shrinks the post process by a lot.
officejet1268 for sure! Great option for quick turn around time! Thanks so much for the connecting with us!
I tried to use my 5dmk4 with a battery grip on my Ronin-M yesterday and freaked out that it touched the back 🤣 I guess it would be just fine, and only limit the upward tilt. Good to know.
c0pyimitati0n I haven’t tried the 5DMKIV on the Ronin-m. Have you looked into the extension rods that DJI makes? I wonder if that would give you a little extra length. Even with the limitations of the tilt, the Ronin-M gives you a lot of advantages. Obviously, the most important thing is using the right movement to enhance the story, not just because it looks cool. Let me know what you find out!
Awesome video. I love the way you guys rigged the C300 monitor on top...now that's the true game changer ...because like you said, and we know, without that monitor and joystick, i feel like a blind pilot LOL Thanks again..great video.
Thank you!
Hi, does the c500 fit? Thanks for the video!
Andrew Starns I have not tried to see 500. However, I have use the C300mkii on the Ronin-m many times (with the extension rods), and it works great. It cannot tilt all the way back or tilt all the way forward, but it does a great job of stabilizing the motion
Thanks for the wonderful video. Just wonder if c300 mark ii fits on Ronin M . thank you
Jian Ping Hey! Thanks for the response. The C300mkii DOES fit on the ronin-m but there are two things you must note. 1, you must have the extension rods for the ronin-m. 2, you can’t title all the way up to look at the ceiling, the camera is too tall. Also, you need a good way to mount the monitor to the top handle. I used it almost every shoot like this! Works great!
Eric Niequist where can i buy the extension? will it fit on ronin mx? many thanks
Great work!)
What the screen with the joystick called?
Anthony Carrillo the screen with the joystick comes with the purchase of the Canon C300
What is the heaviest lens you were able to balance on it?
Jeff Speers hey, one of the challenges we've found is if you put on a lens that changes physical length when you zoom in, like the 24 to 70, then the camera is off-balance again. So the lenses we've had the most success with is the 16-35 (which doesn't change size when you zoom), and also any prime lens. We've used the Canon 30mm f2.0. I really wouldn't fly any lens higher than a 30 mm. The wider angle allows you to capture more movement
man, I have directed a lot of top tv presenters in my time (worked with Attenborough, Simon cowell, Bear Grylls etc etc) and I think you could go professional as a presenter. I have no idea what you could present, maybe a show about shooting crazy videos, but you have the look and the charisma. Go and audition!
eittaw1 thanks!
You have to buy the extended legs for it. Like an 18.00 piece from B&H.
That camera is gonna kill the motors quickly... it's just too heavy for the RoninM
