How often did you service the movement?

Just picked one up recently refurbished. The serial number on mine dates it to 1998 so it has the better movement and also luminova instead of tritium markers, so the batons still glow all night. It’s an amazing piece and I’m so stoked to have it in my collection.

I’m doing this with my Timex easy reader. I really like how it looks but I don’t like the movement. I am a sucker for a sweeping second hand. I’m getting a Seiko movement put in. Guy is charging me 250 for it. Which honestly I thought it would be way worse. So I’m happy. I figured ok if it’s gonna be any more than 300 I won’t do it. I frankly thought it would be 500 or more. But he gave me a really good deal. So I hope it’s gonna be good.

Lacks a proper 321 movement

Nice to see AMZWATCH show a watch that can be afforded by almost anyone rather than these pieces costing thousands and thousands which are out of reach for so many.

The watch is great, but I found that, while most of the watch's lume charges under any light, the X-Wing only shows up after being charged in actual sunlight (which Citizen recommends you do for several hours a month anyway). Also, of course, the lume does not last long at all after each charge.

The thing is you cannot get a watch with a bracelet like this, WR like this, sapphire glass and a Swiss movement for this price. I think it is very fairly priced when you consider what you're getting. Casio digital watches like you displayed have "jangly" cheap bracelets and clasps, plastic cases and mineral or acrylic glass. They also have low WR. They are cool for what they are but the build quality doesn't come close to the PRX. I think you were a little unfair in this regard.

Quite appealing. I wish it had 3 micro-adjust positions on the clasp, but maybe you can still get a decent fit on it. Citizen has been killing it with their automatics too, but I'm more interested in their Eco-drives. I have 1 Citizen in their "Super Titanium" and I love it (AT6080-53L). The hardness coating is good enough to resist most superficial scratches from normal wear, and Citizen knows how to make _very_ comfy titanium watches.

does this movement readilt fit the back of the dial face? can you post part numbers fot he movement and rubber gaslets

Me, I’d replace a regular quartz movement with a thermocompensated one. I’m sure that there are a mess of ETA movements that are the same size as one of ETA’s PreciDrive thermocompensated models. I’m not sure I’ve seen any PreciDrive movements offered for sale at the usual sellers of watch parts. I haven’t looked very hard, however.

How long did the service take? ...and I fully agree. Neo-vintage watches? Completely fine for a total overhaul. Beautiful piece. Congrats.

I’m sure you have already figured this out but if you get it up to full charge it should maintain a charge as kind as you want. Once fully charged and you wear it at least once per month, like I do, you will always have enough charge.
