Приєднався 2 січ 2018
Since 1981, Shirley Heinze Land Trust has been dedicated to the preservation and restoration of significant natural areas throughout northwestern Indiana. Today, more than 2,700 acres across Lake, Porter, LaPorte, and St. Joseph counties are permanently protected, and many of our nature preserves are open to the public to explore and enjoy.
Shirley Heinze Amphitheater Project
Meadowbrook Nature Preserve has long served as a place of learning, exploration, and stewardship. With over four miles of public hiking trails, Meadowbrook is the perfect place for children and adults to gather outside for fun experiences in nature.
With your support, we will build an amphitheater, so that the community can experience this unique outdoor setting. If we raise $50,000 the Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority will match your donation. Help us hit that goal for the match!

Fantastic video! I had a hiking group had to make a sudden change so TODAY, 7/8/22, I am going out there to Lydick again. The video does a great job of exposing the uniqueness. Of course I have spent a lot of time at Pinhook Bog Upland Trail and Pinhook Bog, Lydick is amazing and thank you Shirley Heinze Land Trust Nature Preserves for putting your whole heart in all you do!
i love this environment, thank you

Thoughtfulness and planning for the benefit of all. Working with Mother Earth for the enjoyment of all.
Exciting stuff. That’s a lot to look forward to!
Thank you for posting this informative webinar. I've long been interested in how the impacts of climate change are hitting us here in NWI. Thank you, also, Larry, for such an engaging discussion of its local effects.
1) By reflecting away 30% of ISR the albedo, which would not exist w/o the atmosphere, makes the earth cooler than it would be without that atmosphere like that reflective panel set on the dash. Remove the atmosphere/GHGs and the earth becomes much like the Moon or Mercury, a barren rock with a 0.1 albedo, 20% more kJ/h, hot^3 on the lit side, cold^3 on the dark. Nikolov, Kramm (U of AK) and UCLA Diviner mission all tacitly agree. 2) the GHG up/down welling, “trapping”/”back” radiating/delaying/intercepting, 100 % efficient, perpetual warming loop requires "extra" energy which according to RGHE theory comes from 3) the terrestrial surface radiating "extra" energy as an ideal black body which 4) cannot happen because of the non-radiative heat transfer processes of the contiguous atmospheric molecules and as demonstrated by experiment, the gold standard of classical science: principia-scientific.org/debunking-the-greenhouse-gas-theory-with-a-boiling-water-pot/ 1+2+3+4 = 0 Greenhouse Effect + 0 Greenhouse gas warming + 0 man caused climate change. Thanks for highlighting forest gaps -- they are exciting both for the boost to the herbaceous plant community and in maintaining diversity of the trees taking or filling the gap over the next century!
