My impression so far is that it is a well rounded scooter. Jack of all trades, master of none. In my mind, that is a good thing. For the price, it has a lot going for it, it does everything you want it to, and doesn't lack in any area. For me, it is a quick, easy way to get to and get around the city I live next to. It does that well, and so far I am very happy with it.

They say the max rider weight is 265 lbs, but I think it is a matter of wear and tear and acceleration, IMO higher weights could probably ride it OK.

NIU is known more for motorcycles and motor scooters, but kick scooters they are on equal footing with the Segway scooters. When you go to a Best Buy storez they have the Segway and NIU on display nedt to each other. The fact that Best Buy has chosen NIU and Segway to carry as their mainstream scooters shows they view NIU as a major player in high end/mid consumer scooters.

This is NIU's first scooter with a suspension. I typically ride on smooth sidewalk and city streets, so take what I say with a grain of salt. The suspension does help with bumps and cracks, it does provide some shock absorption. If you ride on rough trails other two suspension bigger tile scooters are better. But for the average consumer, this is NIUs best endeavor so far for a Jack of all trades scooter. I am happy with it for the city I use it in, which is mostly smooth trails and sidewalks.

What I like about it is that it is a well balanced set of features for the price. It does everything a bit better than the average competition, and NIU has been in the scooter market for years so you can expect they will continue to be around. I was waiting for them to put out one with a suspension, so I bought a preorder one. So far, I am happy with it.

Thanks for the feedback, I will do that, I have a tripod and remote now that I can use to take better videos. Expecting rain the next couple days though, so maybe this weekend I can shoot some video.

LOL, that's the same thing my wife said. She says I need her to do the video to shoot me on the scooter. That's why I called this a "tour of my city". My phone holder that I used is from my bike, which was a pain to put in and take out. I got a new one yesterday from NIU that should work better. I also just got a portable tripod for when I stop, this video I just pointed the scooter at me to film, lol!

Thanks! I'm a novice at editing videos, but will get better. I have plans for other rides as weather allows, I will post as I ride.

I was showing off, lifting it up.... Or I just always have a knack of doing things the hard way, lol!

I'm waiting for better weather to post a riding video, and the next 3 days are cold and more rain. Planning on a city riding tour, and thoughts after more experience with the scooter.
