I work with my dad raising beef cattle, pasture, and hay in Central Nebraska, using our favorite tractors, Minneapolis-Moline. We have a 60 head cow-calf operation and raise a few laying hens. I post new videos every 1 to 2 Sundays. If you are enjoying, please consider subscribing, it helps me out a lot.

Pulling a calf and preparations for planting
That is the automatic model of the 560. Pretty complicated with all the sensers.
Welcome back. I hope you have a couple more videos ready to go. I'd like to see the Molines in action and the breath taking scenery. We do not have views like that in the East.
400th sub here, great job! Hoping to see some consistent videos :)
Thank you! I will be working on a video this weekend, so hopefully another video coming out soon!
Thanks for sharing. You and your cameraman are producing and editing high-quality videos. Hybrid Corn Seed -- Grow Without Limits is high-tech. Flood (furrow) irrigation is low-tech and effective. The windows on your tractor are so clean, they look invisible. Your farming/ranching looks impressive. My grandfather raised Hereford cattle in Oklahoma. The cattle grazed on Kentucky bluestem grass planted on the ranch and fed on square-baled alfalfa hay grown on the ranch along with cattle "cake" produced by the local elevator. Note: Your IG link -- "There's an issue and the page could not be loaded." If it's possible to make donations on your IG account, I'll donate. Best wishes to you and your family.
Thank you for watching, and for taking the time to write the comment. I appreciate you letting me know about my IG link. I think it is fixed now, but if not, it’s @goodlife_farming
Good to see you back and very nice videos. 🚜 😁 congratulations on your new planter.
Ha! Nice to see a video drop. Ill hafta watch later, but the corn planting reminded me of the 10-12 acres of silage crop we planted every year until the price of seed got TOO crazy. Thanks for the effort to get one the vid out, its fun to see how things go in a different part of the great US of A. 😎
You’re leaving a lot of hay that is not being raked or baled
Super cool to see a new vid.👍👍
Muy bien!!!
Also have 6 other molines that have there place as well. Lol.
Very nice to know that I'm not the only person running molines. Lol. I cut with a M670 super diesel. Rake with a 445. And round bale with my G1000 diesel. Nice video. Keep it up.
Cool video! I'm used to watering on a much smaller scale, so it's neat to see what watering a large field involves. Thanks for sharing!
I learned how to cultivate on a late 40's Minneapolis Moline R. Had a mounted two row cultivator on the front. I have not cultivated in more than a few years but I have been thinking about using this method again in the future.
Those old “automatic “ balers were ahead of their time. So simple just press one button and let the baler do the rest.
Nice videos, enjoy the old iron. Baled for years with a 565a, it’ll make good bales, when it wants to.
Another great video!!!!! love to see how different farmers run there farm! I make videos very similar talking about our farm. keep up the good work and god bless
Hopefully things are going ok in your neck of the Plains. Weather has been tough on the livestock this year here on the West Coast.
Things are going fairly well. It has been very cold, and we’ve had a fair bit of snow. Luckily we have enough hay to feed the cattle.
What brand mill? Looks kind of like the fairbury I have.
It is a 6’ Dempster Windmill.
The 565a is a complicated baler. You had pretty good luck with for a first time. Being fully automatic there is lots to it . Those models hate damp hay.
I dream of being able to water my garden like this so dry in australia
Good in which state is you farm..
Our farm is in Nebraska.
Nice job agriculture farming @ nature life feel happy
Can"t wait to see those MM"s in action.
Geezer, I was stunned to see the growth the corn has put on since your cultivation video...although it has probably been longer than I think since then...lol
Yeah, this video was recorded in early July.
we had a front mount it was so nice and we could adjust it easy
dad got it new
we had a Minneapolis just like yours
👍👏👏👏
this is not farming,so sad
Why is it not?
Looks ok to me. All baler need a little adjust now and then.
A lister planter? I am unfamiliar with the term. I grew up on a small farm in Ohio but never farmed. We rented out our land. I did ride on the fender of a Ford tractor for hours with our leasee . My surrogate Grandfather who taught me many things about life that I live by 50 years later.
The purpose of a lister planter is to dig a big furrow, and place the seed down in the moisture compared to regular style corn planters which just have one disc cutting through the soil. Hopefully that answered your question.
I can’t remember the last time I saw a cultivator running through corn. Perhaps 40 years ago. This is a treat!
Running the front tires next to the ridge is a great idea.
👍Give your dad a big thumbs up for putting up with the camera and distractions. 😎
The corn is starting to look good. I can remember watching you plant it on a video a month ago. Looking forward to seeing its progress in future videos.
Could you do an equipment tour video. I"d like to see all your tractors.
In Iowa the farmers have OVER fertilized to the point where even years ago in areal photos you could not tell bodies of water from hay fields due to the nitrogen run off.
That bigass spreader made 600# look like an awfully small batch, but 100#/acre is still what ya need. Hope your lil corn plants get a splash of rain to put that product to good use! Luv the old machinery doing its job still. Can't wait to see the cultivator in action.
Great video! It sure looked like a nice day for fertilising. You could see the sun shining pretty nicely. Looking forward to seeing the next video.
Awesome video. just found your channel. was going to call it a day but now I gotta catch up. lol thanks for taking us along on your adventures.
Will you cultivate with a go dig?
Yes, a four-row go dig.
good channel, why only 200 sub. Greetings from Serbia
Seems like alot of tractor for that size of disk. But a go with what ya got.
I luv watching you guys makin' it happen with the older equipment. 😎 We grew silage corn for years, but it just didn't pencil out after all the costs rose so much 20 years ago. Hopefully you guys are making out on the grain aspect. It's fun to get your perspective.
Excellent process to watch and great commentary. I reckon we'll get to see the corn coming through on your next video. 🚜 🌽
I think you got a loose blade there
Yeah, we know, we just have to have the time to fix it.
Funny, I was just wondering when you was going to put out a video. And here it is. So where are you in comparison to a typical year. I had an opportunity to travel from Pennsylvania back to Iowa (my home) and it looked like everyone was just getting into the field. For my operation I am a good month behind. The camera angle from the disc is an interesting perspective and the sounds from the moving parts . Enjoy the prairie views in your videos, reminds me of what I am missing.
Compared to a typical year, we are about 2 weeks behind as far as planting. Thank you for watching!
It's going to look good once the corn has grown, and I'm looking forward to seeing future videos about it. On a side note i do like your T-Shirt. 👍🚜 👕
Do cows drink a lot of water?
They drink a lot compared to us! On a normal day, they drink about 10 gallons, and in the summer they drink about 20 gallons per day.
Aaaahh... the never ending noise of weanling calves. LoL
