In the 70's we used to fish fall Chinook on the Grays River on a friends property. For about 3 yrs a doe would come down all the time and swim around the fishing hole. Everybody would just stop fishing and let her enjoy her swim.

Try swimming it across its face maybe a couple feet. More of a natural movement and might entice a bite more. I’ve noticed some fish are too smart for you to just dangle a bait right in their face. Good luck bro 👌
