The eBay XL250R-F REbuild, Part 3: Fuel Tank Repair
Переглядів 2544 роки тому
Decided to have a go at pulling the dent out of the fuel tank to minimise the amount of body filler needed, and as a bit of experience, then went to town with some paint, it's not perfect by any means, but I think it turned out well :D

AU Falcon part 5. More Lighting?
Переглядів 1,7 тис.4 роки тому
So in order to better fix my horn and interior light switches, (By bypassing them entirely) I made a little switch panel! and added even more lights, because you can never have too many LEDS
AU Falcon Part 4. Shocking Steering wheel action

Diddling with the Falcon some more, this time doing a shockie and bypassing the dead horn button!

I was bored so I put dumb coloured lights in the Falcon!
AU Falcon Part 2. Damned head gasket!
Переглядів 9 тис.4 роки тому
Another unnecessarily long video about the ol' AU. This time I realised it popped a head gasket, and a few other bits, so that was fun I guess! This time I actually drive the car, briefly!
AU Falcon part one. Cleaning it up

Where is Frosty?
I accidentally stumbled across this after smoking. That was a long ride
I hate the air intake setup on these things. Bloody annoying
Sweet
Favourite video on this topic, I ordered one of these cute tiny tvs lol
How did you go with the Corolla mate you make any progress? 😆
I have enjoyed this video too. I also have an AU series 2 Ford Falcon SR sedan - Narooma Blue - Built October 29th - 2001. Cheers from Bill. Mount Gambier, South Australia.
Subscribed first time. I will continue to enjoy all of your episodes. Particularly with you restoring back your original Toyota Corolla. Cheers from, William. Mount Gambier, South Australia.
Would have been useful to see you removing that manifold and the nasty bolts at the firewall end.
If it starts hydraulicing that's when you do the damage.
I would have just put another engine in
They were made here too, in New Zealand.
Crt sets dont have pixels
Good job. Keep the AUs going forever. love the AU
Hey mate love your video is that car oil in the blue hand held ? And I've never change the gasket is it easy for a amatuer? I think mine might have a glue around it should I get more sealant just incase or order a whole new one wish i could send a pic mate so you could have a look I'm unsure how much would a mechanic charge me I just don't trust some of them they might throw more money on it then it is
The bloody extractors probably blue the head
Fill it full of head gasket copper shit. Fix the gasket
Dream on. Works like PS stop leak.
my crusise also gone since the horn pad stuck on
Any chance you can say which wires you found were for the horn? Finally found a video that has same problem as my 99au, but you didn't show which wires are involved. I've gone to the circuit diagrams and tried to find the correct connector but no luck. trying to do exact same thing as you but hoping to not have to removed the horn pad
seems no vids from this poster for 2 years, so I went and took off horn pad/airbag, quite simple procedure if have the 5 star tool, turns out there is a big grey connector under the dash, it has 4 wires going in and 4 wires coming out. The purple going in is the horn wire, that turns into blue going out, cut blue wire and splice in a suitable switch at dash, then another wire should go back to ground at same big grey connector ( black wire ). why would someone put up a video and not give this information since that was the whole point of the video?
dont worry did it myself, big grey connector under dash near steering wheel, has 4 wires going in and 4 coming out, the purple wire going in is the horn wire, it turns to blue coming out. Cut the blue wire insert a switch and other end of switch wire goes to black wire at same connector........your welcome.
picked up one of these recently, howd you go with the composite or rgb mod?
thanks mate caveman method saved me big time cheers

What sticker is that on the boot?
Nice mate, im about to go down this road and now i can do it with confidence cheers
Mate mine I think has done the gasket, I love the au but it is such a big money pit for someone like me who doesn't have the knowledge how to fix it mechanically 😢
I measure boot size in "Hookers" You can fit 5 in the trunk of an AU. 6 and a half in a Fairmont 9 in a fairlane....... 9! 9 in
