Flensbloc Bouldering: Ready to Climb and Dine Vegan?
Having had the Gen2 and now the Gen3 there is definitely a performance increase, alongside the other obvious benefits like permanent roof mount/no motors/RJ45 etc which makes it incredibly easy to run on 12v, install and forget about :)
Hi TheRoadTwoSpoons, thank you for watching and commenting. totally agree that 12v install with RJ45 will be a lot easier to run, currently looking into that. Are you on a standard Roaming package and what speeds are you getting?
@@Alivefrom45 Speeds vary depending on where we are/distance to ground stations etc. Typical is couple hundred MB down. Highest I’ve seen on a speed test was 440mb down. Yes we are on the roam package. Initially we purchased it in the Canaries and our current sub was purchased direct in the UK. We’re in Italy currently with it.
@TheRoadTwoSpoons so with that in mind have you removed your 4g system?
Hope you both have the best time! 🇺🇸
Hi Harry and Lauren, thank you for watching and supporting us, America is amazing.
⚔️💪👌👍🏴(stroke)
Hi Tomprentice6935, thank you for watching and commenting.
Interesting. Thanks for the comparison. I have the same setup but on the standard £90 package and not completely satisfied either. The speed test results are hit and miss and unpredictable. Is there a reason why you omitted any cost comparisons? Surely that would also have helped? Thanks nonetheless.
Hi DestinationDestiny, Thank you for watching and commenting. In regards to the cost I do briefly discuss them when comparing the result, however with the fact that prices changing all the time, I felt it would be better to leave price out, for example since filming this video the standard roaming price has gone up but the business packages have remained the same. To give you a point of reference as of today Standard Roaming (Caped at 50GB) is £50 p/m with Unlimited set at £96 p/m compared to the Commercial World Wide Roaming which we have (Caped at 50GB) which is currently £300 p/m from Freedomsat. If you are interested in switching to a Commercial plan please reach out to Freedomsat and tell them we sent you, they will be more than happy to help you out - www.freedomsat.co.uk/ I hope this has helped and please feel free to ask any other questions you may have, I'd be more than happy to answer them.
Amazing, the US is great, especially the size of the RVs! Have a brilliant trip
Hi @vanlovefest, thank you for watching and commenting, it's going to be amazing we're sure. We are going to check some RV's while we are here.
Nice pal, looking forward to a bit of NASCAR footage 😁 👍
@@MotoMadDave hi, thanks fir watching and commenting, it's on the cards. 👍
Brilliant we will look forward to seeing you both in the USA cool
@@LeonandDebbiefromRugby hi thanks for watching, it's amazing out here.
And i thought i,d done well by adding a bog, camping stove n mattress in my Transit van.
@@lazer5582 hi, thanks for watching and commenting, glad you liked the build. It is the second design we came up with, at first the shower was going behind the drivers seat, so glad we opted not to do the build that way, as this layout is far more flexible and user friendly.
Great van and great video. I recently took out all the Vitron from my van and replaced with the one unit, really did make life a lot more simple. Really like your layout 👍
@@TheFlaneur-up1ft hi, thanks for watching and commenting. In some ways a single unit would of been far easier, however because we built the van with going to the Arctic I was afraid that if I did that I would lose everything in one go. I do carry a spare dc to dc in the van just in case, but of course I'll be installing the xs 50 very soon.
@@Alivefrom45 that was a wise move, more redundancy for that trip was really well thought through. I went for the Ecoflow Delta Pro with their alternator charging device along with 500w flexi solars. I work from my van and so far even in winter it’s an absolute joy. The one reason I did go for the Ecoflow was the ability to use the roof aircon unit without worry.
@@TheFlaneur-up1ft love that, aircon in the van. To be fair that was why we added two maxair fans, while they do a great job of moving the air through and out of the van, the one limit is the outside temperature.
@@Alivefrom45 it’s a bit of an expense and I debated for quite some time, but I’m really happy I did opt for that aircon unit. Makes any really hot day no issue. I hope you are off on another fab adventure soon 👍
@@TheFlaneur-up1ft watch this space 🤫
Great video pal, such a lovely solid and well build van indeed. Everything looks so robust and fit for any adventure.. keep up the good work 👍
@MotoMadDave hi, thank you for watching. I do believe in do it right first time and we our adventures cutting corners was never an option. The only thing I can't take is a motorbike 👍
what a van mate it's awesome but them electrics scar the shit out of me lol 🤟
@@leephillips282 hi thanks for watching and commenting. In what way do the electrics scare you?
@@Alivefrom45 let's just say I'm not very good with wiring
Great video again Matt and a great way of explaining everything cool from both of us 😎👍
@@GPZ1100SSSA thanks fir watching and commenting. I want to cover off as much as possible, as part of the van tour, so everyone could understand what we had done to our van, with it being design with traveling to the Arctic in mind.
Ive done that with mine, taped to a lenght of wood and leave it in the sun for a while.
Hi CapTango, thank you for watching and commenting. It seems to be the only logical way to straighten out the trim, before use.
Ahh yay 🐬🐬🐬
Hi Harry and Lauren, thanks for watching and commenting.

Hi ThebaconSandwichCrypto, thank you for watching and commenting, I'm guessing you attended the event?
I'm guessing you left early.
@@Alivefrom45 no I was there the whole time. I most likely checked you in on the gate 😉
Thanks. Very helpful. Do you know if the interior set from Kantop would fit around the rear view mirror please? I have a reversing camera monitor attached to the mirror mount in a Citroen Relay like yours.
@@erickmcpherson6972Thank you for watching and posting your question. I believe it would, there is a cutout for a mirror, so if your screen is in the same place it should work just fine.
Great video, very informative regarding the pro’s & con’s. I have often wondered which ones would benefit me more while wild camping. You have now answered my question. Thanks 😊👍
Hi MotoMadDave. Thank you for watching, I'm glad you found the video useful and informative.
Thanks for the video. I will use your supplier to get the internal ones for my van.
@@franciskennedy1436 thank you for watching. Don't forget to use the discount code.
I don't think the video needed to be posted in every van page on facebook iv seen it on all the ones we are in . i think we all know how to put screens on windows , i personally didn't get past 1min as it gave me no info, bar how to put screens on a window .
Thank you @unigrip112 for watching the 1 min of the video. This video was structured so viewers could see how our outer screens fits and give them info around features of the screen. You would of noticed later in the video I do not include the fitting of the internal screens as this is the same process for all internal screens, I just show these in place. After this I go over the pro and con of each of the screens and share my conclusions. If you would care to watch more than 1 min, you may find the information you were hoping to find within the first 1 min.
Not everyone has your experience, so I say it's a great video for people not everybody like you 😜
@@GPZ1100SSSA thank you for watching and commenting. I hope you found the video useful.
Thinking of getting one of these. Did you by any chance used to climb at Craggy Guildford
@@gritmasterbull hi, yes I did for many years. I still climb as you can probably tell, however no longer at Craggy.
which type of van is this on?
@@the_wilkini hi, thanks for watching and posting your question. Theis on our 2016 citroen relay.
Like you Matt we saw and bought one at the NEC, much asking the same lines... this product seems far better than the old school alternative. Also, thankfully, we've not needed to use it.
@@66TripsLeft Hi thanks for watching. Judging by how popular they are becoming and the different places I see them now, they must be effective and we believe anyone with a van or a boat should get one of these.
Hi pal, I met you in the car park the other day lol. This is a great video and something I will be adopting to make myself a custom fit roof rack for my solar when i get there.. Nice content and well explained 👍
@@MotoMadDave Hey Dave, it was great to meet you love the van and what you are doing with it. Glad you enjoyed the video and like the content.
Hi Matt, Just found your video. Many thanks for suggesting the Fire Safety Stick, great job in covering the key points. :) Just to clarify the point on leaving it in a fire. Firstly of course, if you can direct the spray from it to the small fire (before the fire becomes too established) and it is safe to do so, that will always be the best method. However, if the fire has got too big or it is in an awkward position to reach, then yes you can leave the activated stick in a confined space while you escape to safety. That confined space will then fill with the active vapour to repress the fire. And yes although in theory if left in a fire it would after a while self activate, by that stage the fire would be quite big (probably too big for the Fire Safety Stick). If the top protective cap was in place, then it would need to melt away to expose the black activating resin to ignite. Hope that all makes sense, but if any one has any other queries, please feel free to ask the question. Regards Andrew - Fire Safety Stick
Hi FireSafeyStock, thank you for watching and adding you advise, it is really appreciated. Thankfully as I said I have not had to use it.
Hi FireSafetyStick, please feel free to share our video on your socials.
We have the same smoke alarm. Nice and tidy 👌🏼
Hi Rita, they are so easy to setup, its great peace of mind.
We need one of these! & a carbon monoxide one 🫣🥹
@@harryandlauren Thanks for watching. There is a combined smoke and carbon monoxide version on Amazon
Hi good to see a product that seems to work, is it still performing? Also I was watching thinking about the length you cut to and the run off on either side. Would you have cut it a little longer on both sides in hindsight? Also ive seen it mentioned to angle it slightly?
Hi Andrewgilbert, thank you for watching and posting your question, I can confirm it is still stuck in place and has not moved at all. In regards to the length it covers both sides of the door opening. in regards to going any further forward, i feel it would be hard because of the shape of the front of the van and it could cause an area where the it may peel more easily, with regards to extending backwards the reel is of cause long enough to do so, however i feel this offer little use as currently the water does not come in, for the most part it is for when you open and close the if it is raining more often than not we would close the door. One big thing it does do it stop that annoying spray coming at you when you close the slam the side door. I hope this helps.
Thanks for this mate, gonna grab one for my van
Hi eddy_creative, thank you for watching and commenting. Glad you found the video useful.
I don't get why more people aren't attending this event? Plenty of space, easy to get to on the motorway, food and events etc. Are we loosing the whole van life culture and the VLF is becoming the Glastonbury of it all>
Hi AVanlifeThing, thank you for watching and commenting. This event was great and already planned in for next year. Did you go this year? I hope we are not loosing the van life culture, maybe its a case of there a far more events and as a result people are spread out across a wide set of events now. This event was bigger than last year and i have no doubt it will be even bigger next year.

Hi Rita, its all good. it was great to catch up with you again. See you soon.
living in the back of the van I presumed you would install the opening into that back and not the front seat!!
@@1WHATSUP1 thank you for watching and posting your question. The safe is designed to fit under the driver or passenger single seat, so if you had one of these in the rear of the van it should fit just the same. Best thing to do it you are interested in installing is speak with theft stop.
How many ghost busters? 😂
Hi guys, thanks for watching, there were others who were not even in their line up there 🤣
It's because the Portsmouth Ghostbusters arranged an event within the comic con called "Mass Hysteria" because the date coincided with the first movie's 40 anniversary! Ghostbusters from all over came (I'm the Ghostbusters in the neon green baseball cap in this video!) I believe Andy and his Portsmouth Ghostbusters raised over £2000 for cancer research.
@@lewisd580 Hi Lewis, thanks for watching and adding this extra information about the event. Very well done to the Ghostbusters.
Hi can this be used as a fridge and a freezer combined or do you have to use as only fridge or only freezer thanks
Hi Mychills123. Thank you for watching and posting your question. Yes the unit has two sections the smaller of the two is a fridge section, it you like you can make the whole thing a fridge by just setting the temperature to that of a fridge

You can save £7.50 by stopping just before the exit anpr camera and opening your boot drive 100yrds and close it then you don't need to pay for parking
Hi aylesburynumptydriver, thank you for watching and commenting, have you tried this? Did it work?
Yes it works they have to have an entry and an exit. Just drive in don't pay. And when you leave you do a right by the cottage you'll see the exit camera. Just stop in the convenient wide bit and ensure the rear plate can't be seen. Drive out pull up once back on the main road and removed any accidental bits of newspaper that had got blown up and stuck to rear plate

Born at Sennen a mile from lands end in 1959 ,lands end was a great playground for a young boy on his bike there was next to nothing there back then now look at it a absuloute shit hole
Hi Neilmcclary, thank you for watching and commenting. It's a shame but it's the world we live in now.
Yes
Hi Grahamtravers, thank you for watching and commenting.
Britain is a rip off everywhere since covid times. Everyone/everywhere is charging far more than pre 2020 prices and we've just allowed this to happen. The people of Britain just lack a backbone nowadays.
Hi Robsimpson, thank you for watching and commenting. We totally agree, these companies seemingly are wanting all the money there never got in Covid and they want it yesterday.
Stopped there a few years back while travelling around Britain. Carpark price was enough to shock me at the time, although parking all through Britian was an eye opener as we rarely have to pay for parking outside major cities. Yes defiently overpriced for what you see although nice to say you've been there I suppose.
Hi @bermietaylor, thank you for watching and commenting. For us it was the cost of the photo at the post more than anything. If you go to John O'groats, its free, even when we visited Nordkapp at the very top of Norway the globe was free to have a photo at.
Car park is now anpr so just don't pay and make sure rear plate is covered on exit (by the cottage)
