Bulldog Bender Demonstration and Testing

Disclaimer: The cable shown in this video is for demonstration purposes and has been used multiple times, creating the wrinkles and tears in the overall outer jacket. This video shows The Bulldog Bender being used on 500 MCM wire and tested on several different styles of metal. Both Versions of the tool are shown. 500 MCM and smaller, along with the 600-750 MCM bender. This is an American made ...
I'm just a farmer, doing my own electric service install with 350kcmil x 350 x 4/0 triplex. 200 amp service so its overkill given the distance, but I want minimal voltage drop for the motors. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't know if the bends in the box at 2:06 would meet the minimum bending radius requirements, would they? Or do inspectors not really care? I only have to do the 3 wires for the meter socket, the heaviest gauge I've used prior with underground lines feeding electric water heaters is 2 gauge, so I wouldn't buy the tool. I'd just use a conduit bender or ratchet straps. Just like everything else with this project, you have to do everything you can on your own as a farmer to have any hope of a profit.
Getting the tool now where do i get that beat?
What a hack job. How is that kind of insulation damage even legal. Yes, I have many years experience running 500mcm wire.
Did you read the description. It’s old wire
Would this be better than a bender for emt conduit?
No
I boiled for 1.5 minutes & bushings went right in
I sooooo wish someone would have said how long to boil ???? :-((((((
Does it work with 14 awg? 😂.
😂
Excelente!!
Your video saved me from giving up and just ordering new coil overs. What a lifesaver. Can’t thank you enough.
What size is the cable ?
Shut up and take my money!
Do you have a part number for those bushing ?
Sorry I do not. Check with TCI (Total cost involved) Thanks 😊
You're a lifesaver!!!!
Glad we could help !!
Wear do you find the new bushing part ?
Bruce Mentzer TCI - Total cost involved
Yes, this worked perfectly on my TCI bushings as well. Thank you for sharing your very simple procedure! A real time saver. One note; just make sure those bushing have been softened up in boiling water long enough.
Jeffery Hill Thanks, glad it helped !
I sooooo wish someone would have said how long to boil ???? :-((((((
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
Scott Grubert Your welcome! Crazy how easy it is.
@@BulldogBender Very much so! Just so you know, you are my hero! I was fighting for over an hour, didn't get any where. Googled a very specific request, and there you were, my hero. It took me 2 minutes to do both shocks. I am very happy! Not trying to be creepy but again, Thank you sir!
Scott Grubert That’s Awesome. We are badass. Lol
Track id?
Nice!
Thanks Wilder, Works great you will have to try it.
How well do these work for an LL or LR?
Ramosel, Unfortunately, the benders are not as effective on the LL’s & LR’s as they are with LB’s, due to the opening on LL ‘s & LR’s are perpendicular to the conduit hub. The benders will be of some benefit. The best solution would be to install a junction box if possible.
I cant believe how easy this was, I tried for an hour until I called TCI and they suggested watching your video. Thanks
Charlie Bryson Glad we could help. We struggle for about an hour, and i thought there has to be a better way. Haha
Where did you get the bushings?

I want this !
Wow, I wish I had seen this when I was working on my coilovers. I recorded a video of me using a bolt, some fender washers and a nut to pull it through. It worked for me but not as quick and neat as this was - nice going!
How about a straightforward price on a set for 750 mcm.?
You can contact me at Austin@BulldogMFG.net if you are looking for a price on a tool set. Thanks for checking the video out. www.BulldogManufacturing.com
Push it to the limit....
Please note that the wire shown in this video is for demonstration purposes only. The wrinkles and tears in the outer nylon jacket are much worse due to continued testing. The insulation on this wire is still intact. You can go to our website for more information on the uses of the outer nylon jacket and it's intended purpose.
Can it bend 19-9's in a substation
For 100 mm2, how.much.or up to bigger size of wire
