One of my favourite rally cars, used to love seeing this fantastic car out on the Northland events. Sadly a few weeks ago the car was involved in a huge roll on the Dargaville Rally. Both occupants were ok but sadly the car was severely damaged, but the good news is that Barry is already well underway with its rebuild, hopefully this will give him a little inspiration.

Cannibal Bay rd is the venue for this day 2 of the McLellan Freight Rallysprint double header, Hosted by the South Otago Car Club.

2024 Barry Robinson memorial Wyndham Rally

Craig Marshall gets caught out in the braking zone to this bridge. This was the last run of 4, the finish line is 200m away and he's winning his class, then this happens. He does make the finish line, albeit on 3 wheels and maintains his class win.

Just goes to show how quickly things can turn pear shaped, Here Steve Goodare has a bit of a moment in his Mighty Nissan after clipping a bank, luckily, or almost unluckily i was there and caught the action. It was a freak moment and i really did not intend to take photos at this spot, i was about to turn around and head off as nothing was happening.....but then!!! Watch the in car video, we la...

A few moments of Alex Kelsey's creation, his fabulous Peugeot MC2. A car he designed and built himself....stunning and sounds fantastic.

A quick look at Murray Thomas's Rover V8 Engined Chevette. We first saw this car in 2015 at a Northland car club gravel Hillclimb, moving on 10 years and we came across it at the Eastern Southland Car Club event Mt Misery. From the top of the North to the Bottom of the South. Obviously Murray has been updating this car for a while and it looks stunning, sounds great and seems to go pretty well.

Action from Mt Misery Hillclimb, Southland, NZ. hosted by the Eastern Southland Car Club. A little repetitive due to also marshalling at this point, but I'm sure the competitors will enjoy. A great day with a varied field of vehicles, the rain held off and a well executed event by the car club. Awesome day.
