I'm glad you got lucky with Ecuagenera. I've ordered from them twice, and both times they've done me dirty! The first time I ordered the anthurium queen. It had 3 leaves, one healthy, one completely yellow, and one crispy and starting to yellow. The second time I ordered an adansonii mint varigated. It came with 6 leaves, two and a possible were healthy. I'm happy to know they're not a complete fraud. But I'll stick with ordering from Etsy...unless the plant fam has any other overseas vendor suggestions.

Did you purchase the large Lux from Ecua? Cause if that’s so, then that’s the problem lol. The acclimation process can take a while. I normally acclimate imports in high humidity tubs and use a chunky mix or sphagnum with lots of perlite, orchid bark and some horticultural charcoal. I also use Mycorrhizal inoculant to help with the rooting process and that helps a lot! Also anthurium aren’t as gracious when it comes to underwatering 😬.

Luxurians is thirsty she'll get those yellow edges if you let her dry out. I have mine in pon and it stays perfect as long as I water it the moment the water reservoir runs out. Normal house humidity

I like using bonide systemic houseplant insect control for fungus gnats and I mix water with hydrogen peroxide to water my plants to help with it too.

When I got my athirium crystalinum seedling I immediately switched it to semi hydro. But I use Oafcal chips instead, with a wick and a water reservoir. I also use nutrient solution of my plants. So far so good. It put out three new leaves without a hitch and it sizes up a lot.

Where did you get that super large orchid pot? The clear one? I can never find the super big ones!

Your plants need more water on a regular basis.

Possibly more humidity for the crispy tips. I made one of those greenhouse cabinets not too long ago and the new growth I've seen in there hasn't been crispy. I've also noticed that if you under water them while they're putting out a leaf, the new leaf will probably end up deformed or get those holes. One of my newest leaves has a hole 🤧 but I'm fairly certain its due to me forgetting to water and letting it dry out for too long

You need more yellow leaves so you can have a full queso plant! 💛🧀 It's too bad they don't last very long 😅

The clarinervium was my very first anthurium too and it always looked exactly like yours. Crisping and yellowing everywhere. I thought I was just bad at growing anthurium until I took a chance and tried some different ones. Well, turns out it was just this specific one that didn't like my care 😂 Still no idea how others do it

Such a good video, thanks for posting! I'm having a hard time with my Luxurians as well. I've rotted it twice. The clairanerviam really doesn't like too much water from what I found. I have mine in orchid mix in an orchid pot and only water it when I can't see any moisture on the pot, so about every two weeks. Then I drench it.

I’ve started using an orchid bark, perlite, charcoal, moss, worm casting, and tree fern mixture basically soilless. Total turn around

I’m not shocked that the seedling doing its thing. Something about starting in your care just makes the plant real better. I don’t know why. Beautiful collection you have some big ones over there. Your El Choco red 😮. Absolutely stunning. Both of them. I would leave them separate because that little one is going to show out like nobodies business
