FYI, those are not fresh pine boughs you added to your dried fruit. The darker green pieces are from a regular spruce tree. The lighter ones are from a blue spruce tree.

I don't understand the distinction between winter and Christmas.
This is of course only my opinion but I would say: All of it works for Christmas but when it comes to winter decorating it tends to be -Icier colours, greens, and browns (not red). Snowmen, snowflakes, pinecones and pine trees work for winter but Christmas trees, bells, Santa, elves, ornaments, and mistletoe - not so much. But really it's all personal preference. I say, do what makes you smile 😀
