My Top Albums of 2022 ft. a big painting of a tiger

It's that fantastic time of the year when we make resolutions we'll never keep and make some shitty lists about good art, enjoy! So when I sat down to rank some albums I didn't even know where to start so I made this google doc where I ranked all the songs of each album in here to give me a good idea of where these albums go in the list so you can look at it here below. docs.google.com/document...

17 Year Old Thru-Hikes The Colorado Trail | Episode One
Переглядів 2,7 тис.3 роки тому
The first installment in my overly dramatized series of my experience on The Colorado Trail. In July of 2021, I set out to hike the 500 mile long colorado trail. As young as I am, the trail proved to be a maturing experience that taught me what it's really like to live on your own. The trail was originally a pipe dream for me, something to do years from now when the time is right, but sometimes...
Colorado Trail Thru-Hike | 6.5lb Gear List
Переглядів 70 тис.3 роки тому
After walking 500 miles across the state of Colorado, here is my Colorado Trail Ultralight gear list. Coming in at 6.5lbs, I believe my gear list is of course ultralight but not ultra-uncomfortable... It took me all the way eh :) Even though it was summer in Colorado, the temps still gets to 35 degrees at that high elevation the state is known for, meaning the cold is definitely something to ta...

Hiking Winding Stair Mountain Loop - The Ouachita Trail

A relatively unknown loop trail running through the Talimena mountain range, offering gorgeous views of the Ouachita Mountains, and overall a calming walk through the woods. My Gear lighterpack.com/r/amqr8x Date Hiked: 9/26/20 - 9/28/20
A Challenge of Rivers and Swamps- Hiking Eagle Rock Loop

A hike that never failed to get me soaked. Although it's only a 30 mile loop trail, the diversity of mountains, rivers, and swamps is a beautiful package that made me grateful for the wild expanses of the Ouachita National Forest. If you want to see the gear I carry lighterpack.com/r/amqr8x My Instagram camapel

“Actively not Settling “ well said. I’m 66, my friends, family and house tell me “You are settled” my mind says No. I’m actively not settling but only in my mind. Your videos are very well made for your age thanks for the inspiration. I will plan to return to the CT last time there was 1990.

The downside of a campsite with a view like that is no water. I hiked the loop last weekend. Water levels are much lower now than when you were there in this video. Except for crossing the Little Missouri in 3 locations, I was able to rock hop everything else and keep my feet dry. Also, trail maintenance crews are out now weed eating and improving the trails, so it's not so overgrown. Awesome trail.

Trekking poles really help you with stability when you're crossing rivers and creeks. Your balance is different when you have a 20-30lb pack on your back. If you step and lose your balance because a rock shifts or your foot slips on algae, you can't correct your balance as easily as you normally can without the weight of a pack.

@@camapel Right on. I get the same kind of pixilation in my videos during particularly "busy" clips, and I was wondering if that was the program (I use HitFilm) or the method of encoding. I'm guessing it's the encoding then. Awesome videos though! I'm doing my thru-hike this summer; SO pumped!!!

@@lazarusmonkeymansoutdoorad2170 Thanks! So I’ve heard UA-cam has two types of codecs, one is for channels with a small amount of subscribers and the other is for ones with a large amount of subscribers. I don’t know the threshold but essentially the small subscriber codec sucks.

I am apparently so out of touch with current music. I tend to go through periodic preferences but most of the time anyone looking at my playlist would be obliged to describe it as eclectic. Yep, my musical tastes are all over the place. The overalls for some of the albums didn't really strike me any interest, though you did describe a few I need to explore a bit. Who knows, I might like them.
