You are a very good at what you do. Last year, almost the entire Christmas village that my mother had painted/fired over the years (began early '80's) shattered into pieces onto the floor whilst arranging the display on a high shelf. Broke my heart. So, I've got a lot of work ahead of me to replace them. What brand of acrylic paints do you recommend?
Happy to see someone doing ceramic, I am from Canada, cannot find Duncan paint or ceramics anymore. I have save some from years ago and doing them in my kitchen, I am still learning from people like you on Facebook. Thank you so much. I do speak French but I do understand about everything you say. Hope to see you again. Ann from. province of Quebec, Rouyn-Noranda, Canada. 💕
You do such beautiful work, gets me in the mood for Christmas. Those trucks are so pretty in different colors. Just relaxing watching you. Thanks for sharing with us.♥️♥️♥️♥️👍👍👍

@@rosemariesceramics7309 I did a second coat of bases painting black on some thinking it would help but when I went to dry bush it didn’t come out right any tips of how to fix it?
Aloha! I realize that this video is a year old but I do have a question. Does that dry brush technique work for "traditional" ceramic painting (i.e. kiln-fired pieces). My wife an I have recently started painting ceramics as a hobby and I am actually getting ready to paint this very piece. Mahalo!
All ceramic pieces can be dry brushed. It’s always better if you have a textured surface. Harder to dry brush on a flat surface. Always start out with a basecoat, usually darker than what you’re going to dry brush over it.
Hi rosemarie, love your talents and teachings. You remind so much of my grandmother she was very crafty as well. I have a question do you ship outside new york perhaps california your kits or the ceramic itself? Thank you I look forward to see more videos ❤

It’s a non fired textured white paint that looks like snow. It’s applied over acrylics or glazes. They also make one that can be fired on. I use the non fire snow.
Hello. I don't know if you're still selling these beautiful houses, but I'd love to purchase one from you if you are. I messaged you last week about paint brushes on Facebook. I did find some brushes from a ceramic shop online. Anyway, I know you were on vacation, so no rush in getting back to me. I've enjoyed watching your videos so much in the past week or so. Thank you so much for sharing them.
@@rosemariesceramics7309 Oh, that makes me SO happy!! I've looked all over the internet trying to find it, in case you didn't have it (with no luck). I'll message you on Facebook.

Glad it was helpful!

Is it ok to base cost twice on one piece or should you base cost only one time?
Once is enough since you’re putting other colors over it. But be sure there aren’t any white spots

When you finish your acrylic project do you spray sealer or paint sealer?
I usually spray a matte or satin and do it outside.
When you paint your acrylics do you basecoat first?
If I’m dry brushing the piece, I base coat first.
How much do you sell them for after you paint them?
I really don’t sell finished pieces. I mostly teach.
What would be a good way to gloss them? Would normal acrylic gloss and sheen be ok.
Yes. You can either spray them with gloss or use a paint on sealer.
Should I base paint every ceramic object?
Not necessarily. Only if you’re going to dry brush all of the colors.
Can barely hear you
Sorry. I think I’ve gotten louder with later videos.

Would you be better off clear glazing the inside if you would want a candle inside instead of painting it?
Yes, if you put a real candle inside. But I usually recommend a battery operated candle or fairy lights.

I usually use a matte spray.

You don’t have to seal ceramic busque before you base coat it. Are you on ceramic or plaster? And it shouldn’t chip.
